Nice video. I always love walking around that area of town when I can. They have been offering incentives to business owners to move into that part of town to revive it, or at least they were at one point.
Walmart is one of the main reasons their aren't more businesses in Emporia. Also lack of support of places cause them to have bad luck. Especially independent restaurants
I've often wondered why our local restaurants don't have support. They start out strong but it seems people lose interest. When I became of age to start going out Destry's was the place to be but after a year or so people just stopped going.
I'm grew up in that area. Been gone now for about 13 years I can't really say I miss it
