One of the many things that i love about The Who . I love that they are a rock band with a big R&B influence. Most rock bands back then weren’t. They are so good. Love The Who! ✌️❤️🌹🌸🌺
First saw them when "Can't Explain" came out and their whole set was cover's.... THEY WERE EXPLOSIVE and we got to see their Guitar - Speaker & Drum breaking for the first time. WOW.... Saw them 5 more time's during the next 18 month's / 2 single's releases. All in a 200 person venue.... THOSE WERE THE DAY'S.
Martha and The Vandellas, The Who, Linda Ronstadt, The Jam, i love every version of this song and all for their own unique take on it, just a song that lifts your spirits moves your feet and gives you that kick in the pants and the resolve to know you're gonna be alright baby, hang on!
I remember him saying "ladies and gentlemen, the despicable, Who". Got a big laugh in the theatre. Would have been late 70's. Was that from The Kids Are Alright?
Yo The Who deserve credit for most GIRL Screamed band of 1965 2nd under the beatles and the stones yo but hands down best keith and roger and John And Pete Ever
Wrong, the who were a guys band. John Entwhistle used to joke about how only fellas came out to see the band, and they told themselves the girls were in the back
Love this more than the original. Obviously this was overdubbed. But this was a concert on a tv show so you could only imagine what it actually sounded like 🤔
The Who are the greatest Band in the World!!!
That's debatable
No! Undebatable, but they are excellent
ever heard of the Beatles?
@@nateuhrich1527 Yes!!! I like the Beatles very much! But the WHO also are one of the excellent Bands in the World!! :-))
Except for THE PRETTY THINGS..YES.

Who loved R&B music like their fellow Mod band Small Faces
This is the 1st time I've seen Keith actually stay calm, in the pocket.

I even love their covers!! Even if it is lipsynced I’m glad I stumbled across this Beat Club footage
Oh yeah, oh yeah! Can't beat The Who. Terrific bass line from Entwistle
Mods were big into Motown and soul!
The Who's first album includes two great James Brown covers.

There's a live version of "Heat Wave" at the Marquee Club in 65 that was broadcast (part of) on a French TV documentary. You can find it on YT.

He bought that guitar, new the week before, its now a preciuos 67' worth 15 grand..

I’ll never understand Moon’s drum miming.
He hated lip singing
He tries to look as foolish as possible. He's always stabbing the cymbals with the sticks on playback lol

Yes they are. When they were lip syncing Moon would just goof around.
Lucie Melahn i guess they had wireless guitars in 67
@@yungforeverboy. They were ahead of their time, both in music and instruments

one of the greatest songs by Martha and the Vandellas done by one of the greatest rock bands, and it's horrible, what a mistake by the Who!
Sorry, that cover can't compete with Martha and tha Vandellas at all
