Also also, I did knot magic when I crocheted hats to sell, and use them for veils. I would be willing to share my sayings for people interested in making their own protection hats
I started veiling because of the spiritual protection reasons, but if anyone asks me why I’ll tell them that it’s because I’m neurodivergent and it keeps the hair off the back of my neck. (Which is true. I can’t STAND the feeling. It’s awful and veiling keeps it away)
why not just shave all your hair off? I'm pretty sure vestal virgins would be tossed out if they didn't veil. I couldn't imagine choosing to elect into a spirituality that's woman based and choosing to cover my hair, It seems super contradictory
I mean, one of the reasons that some people (including myself) veil is for comfort. It feels comfortable to cover my head. At that point shaving your head would be the contradictory thing 😅
@@WatermelonPeppermint everyone finds different things comfortable! If I’m having a bad headache, tying a bandanna hits a pressure point that helps with headaches. I also find physical comfort in having fabric covering my ears and sometimes my neck. It can also be soothing to have the scarf to fiddle with.
