I bought a second-hand FT16, and thanks to the video I understood how it works, much better than the instruction manual. Regards!
I assume this will work with the AD200 as well?
Michael, do you sell cable or what cable to buy to fit ATG Gold 76MZ-5r, Metz 76, 70 & 50MZ-5 flashes?
Can't get help from Godox, Adorama, B&H and Cheetalight.
Usa pilas o es recargable?
Question. The transmitter power dial. Besides a d c what are the numers for? Regards
Can this be used with Sony a7iii camera?
Does this work only on one strobes? Or in one trigger can trigger all the flashes installed at the time?
Superb Sir
learned a lot.
Thanks
great video
Just wanna know if its also be used to nikon dslr?
It can be used with any DSLR that has a center contact point on the hotshoe
@@MichaelMowbray48 thanks for your help
Wish you had something on the Good SK400ii
Does this have to be for Godox flashes only will it work with Opteka
George Smith I am not familiar with Opteka, but unless it is a Godox-made flash it will not work.
Thank you
Hello Michael. Thanks for your enthousiasme for this issue.
With me the GODOX AD360 ( same as yours ) does not react on the transmitter FT-16S. When I putt the XTR16 in the Flash it just light up as a sign it's turned on but that's all what it's doing. Please advise me. Yours Frederik Repko
Fred Repko The Ft16 operates on the 433mhz frequency and the XTR16 works on 2.4ghz. You need an FTR16 to work with the FT16 transmitter, or an XT16 transmitter to work with the XTr16 receiver .
hey im glad i found this video. i have the exact same transmitter and receiver. off the camera, everything works wireless, test, light setting, group, all those work ( i have a nikon d5500 ) . when i put the transmitter on the hot shoe , it wont fire! the ft-16 i have doesnt say for what specific camera, does that matter?
BODYSNATCHA It shouldn't matter as the FT16 is a simple single-pin transmitter. Check you hotshoe contact point on the camera. It may need to be cleaned. And be sure your camera is enabled for on camera flash. Some Nikons allow you to turn this off and on.
wow, i guess i can be soooo smart that i can be dumb!! all the time having trouble, i had the transmitter in the hotshoe...............THE WRONG WAY!! ... works fine now. thanks again for this video and the the metal tap on the brain....smh lol
Hello .
Ever tried to use FT 16 with canon Speedlite ? Trying to use the latter manually with a Godox Sk300 set of moonlight. Thanx
Leo Nerdo The receiver will not work with Canon speedlites.
Michael Mowbray thank you. I figured and trying to work my way with a 2-light studio strobe kit which is more than enough to starts with
Did not work with ATG Gold MF-400 or Jinbei MF-200.
Would be great if this FT16 & receiver work on above 400ws or 200ws speedlights.
angelisone They are specific to the Godox flashes and will not work with other brands.
Michael Mowbray, do you know the frequency after 2.4GHz on these..
1. ATG
2. Canon
3. Cononmark
4. Godox
5. Interfit
6. Profoto
7. Phottix
8. Shanny
9. Yongnuo

Can't find anything from Google.
angelisone No
Hi,
I'm a very beginner in flash photography and I'm a little confused with all this information.I read you can waste a lot of money working off camera flash if you don't choose the right trigger stuff. So I turn to you
I recently bought 2 V860ii-S and a AD600BM and I have two questions for you
A):light metering
How can I light meter these flashes one at a time handing my sekonic in one hand and a transmitter in the other without compatibility problems ? With the V860ii-S, guess I could use a FT16S transmitter and clip a FT16R receiver on these flashes. But how about the AD 600BM?Would it work?Don't think so:Could you please help me out.
B):Adjusting flashes settings
I wish I could pull that off by holding in my hand the same transmitter used when I meter the light.Which transmitter can I use without compatibility issues.
Thank you for your video

Yvan Cornil This particular transmitter and receiver is for the older Godox AD360 which did not have an internal radio receiver. You need the X1T or XPro transmitter to work with your V860II and AD600BM. No need for a receiver as the flashes have that built in.
Hi Michael,
Thanks a lot for your help.I 'am gonna choose the X-Pro- S
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your help.I 'm gonna choose the X Pro-s
MUITO ONRIGADO POR MAIS ESSE VIDEO , O SEU CANAL ME ENSINA MUITO !!!
de nada
Compatible with the Sony A6300?
+Ron Powell Hi Ron. The FT16 transmitter and all of the MoLight manual flashes (AD360 and V850) are compatible with any camera that has a hotshoe and a center firing point. I've even used these with my Fuji X100s.
Is FT16 capable of HSS?
+Loi Argente No, the FT16 transmitter will not communicate the timing necessary for HSS. Your options would be to: (a) swap in a Cells II (C or N) on the hotshoe, or (b) switch over to the X1 system and use an XTR16 for the V850 or XTR16s for the AD360 clipped into your flash. The X1 will send the needed HSS timing. HSS also needs to be manually turned on for the older manual flashes like the V850 and AD360.
Michael Mowbray it means I will need a new trigger
When I want High speed sync.
TTL control?
No. This transmitter and receiver are manual only. You would need to look at the X1T transmitter paired with the V860II speedlight or the AD360II flash in order to get TTL.
mines does not beep when I change stops
Will Ortiz Enable the beep on the flash
