Hi Glenn, Great video. Is your dust helmet a JSP Powercap Respirator that is powered with a rechargeable battery? In the States it is sold by Peke Safety in Florida. I was wondering how well you like it and would you recommend it or something else? I've been thinking of getting something better than the white dust masks with the rubber band straps. I would like to have my next purchase be a good one and not be sorry I skimped. Your thoughts and reply would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Myles

Grazie.

Hello Roberto from us. A warm greeting to you from the UK. Glad you enjoyed the video. I did a separate video on how I made my wooden chucks. th-cam.com/video/FmrNyeG_14s/w-d-xo.html Unfortunately, to turn a bowl and explaining the cuts/angles etc will take time for each video. What do you cut out in this? Our videos are for teaching. They are mainly based on questions we have been asked. We have said from the start that we do not cut or edit videos. It's like doing a live video. If it goes wrong you'll see it but you'll also see how I fix it. Quick little projects will only take up to half an hour. Other videos do not show the real finish they get before sanding. It's cut and they bring you back and you can see it's been sanded already.

When you say ride or get the 'bevel'. Do you mean the bevel on the carbide blade or the bevel on the shaft?

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308

@@konservator3898 I say turn as fast as you can, that you feel comfortable doing, that you feel safe doing and what the piece allows. Carbides work better with speed. However your mounting process and safety are your responsibility. I turn mostly at 2500 rpm.
