So happy to hear how this video closed. Christians treating government as the rings of power is a huge issue. It was God, not Sauron, who instituted governments to be HIS wrath against wrongdoing. It's not a trap. It's a responsibility. When officers of government refuse to punish what is wrong (or worse, actively punish what is right) that should be a serious issue for all believers, as the Lord requires of us to do justice (Micah 6:8).
(14:23) I am one of those people who hear that term and it sets off an alarm to me. Because it is heavily associated with "the end/goal justifies the means," which is a common practice of many today. I dont like using "their" terminology, because it is associated with justifying certain acts/deeds that ought not be.
I have never heard that term used that way. I think you, as well as those in the video, may be thinking of "The Greater Good", which is directly associated with that "Ends Justify the Means".
I know this isn't related to the topic discussed in the video but please can you do a video explaining the origins of vision boards and how it entered into the church?
Was driving to work last week and there was a stalled vehicle in the left exit lane so I pulled over to the right lane. An SUV with the message "Christian Nationalism Is The American Taliban" came speeding up the beside me only to wind up behind the stalled vehicle. My disapproval of his message was shown by not letting him over. .
Look up Christians our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth is coming soon in the rapture hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Repent and trust in Him. Amen 🙏
@@PureU0ArtificialYES! I never noticed that until I reread the Bible for myself. The rapture isn't what most Christians think. Certainly not like the Left Behind series portrays. The remnant will be rescued and brought to the Lord's mountain in Jerusalem, not whisked away to heaven.
I think there are 3 main levels of christian engagement in politics as distinct from old-line christian-demorats in Europe. 1) Staying out of it (which has been a common position). 2) The Cristian Coalition from the late 70s, when evangelicals joined this catholic cause againt abiortion rooted in the Didache's teachings, but this movement also has held questional positions regarding the christian status of the constitution, and the (unbiblical) teachings of the special place of America (like a new Israel). I think "dominion" theology took things a step further, explicitly commanding christiuan to seek positions of power in all aspedts of (i guess to bring it into the kingdom of Christ). 3) Christian nationalists go further than the "Evangelical Revolution" and Pat Robertson, in that it's much more explicit in excluding people of other faith from political participation as well as (equal) citicenship. Some of it is ajacent to far-right nationalists who do not care so much for the kingdom, but join in under an "evangelical" umbrella where its more a shorthand for a political identity than a statement of core of doctrines or christian attitudes. This had however been a dark underbelly of the Christian Coalition from the start, where anti-abortion was a more legitimate battle call than anger towards the "tyrranical state" who did not grant "tax exempt" status to private christian schools and collages that excluded black students, and worked to subvert the supreme courts judgment about school integration in "Brown vs. Board of Education". A lot of evangelical leaders at that time were really no at all concerned about abortion. I would agree that there is probably a lot of disagrements about "christian nationalism", and that voices of the "mainstream media" probably sometimes will cast the net too wide. At the same time, a lot of more mainstream evangelicals have probably become radicalized. We can not simply disolve the problem with "nobody knows" and "there are as many definitions as there are people". Your very well received podcast is exactly about how many believers do not really understand the implications of the heresies they tacitly engages in. How did so many evangelical christians come to argue for George W. Bush'es "pre-empltive" strike on Iraq, even from the pulpit. They left their own stated doctrine on "just war", and a lot of the patriotic fervor was intersperced with questionable the apeal of "secondary prophesy literature". The marriage of the GOP with the CC has made for a whole lot of talk about the coming "new world order" of a tyrranical WHO, UN and other "globalists" seem a much more acute threat than the superrich oil magnates (and the megapastors). At this point, pastors do not have as much influence as Joel Osteen (who's weak sauce new thought, you have exposed) or social media. "Christian conspiracies" like "the new world order" (which is it self anti-semittic adjacent), make get you in touch with Qanon and other crazy ideas, as well as fascist propaganda. Honestly I did not hear the whole interview, but when the world hates you, i think a lot of the "evangelicals" now would like a strong man to "strike back". I think its about time that "evangelicals" take a hard look at the consequences of their political involvements. "No one can serve two masters". If christian nationalism is not an easly definable subject, the tendencies within it should be a "spirit" the some christian descernment should be able to "try" (and expose. like you usually do).
At what point was this talking about Christian Nationalism? I didn't want to listen to the whole thing but that didn't seem like the subject matter at all...
@mandelbrotset4142 No man can serve two masters (Mat 6;24) and the Kingdom of God is not of this world (John 18;36). The anabaptists were persecuted (hunted, tortured & executed) by Roman Catholics and Protestants in Europe, because the anabaptists believed* in obeying Christ's Sermon on the Mount, while the religious establishment wanted to rule the nation. Who were the world and who the servants of Christ?

I wonder what those “biblical world view” test questions are.

Read Fox's Book of Martyrs & Martyrs Mirror and then talk again.
Your a servant of the Kingdom of God or a servant of your nation aka the world.
It's not always one or the other. Sometimes it can be, but not necessarily always.
