That is a fabulous poncho!! Definitely putting this on my list of winter projects!! Thanks so much! Your tutorials are well explained and easy to follow!❤
I have had this bavarian stitch in mind for poncho since months now. Did not find a pattern so was planning to tey and work it out... and today morning what i find here is simply my dream project ready for me.. thanks for the lovely tutorial..❤
A Bavarian stitch poncho would be amazing too though! I’ll have to check that out. Thank you for watching and commenting ❤️ I’m happy to hear you like this one❤️
This is soooo pretty! I do not like ponchos because they go around my neck and do not like anything around my neck but this one does not look like it goes to far up around the neck. Thanks for the tutorial!! 💕💕
Absolutely! I understand that! You could also go up a hook size or make this with a bulky (5) and your neckline would be even larger for more comfort. Thank you for watching and commenting. ❤️
Quick question- Would I have to change the beginning stitch length if I was to use a DK yarn? If so, how much longer to keep the pattern accurate? This poncho is just lovely and the hood is a bonus❤. Thank you for this brilliant design.
I actually wouldn’t, this yarn is categorized as a DK on Ravelry (I was surprised!) ??? Idk if they made a mistake? This yarn is thinner than a lot of other worsted yarns I’ve used. But if you can comfortably fit the chain over your head and it rests in a nice placement on your shoulders just give it a try! Thank you for watching and commenting! I hope you love making this poncho❤️
Thank you! The larger size as well as the otter 3 sizes are available in the written pattern on Etsy or Ravelry. Hi. So the weight of the faux fur yarn doesn’t matter? I can only find what is described as chunky (I live in the UK). Lovely poncho, so I purchased your pattern. I will be my weekend project 🌻
Hi! No I would use anything I could find. This one is a (6) I believe, but if the hair is nice and long is should give a beautiful edge. You could even use two strands at a time if you find smaller stuff. Thank you for your order! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
The written pattern goes up to XL. And if you would like an even larger size I would love to chat so send me a message. Here’s the Etsy link, but you can also find this pattern on Ravelry! www.etsy.com/listing/1581041069/

How many stitches would one need to make the poncho for a larger person? Or does that not change.. ch 96 and just continue with the repeating rows until the desired size?
I found a larger neckline is more comfortable for larger people. But you can easily make the 96 more comfortable by going up a hook size or using a bulky yarn and larger hook. I have other sizes on my written pattern available on Etsy and Ravelry. jonnamartinezcrochet.etsy.com/listing/1581041069

Hello I’m following your pattern but on the 2 row it curls up what am I doing wrong?
If you have the right amount of shells and stitches then you might crochet tightly. Just keep going it will work itself out. Rnd 2 is very early.
@@JonnaMartinezCrochet thank you very much for replying I love your videos . I went back to your video and followed it again I got it now !❤️
