@@fishpicks4531 - re side pins. There are a couple of really good vids out there, using micro cameras and they give you a superb insight of the pins/pick interacting. The Artichoke vid is a very good one, amongst others. Enjoy!😊

Let me know if you want help with it ;) Also it's a bit confusing, but there are a few models of lock with similar names: -Schlage Everest (basic Pin tumbler with a check pin) - Schlage Everest 29 SL (Sidebar variant with "L" pins, and 1 check pin) - Schlage Primus (basic pin tumbler, with secondary sidebar and rotating finger pins) - Schlage Everest Primus (same as previous but enhanced key control) - Schlage Everest 29 SL Primus XP (double sidebar, 1 for the 7 "L" pins, and 1 for the 5 rotating finger pins) You may already be familiar with all that, and if so, sorry for the long comment 😖... As far as I know though, that's all the different versions, but it can get pretty confusing with the long/similar names haha. Ps. The MTL locks you have are also considered high security locks 😀
Isaac you also left out Everest 29 and 29 Primus. Newer keyway under patent. They have backwards key capabilities. Meaning new keys will fit into the now Everest Classic but not vise versa. Also when you get ready to tackle the Primus cylinder, remind Fish to swap the drivers for standard ones. I’m a moment of pure evil I put in Assa drivers in that when I keyed it up 😈

Those KIK with t-pins and the "spring" bible....I'd be curious how you get on with those. That's been my primary mode of running into-and learning to hate- t-pins!!

The Schlage Primus side pins need to be rotated and lifted into position, a very tough lock.

Keyed locks were created for inspection, basically weird lock out tag out lock
