Easier way to points could be make 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 for the five tiers. If D beats S it’s 40 points plus 10, first to 150. If S beats D, Take the same 40 points and divide that in half and add 5, 25 points. That way if a high tier defeats a low tier they get a bit more. Otherwise luck could force you to win 15 (150) or 30 (300) games with the ten point reward. If the characters are in the same tier then the higher seed gets 10 for winning while the underdog gets 20 points,
3:18 For Corrin’s forward smash, the multi hits lock you in shield, but don’t give you an invincible roll after (n) hits. Honestly, your best bet is to let yourself get shield poked by tilting the shield away, then SDI like a madman above and then behind her, trying to at most get hit by sour spot… it’s a crazy move!
Yeah, these situations are definitely a spacing thing. Nothing more terrifying than being cornered by it against the ledge for sure, too!@@staticchimera44
I mean it doesn't matter if you character is a way higher tier than your opponent if you don't know how to play them. And cFive never even tried to learn most of the characters.
@@watchbozotv9153 exactly. You should say that someone who watches all kind Smash clips every week for years and does a lot of tests and games with all characters should have a slight idea how every character works. But for some reason this does not appy to cFive. VyQ on the other hand actually uses the experience he has made by making these videos for years to learn and understand the basics of every character on the roster.
Honestly, cfive got really unlucky with the opportunities. He was inundated with situations where he was higher than vyq. A character pick/counterpick.. or a randomizer for "top half/bottom half" that you switch off from would make it better
cFive literally got the better character like 80% of the time, and with how balanced the game ultimately is, this is definitely not a balanced way to play lol Edit: Would CFive even have made it to 500 if he won every single game there? I don't think he'd even have enough points then.
Props to C5! Peach, Min Min, and Snake are top tiers but not the kind that you can just pick up and play. Vyq killed it. Would be interesting to see this played in a smash down style, where you'd be incentivised to actually pick low tiers in certain situations. Maybe winner picks first so a lower teir counterpick is viable? Just an idea since I like the idea of making low teirs usable in a challenge, but maybe find a way to reduce the point differential. Maybe gain points based on teir?
i don't see how this is balanced considering most of the low tier characters like Little Mac are super OP if your opponent is bad at the game, most top tieers are great because of their hard gameplan and combo routes, I play Random AAAAAALL THE TIME and all of my toptiers just suck, meanwhile I main super heavies and other low tier junk.
This is the most unfair format ever! Randoms is already unfair. With this point system if you don't get low tiers you are screwed, especially if you don't know how to play the high tiers.
I feel that you should get something like 40 + the difference in tier position in points for winning as the lower tiered character, rather than just 10 + the difference. People like to complain about busted top tiers, but overall the game is still pretty balanced. Steve isn't literally 10 times better than Ganon, so you shouldn't be getting almost 10 times the points for winning with Ganon against him, compared to what Steve would get for beating Ganon this current system.
This gamemode makes very little sense. Firstly, it completely ignores specific matchups. But even worse, it implies that Ganondorf is 82 times worse than Steve, which is incorrect by at least an order of magnitude. I think the numbers should start from around 100 instead of 0. Otherwise the player with the "worse" character is heavily favored in each game. I said this all ignoring the fact that at lower levels of play, character tiers are a myth.
For the future, you could do 10 points minimum for winning, but if adding 10 points puts you above 50 then you dont get the 10 bonus points. Just thinking of how the game could swing in points less
I think this should just be first to 500 with 10+Character's value. The subtraction thing makes winning with higher tier characters even mid tier v midtier, practically pointless.
Badly executed idea, tier lists dont mean anything unless you are a top player, winning with ganondorf without knowing how to play him is infinitely more easy than winning with luigi without knowing how to play him
people saying c5 is not on the same skill level as if he didnt exclusively get shit luck from random getting low tiers agaisnt top tier is waayyy worse for the dude who gets the top tier
"How to make playing Random BALANCED" *creates most unbalanced point system imaginable* Still a fun video, but lmao even the Golden Snitch is like "woah, slow down with these huge point gains."
No one's talking about c5's terrible rng in this video 😭 Even if he won the opening matches, he would only get 10 points for each. Vyq got the lower tier character for every match of the first set
Idk if vyq is just the better player or if he simply knows his opponent too well In any case, you should make less competitive content because it's less entertaining if it ends up being this unbalanced
cFive: I don’t main top tiers.
Also cFive: *mains Fox and Pikachu*
I'm sure he can make them look like low tiers.
I was literally about to comment this exactly, and look who already beat me to it.

you can also shield SDI . th-cam.com/users/shortsaq7qoiG764w?si=bUC1Ew4BidYTQxyL
MockRock gave this one an honorable mention for best forward smash in the game for a reason!
I'm pretty sure you can shield tilt forward and it'll help get you out of the range of the multihits

I wonder how cFive is gonna lose in this video
saltily, without question

It’s not even about balance tho ganon is the hard hitter and with one stock it’s easy to get hit 5 times by him and perish

Im also a random main. Its just the best coming out with nearly anyone and knowing what your doing.
Ah the casual cFive showcase of his severe lack of fundies (insert the Snake, Samus, and Kirby matches here)
Perfect for Smashdown mode
C5 gotta get in the hyperbaric time chamber

Very smart by vyQ to only throw the games for content when he has a worse character on the tier than cFive so cFive only gets 10 points at a time
cFive's joker looked so clean 🔥
I feel you cFive. I also only main non top tiers
he said he mains Fox
and Pika :DD
Great format

Like, SkyJay beat Leo last year with a character 3 tiers below? Wtf

i think this would work alot better with 3 stocks
Do this but instead of a normal tierlist use one that ranks characters from easiest to play/learn to hardest to play/learn
vyq just got insane rng ngl
