CHEVY TRAILBLAZER CRANK NO START........Fuel pump troubleshooting

  • We got this 04 Trailblazer in today with a crank no start condition. Diag showed no fuel pump functionality so we dug further into the wiring. Enjoy! Don't forget to like comment and subscribe. Do me a favor and ring that bell as well to get notifications of when i post new vids!

    Nice work. GM always gives me wiring troubles. I now its after market but still. Have a nice Holiday morph.

    How did you get those connectors off the pump without dropping the fuel tank?

    another FYI there's a port on the filter (not the rail ) to check pressure before u do anything else. And I agree it seems that when you have a fuel pump problem the owner will go and fill up the tank. lol

    Thanks learned a lot! I have a 04 4.2 4x4 trailblazer with a condition of blowing the pcm1 fuse in the fusebox's when u turn ignitiuon to start ingine. What do u think?

    I would ask you if I don’t have 12v at fuel pump relay when I turn key on. Another the side at pump relay I allway have 12v .so my ignition switch go bad this for 2003 envoy …. Thanks

    Just fix the wire in the connector. And butt connectors and shrink wrap is fine especially when most people can’t solder. All other coils go bad around 150ish usually should have recommending replacing all of them

    FYI you can remove the BCM from that vehicle and crank it up and drive down the road. ; )

    My fuel pump makes a whirring sound,but the engine doesnt turn on.do you have an idea?

    Will this also control the gauge? Because the gauge stopped once before then started working again and started working again and it ran tool again the gauge stopped and once again we had a crank no start problem

    Great video. You're good! Question: I have a 2004 GMC Envoy 6 Cylinders and, for about 5 years now (yes, five Years) it cranks a few times (2, 3, sometimes 4 times) before the engine starts. I took it to two shops and they couldn't find the problem and told me I had to wait until it doesn't start at all. Do you think it can be the fuel pump or maybe the starter? Thank you!!!

      I would lean toward fuel pump or a leaking injector bleeding fuel pressure down. It would need to be pressure tested to find out for sure.

    Hey I did a swap in my 07 tbss , put in L96 6.0 /4l80e Trans, im using ls2 harness and ecm, won't start unless I spray starting fluid in throttlebody , can you help, thanks

      No injector pulse. Possibly the immobilization activating. You may need to use hp tuners to deactivate the immobilizer in the ecu. Or it could be no power at the injectors. Or could be no fuel pressure. There’s a ton of possibilities.

    I have a 08 trailblazer mines the fuel pump for sure but idk if its the injectors or the pump, i put a full tank in it and after that the regular throttle i give the blazer didnt have the regular response sonner i was trying to give it more gas and my speedometer went down and my truck turned off? What do you think?

    02 trailblazer 4200. New fuel pump. New filter. No codes. Wont even fire with ether or starter fluid, possibly timing from my guess??

    Great video! I'm gonna try a connector... Seeing how I just did the fuel pump. Quick question tho. Should the fuel pump relay have power to only one prong???
    Oh I hope the New connector works. Figures the new pump came with one but I didn't change it.

      It was the fuse block in the end. And now the a.c actuator is clicking under the dashboard for around 90 seconds.

    Like they say measure 2 times then measure again then and only then CUT. Stuff like this also comes with EXPERIENCE, & a TON of mistakes . "O BY THE
