I been reading up and watching more of creators like BRADY BASSETTE his lighting techniques are really good and he doesn’t push cameras at all
@@KipJackson Thats true, Brady is a vicious creator. I've picked up a few new techniques from him. These cams today are cool but when are they bringing out a better upgrade to Dynamic Range. Cams advertise 16 stops but in reality it is between 12.5 - 13.9 usable stops
Smart, if it’s not financially in the cards, don’t bother jumping up, saying that as a guy in both fields but truly pick tools that make sense for you 🙏🏾
Facts like I said Komodo x in a few months to a year !! Low key want to do big projects maybe 3-4 times a year rather than 150 small ones
Depends on your clients. Many event, corporate, and freelance clients are Sony all the way. RED is narrative or higher end commercial work. You might be better off with both FX6 and KX.
I actually can’t agree more with this statement and will be trying to earn as much money as possible with Videography to be able to make decisions like this

@@KipJackson Something I've been thinking about is seeing our cameras as money making assets and not just tools to express our creativity (which they are of course) but thinking of the return on investment in terms of renting them out, or being a DP for hire with this specific camera package. If you can go into debt to buy a camera like paying just $1000 to own a RED V-Raptor or Sony Burano and renting it out and getting DP gigs to make the monthly payments you could essentially "afford" that camera for $1000 total down while it's paying itself off and you're getting bigger clients and then it's yours. So instead of saying man.. that Burano is 25 Gs, I can never afford that! You can say how can I leverage the dept to get the rental and bigger gigs to pay it off fast with less interest?

I love my fx6 but my true work horse is A7Siii with K3M XLR module for offshore fishing tv shows
Wow what mic do you plug into your fx6? Been in the market because my recent shoot with it my audio was so ass
@@KipJackson the Rode Mics version 2. Hardly ever run a shotgun mic on the fx6 but instead on the A7Siii
@@KipJackson IMHO I prefer the A7Siii because the Noise Reduction is much stronger and allows you to push it pass 12,800. Can’t play that game in the FX6 without getting noisy even with noise reduction on full blast
Hey mate, I just got my own Fx 6 on Monday and loving it so far. I got the seinheisser mke600 for it and I also use the DJI mic as a lavelier option
