I’m an artist and all my favourite artists on TH-cam recommend it but I’ve been seeing so many negative reviews about the lack of content. Thanks for telling us that there is a good amount of content for creative people.
Ok, first things first, I am not a fan of a lot of Skillshare practices either but let me explain some things here.
First, Skillshare actually was Providing two months free trial through such links, but it actually was pretty long ago, they changed this practice around one year ago. Check the date for the video that you referred, most likely it was from 2020 or maybe even earlier. from 2021 Skillshare actually changed this timeframe to one month only (to be fair it was only two weeks until recently, but they decided to up it to one month). There is no fault of creator here, the video most likely was just old. but next time, when you click on such links you just need to be very cautious and read what you're actually offered.
Now about yearly subscription charge. That is actually most likely your fault. I subscribed to free trial myself as well and I actually chose to be charged recurring monthly fee, not yearly. Most likely you just overlooked it and just pressed next and Skillshare just assumes that you subscribe for yearly, because majority of people are doing that because it is actually much cheaper.
now about credit cards. 99% of all the services that are giving you a free trial or actually asking for credit card details in advance. There is nothing dishonest here. They do this because a lot of people are miss using the service when they're only asked for an email, like using fake emails or repeatedly registering with new email accounts to use the service forever free. As you may understand this will only harm company no matter how good or honest it is. in past Skillshare are actually allowed to register without credit card, but the amount of fraudulent use was simply insane, and they just canceled this policy.
Now about the price, I can agree with you on this one, except for exchange rate. skillshare monthly subscription price is just way too high, and they made it deliberately for people to subscribe for yearly subscription. I know this is actually pretty predatory. But it's their decision. And yours is to not subscribe if you feel like the price is too high
Be very careful when learning online, there are lots of online scams specially related to art. Just look at Pencil Kings, Schoolism and Watts goodluck if you really learn what they are teaching to you. Ask yourself how many percent on fundamentals and concepts are they teaching to you? Fundamentals is the key in learning art. Not famous names such as Nathan Fowkes who doesnt lnow how to teach.

Sometimes it is with the cost to pay for something a little more professional. I remember trying to learn Linux for the first time reading tutorials online and then I bought a book on Linux and the book was written by a professional and then edited by a professional and I think I learned a lot more in a small amount of time. Sure, I could learn it for free online but the book just gave me that extra headstart. Skillshare is the same I'm thinking. Don't know, never tried it though.

Nick thanks for your input , I think you are correct , everything is available online to learn and is mostly free. I believe skillshare you are paying for the platform as a service to have all your desired training on a simple place , on demand. Like having your netflix account. Other than that I do not see justification to pay a whole year. Unless between friends you can pitch in $25 each you can the whole year for that little amount of money.

Hi Nick, after running my TH-cam channel for a couple of years, I found the easiest way to gain subs is to release long videos that is part of a course I made. I found viewers appreciate a course video way way more than small videos. Just want to share my experience seeing you have high quality videos but lack of subs.
Thank you for that Frank, I appreciate your support. But I prefer to make this type of content, short and straight to the point. As for the lack of subs, there are other reasons why it happens, which I will fix (Hopefully) in a near future :)
Am beating whether to go to university or skill share? Trying to get my bachelor’s for UX/UI designer to design website interface and apps but not sure what will get me a Job not begin a waste
Yeah I watched a course once where I'm knowledgeable at just to check if they know what they're talking about and let me tell u this.... I uninstalled skillshare. I don't even wanna explain why lmfao. Reading a book is better then skillshare tbh

You are not registering on Impact directly. You can register there through affiliate programs that are on Impact, example of which can be Canva. Just search "Canva Affilate Program" and register there. Please know that you need to have some kind of presence to be eligible for any affiliate program (you need to have a website, or blog, or TH-cam channel, or any other social media with following)

Hello my skillshare account got banned can i use same paypal account with my new skillshare account.
You will most likely get banned again for that. Having connections with banned accounts is one of the reasons to get banned
It happens to my account also I used my old laptop in signing in then I got a notice of banned so I msg the customer service. Then my account get back to use.
Skillshare tutorials are often outdated....they don't update and lots of actions can't be done because Illustrator has been updated....

Well rather than learning that Skillshare Premium is not a waiste of money, I learned that this video is a waiste of time.
It was helpful to me to decide not to get Skill share. So this video saved my time and money.
Skillshare is nothing special, in most cases i fin the information i need better presented in youtube for free.
And the overall quality in skillshare is low.
