Long time ago I went to a Loggins and Messina concert. It started with a spotlight on Jim sitting on a stool playing beautiful acoustic. We were enthralled. After a few minutes it went dark, then lights, then Kenny leapt onto the stage. As he landed he hit the first notes on his electric guitar and for two hours we were transported. I have such a love for Loggins & Messina songs (faves Back to Georgia, Peace of Mind) and Kenny’s solo albums (Celebrate Me Home, High Adventure) Can’t even express the joy, passion, and memories that well up.
I went to a concert in the early 70's at the Oakland Colliseum, Calif.--- Leon Russell- Billy.Preston- Loggins & Messina-- & more!!! We were pretty close to the front of the stage, my older brother put me on his shoulers & I got some really good pictures-- Leon Russell looked right at me🤗, i got good pics of Loggins & Messina & Billy Preston too!! I still have the pictures - Somewhere👍😊 I took them with big ole Polaroid instant camera my sister & I got them for x-ma's from our dad--- She still HAS hers!!--- 50 some yrs LATER😅😲-- Thanks for the memory👍
LOOOVE this!! Kenny has never lost his voice, just like Jackson Browne, if either walked up to me on the street I wouldn't know either one of them until they started singing & it's all still right there!!
It amazes me how many truly great songs Kenny Loggins has written...all of which tell touching stories or inspire certain aspects of life. Not one single hit he ever wrote could be considered shallow or opportunistic...all tell a story in either a touching or fun way...and he managed to do that for DECADES...WOW !!
Kenny was kind enough to write me many years ago after I read his book and wrote him for advice. It's lovely to see him going strong, still rockin', and still as kind and wise as ever.
Ditto in the car and in the house. I was thrilled beyond when he sang "Heart to Heart" at this show in Cincinnati! I didn't think he would sing it, and when he told how Michael McDonald and he wrote the song plus David Foster, I was still waiting for confirmation. When he said this is called "Heart to Heart", I let out the biggest "woo" ever! Love him forever for that AND for staying to greet fans and sign autographs afterwards. I want to see him live again!
What a fking legend!!! So many songs!!! And!!!!! He gave us the song that made that groundhog dance on the golf course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what I'm talking about
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.
Last year I picked up the Grand Canyon dvd. I’d had that performance on vhs and wanted to update things so I could watch it without hooking up a vcr. What a great concert and watching him do those amazing vocal trade offs with saxophone (Marc Russo I think) on Celebrate Me Home …you realize Kenny Loggins is one of the great vocalists of any era. The other two great KL videos (for me) are Live At/In the Redwoods (1992ish, an Unplugged kind of thing but a very good one) and the one he did for Soundstage in 2017. The opening section of tunes featuring Kenny with David Foster -> Mike McDonald on that Soundstage video is just too good. Age seems to be irrelevant.
@@GuiitarBilly Those videos are all great. You should also check out his first concert video - “Alive” from 1980, the “Legends and Lyrics” DvD from 2009 and an audio only performance from his 1985 tour which can be found on Wolfgangs Music.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.
I love Kenny Loggins and Loggins and Messina. I saw Loggins and Messina back in the day soon before they split at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Art Center). What a show. Kenny came and sat on the edge of the stage with an acoustic guitar. It was magical. I’ve seen Kenny many times solo and each and every performance is perfect. I actually got to shake his hand after a concert in Tarrytown NY. My kids were joking with me that I’ll never wash my hands again lol. Kenny is a special person and a tremendous performer/singer.
We saw him in AZ many years ago and it is still one of the best concerts I've been to. Everyone was up and dancing and singing. I live in Europe now, but I would happily come back to the states to see hi m
Right? You haven't lived until you dance to "Footloose" while Kenny Loggins plays it live! I even accused myself from my row to go to the side to really dance!
I love L&M still, but my favourite album of theirs - and so unbelievably under-rated, is 'MotherLode.' An absolutely incredible album, track for track.
I love his music! Went to see him live when he came to Chicago in 2016 to do a Sound Stage Concert. It was awesome because they filmed it live with the audience there - “doing re-takes” and “do-overs” until Kenny was satisfied. It was beautiful to see. When it aired, I could see myself in the audience and the concert came out just perfectly. I’ve been a fan for decades and have all of his music. I made a playlist with three of his original songs from the December album repeating over and over again. The three-song playlist runs about three hours long, as a result. It is so soothing, relaxing and calming, that I use it to fall asleep to each night; and have been doing so for years. All of his music is simply heartfelt and beautiful. Love you Kenny! ❤
I love his music , he is my generation and I was young when he was too. Kenny you are a treasure your songs and voice are golden! Much heartfelt love to you, from a big time fan me. 💕✌️
When I was a young girl in Buffalo, I liked the country rock music. When I heard the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the voice of Kenny's it took me. I knew you would be a star! You are a Blessing!
Great interview. I only wish it was longer cuz I’ve been a big fan of his for the last 40 years. Despite that, Kenny’s one of the few music legends that I have yet to see in person. But I’m planning to remedy that when he comes to Michigan this fall. I know I won’t be disappointed.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.

Sure, miss my hometown Santa Barbara after viewing this. Saw both the brake up and get back together shows at the SB Bowel with Kenny and Messina. Love what Kenny has done for the food bank in town. Live in Colorado now these days, going to have to take a trip home now.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.
Love every song Kenny, made life more beautiful, your songs. We saw you in concert in 1988. You're a man of love, thank you for helping us love deeper!!
Kenny is a fantastic artist,.......its sad that todays youth thinks the garbage at the 2022 halftime show, etc is music,......thank goodness we have real music from the past.
I had forgotten about his Winnie the Pooh song. More meaning to menon as my daughter always has Coonie with her, a stuffed racoon my grandfather gave me when I was around 2 and loved as a child. Kenny Loggins has and always will be a favorite of mine!
What an awesome talent, and he has shared it with us (You know how good, when you can sing along because you know the words). Thank you Kenny Logins♥️🙏
They featured his pop hits, but if you want to hear classic Loggins and Messina check out "Full Sail". The musicianship and production is unbelievable!
Kenny is so much more than Soundtracks. I'm here to say the album "Leap of Faith" is his quintessential life's work and truly defines his musical career as one of the greatest
When I heard "Pooh Corner" on this, I about broke down. I used to run an internet station and had a friend named Allyson who would tune in with her disabled brother Matthew. When it was his bedtime, she'd have me play that as my final song of the broadcast for him. She passed away January 10, 2017 and I've never been able to locate him. I always think of where he is, how he is and just hope he's okay wherever he is. She told me that if it was possible, I should of been his dad instead of the abusive man who beat both of them. Such a brutal song for me emotionally, but I'll never forget what it means to me.
Man. Thats nice you played at the House of Blues and my friend Jacob Minter got to meet ya. If you Ever need a drummer or a rhythm guitar player, call my friend Jacob and ill talk to ya anytime,. Kenny.
Kenny is the ultimate "pablum" of Rock and Roll. Vanilla to the core. Not my cup of tea when it comes to music. I do however respect and Salute you Sir! You lived the your dream. God Bless.
I must admit that I prefer the early Loggins and Messina days to the later pop sound. Vahevala and Angry Eyes are fabulous songs. Glad to see him in good health! ☮️
Whenever I call you friend by him and Stevie Nicks I tear up all the time grow up not knowing that I was gay and just needed a friend that song wasn’t a question
Now that the doors of the rock n roll hall of fame has swung open for pop music I really hope that Kenny loggins finally get his just due soon he has had hits in many category’s in music too many hits to count really from smooth jazz to R&B to pop and folk how can an artist this diverse be ignored
To all of you who've made snide comments about him from looks to music to anything else, when YOU'VE written and sold Grammy-winning, Oscar-nominated songs, known as King of the Movie Soundtracks, Captain of a music genre AND still touring in your 70's remaining in good voice AND about to release your memoir, get back to me!

I loved seeing Kenny and Jimmy in concert, too. They were brilliant together.
I absolutely adore his music...whenever I hear it my heart soars. Bless him.

Sounds like a fantastic concert! 💟☮️
LOOOVE this!! Kenny has never lost his voice, just like Jackson Browne, if either walked up to me on the street I wouldn't know either one of them until they started singing & it's all still right there!!
I saw Kenny Loggins open for Fleetwood Mac on the Rumors tour in 1977. Now that will take you back!
Really nice guy, too.As a fan who just happened to meet him, he acted like he was the one meeting a celebrity.
Absolute legend. Amazing to still have that voice at 74.
Kenny was kind enough to write me many years ago after I read his book and wrote him for advice. It's lovely to see him going strong, still rockin', and still as kind and wise as ever.
Brilliant! He's still one artist I play in the rotation at home pretty frequently. 🥰
Ditto in the car and in the house. I was thrilled beyond when he sang "Heart to Heart" at this show in Cincinnati! What an ICON! and just so humble 👍 great
What a fking legend!!! So many songs!!! And!!!!! He gave us the song that made that groundhog dance on the golf course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what I'm talking about
A musical genius. Love him!
How can you not like the guy?

The DVD “Live from the Grand Canyon” features Kenny at his best. So many great songs, including “Celebrate Me Home.” His music is wonderful…
One of the best!
You are so right.

Kenny's son was on my son's baseball team. I still say to this day, he was the nicest man...always. A good soul
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere

My husband and I saw him at Pala casino and he was Amazing! I cried at the end. One of the best concerts I’ve been to.

Saw him at the Smith Field House at BYU in the late 70s...so amazing! He's still my fav!
We saw him in AZ many years ago and it is still one of the best concerts I've been to. Everyone was up and dancing and singing. I live in Europe now, but I would happily come back to the states to see hi m

The Loggins and Messina Album they showed was one of the best and underrated albums of the 70s.
I love L&M still, but my favourite album of theirs - and so unbelievably under-rated, is 'MotherLode.' An absolutely incredible album, track for track.
My cousin Larry's bass riffs and beautiful harmonies contributed so much to Loggins' success. He died too soon.
Love Kenny ❣️
Good Bless You Kenny Loggins. Thank You For The Years And Years Of Great Music You Have Given Us.
I love his music! Went to see him live when he came to Chicago in 2016 to do a Sound Stage Concert. “This Is It”- I’m in the “Danger Zone” with Kenny, because it’s time for me to get “Footloose” and put on my Sunday shoes!
Won't play Danger Zone in concert is a rip off

I am glad our retired community has people to sing to them, I like the new and the rebel and I am retired too.
74 and still sounds great
WHEN EVER I CALL YOU FRIEND I USED TO HEAR THAT ALL TIME AT THE
A & P SUPERMARKET ON SATURDAYS HERE IN CT
He's still got it. Saw him recently and he was awesome!
He’s brilliant! So much fun & good old mellow stuff over the years.
My first concert was Loggins & Messina. HUGE INFLUENCE on my life!
LEGEND!! SO many priceless songs and memories for us all, a human super hero 💯🙌🏻💥⚡️🎶🎉❤️💪🏻🎶👏🏻
Best music ever! Been rockin' since 73'!
I love Kenny Loggins for how kind and talented he is. His music will never die. Most musicians pale in comparison to Kenny. Hoping to see him someday!
Thanks, Kenny. Love singing along with you and Stevie Nicks on “Whenever I Call You Friend”.
I had forgotten about his Winnie the Pooh song. More meaning to menon as my daughter always has Coonie with her, a stuffed racoon my grandfather gave me when I was around 2 and loved as a child. Kenny Loggins has and always will be a favorite of mine!
Celebrate me Home album is a special memory for me which involves a lost love 😎👍

Always loved his music...esp a ballad Forever in My Heart....

What an awesome career he has had!
All who has heard him live in concert!! 👏👏❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶
The Captain of Yacht-Rock. ⛵
I love this man. I appreciate him more now then when we both were young 😆. His cd The Unimaginable Life got me through a divorce.
He and his partner Jim Messina did a long cut called "Angry Eyes" way back in the day..Got quite a bit of play in our stereo component room at work..
The only concerts where ''depends'' is sold in the foyer....🤩
Oh my Kenny for dyre6
Joe Montana played "This Is It" in the locker room before Super Bowl XVI to get the team hyped up for the game.

Watching the river run.
"Whenever I Call You Friend" is an amazing song! Is there a live performance of this song with Kenny and Stevie Nicks?
👏🏽👏🏽
Damn right Top Gun wouldn't be the same without Highway To The Danger Zone and Playing With The Boys! Those songs made that movie what it was.
Kenny’s great but I still love Loggins & Messina music the best.
Back To Pooh Corner.
If that song doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you have no soul!🧐🧐🧐🧐
My favorite artist I wish he'd let go off the beer gut though with love 🧡
