Thanks for being a normal person doing a you tube video. I learned a lot watching this, and I didn't have to put up with the like of those spazmonic youtubers who seem like they're on crystal meth. Calm well spoken and to the point. Thanks for that
Evan--great video! So helpful and thank you! I have a DJI Smart Controller for my Mavi Air 2--hoping I could fly the Zoom with the same controller? Is that right?
I really liked the way you described the features but my issue is that when you were talking about certain features, for example "active track", you didn't show where on the screen the access was for it. I watched it a few times and even backed up the video numerous times but I'm still a bit confused. Thanks again.
Great video thanks for the knowledge. Is the obstacle avoidance automatically programmed into the mavic or so we have to set it up? and if so, how? Thank you!
Enjoyed your video. Just got my Mavic 2 Zoom after much research. I’m not a professional photographer or videographer. However, I’m fascinated by drones and look forward to flying it! Thanks again.
Do you think for someone thats wanting to get a drone that the mavic 2 zoom is a good drone and if so what are the must have accessories to go ahead a get ? Thank you for the time and effort on the video ! Liked and subscribed 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Great information man. Seems like a lot of people are having difficulty making a choice between the Zoom & 2 Pro. It would have been nice if they would have added a zoom feature on the 2 Pro just like on the Zoom. I was on the DJI site earlier and I did not see anything about the Mavic 3. Has some information been released recently on a release date?
Very nice job on your review. Nice and clean and to the point. I think this might be my next drone. I love it for all the reasons you talked about, especially the zoom feature and the omni obsticle sensor setup. I watched some other videos on the zoom where it navigated between some tree branches, very close together. That's pretty amazing to me, and with all the other features it's a lot of bang for the buck. Darn, if it only had adjustable apature, but then it might compete too much with the Pro model. Marc T.
Great walk through. I was thinking about getting this Mavic 2 Zoom just for the dolly. Is it also possible to access the camera without having to fly the drone? That is, could you put it on a table and just control the camera indoors too?
Hi Evan.Iam thinking of buying the mavic pro zoom.I live in South Wales,UK,(Can be a little damp at times ),and my wife and I are spending a few days in Scottish island's this September 2019.My question is, will damp -wet weather damage the drone?.I obviousley will not fly in heavy rain, but would like to know what you think.thank you for your informative video, and look forward to future videos. Alun Richards, Swansea South Wales.
I live in Gothenburg Sweden, equally damp and have no issues, although I don’t fly it in heavy fog. If you noticed water on the lens it probably too wet.
Your video footage is amazing! How do you make it so colorful? I watched so many videos of mavic zoom, but all of them seemed so grey, not like yours. Now I really want this drone))
Great video man!!!!!! Quick simple and well done. So many others made me crazy lol. I got this Zoom and was like dam all these setup videos are too long and dumb.
Hi Evan, I just saw your video. You did a good job keeping it simple. I have had a Mavic Air for about 15 months and I have become pretty good at flying it. I am thinking about upgrading to the Zoom. Now that you have had the Mavic 2 Zoom for several months, do you stilll recommend it? Also do you think it might be worth waiting until the Mavic 3 comes out because then the prices of the Zoom may drop from their current level. I am anticipating your reply.
Hi Bill, I'd definitely recommend upgrading to one of the larger drones, much better for flying! I have a rule with gear: "never wait for the newer version because you'll be waiting forever!" Upgrade today! If you enjoyed the video please consider subscribing :)
Excellent "how to" and review video! Thanks. I gather that the Pro 2 with its Hasselblad camera is a lot better for low-light conditions, because its sensor is much larger (much more low-noise light-gathering area). However, I too am finding it hard to imagine getting really usable results without optical zoom! Some would say that 20Mpix (2 Pro Hasselblad) vs. 12Mpix (2 Zoom) is a huge difference, but it's not as big as one might think. It's actually only about 30% more pixels on X and 30% more on Y axis.
notice how he didn’t have one criticism of the drone and he immediately tries to sell us the $700 DJI controller upgrade?? it’s because he’s a DJI paid stooge.

I am liking the tips and examples you give here. Very inspirational.
Is it good for wedding shoot ?
Can i do a panorama with the zoom?

How do I setup the time per video

What kind of plug is i to plug into phone.
Looking to buy Mavic 2 Zoom..........
I’m not sure if I was listening well but I was wondering if it had the feature when you click a button and it comes right back to you
yes it's called "Return to Home" on the remote.
Can you do a diy vid of a car in cinematic?

Yes.
Hi Evan. How do you prevent the image getting darker or lighter when zooming in or out?
Use the AE Lock button near the top right of the screen (auto exposure lock)
@@EvanThomas when I hit the lock nothing locks. Not sure why

wow,, this is an amazing drone,, that super res photo is phenomenal
yes it is!
Isn't there an optical zoom that goes beyond the 48mm focal length ?
no, but if you shoot in 4K then you crop your video to 1080 and it will appear more than 48mm.
@@EvanThomas I thought that if you flew in 1080, you could get an extra digital zoom out of it? Not sure about it though.
@@marctrainor5595 I am looking for verification if you can get extra digital zoom in 1080 too. I hope so.
Kind of late to the party here but yeah, I often shoot in 1080@30 and zoom to 96mm.

3:01 the Mavic 2 pro is 907 grams
Good tips Evan, heja!
good review😀
Thanks!
Hi thanks for your review and information thanks for sharing got my support and sub cheers 👍👍🇬🇧
More sturdy? What does that mean? Do you mean ‘sturdier’?
I bought it because of the remote control, feels like an 80s design
Thanks for the info dog
Thank you
1/2 inch camera really sucks when it comes to low light..It should have been a one inch camera like the 2 pro I sold mine and bought the M2P
i stil dont know how to take 48MP pictures
I show it at the end of the video.
0:37 24mm to 48mm (not 28mm)
great catch Jerome, thank you!

"See-mow-sss sensor"? The O in CMOS is for Oxide. Do you pronounce it aww-xide or ooooh-xide? LOL....

I know you said you'll answer any questions. Are you still dating the same girl that you used in the example videos? 😂
Good video btw
the drone batteries take at least double your 45 minute claim
I got the EV sorted can't believe how stupid I am???????
