Thanks for sharing! I have been looking to create such pieces of work but couldn’t find anything helpful online until I stumbled upon your page! Amazing works 👏🏻🤩
The finished product is beautiful. I found that there were several moments where I thought that’s a gorgeous finished product… but wait there was more… great job and instructions!!!
@@neetuv259 thank you! Yes i have. I was an interior designer and painter. I created murals, worked with Venetian plaster, faux finishes, plasters and trompe l’oeil paintings on walls. A lot of fun. 😊
Aloha. Great question! I opted out of using alcohol for this project because i was using a delaminating ink. By adding more alcohol the ink will detach in some areas and will create the look of more texture. I wanted a subtle effect for this piece because I wanted the attention to be focused on the plaster. I hope this makes sense. - Greetings from Florida
Mahalo I just bought some delaminating inks So if I add alcohol to them I will get texture in the inks Another question I have had for a while - why would I mix alcohol with a binder ?? Does not seem to work for me I sooo appreciate your responses hard to learn all nuances from utube Peace
@@sheareengedaloo2872 The more alcohol you use with delaminating inks the more separation of colors you will get. The “blending solution” contains alcohol with other ingredients like glycerin to help slow down the drying process whirl you manipulate the inks. You can make your own blending solution at home. TH-cam has plenty of videos on how to create a blending solution got inks.
Yes, you can apply the plaster first. I felt applying the plaster afterwards resulted in a smoother finish, more polished. Sometimes when you add the plaster first and then apply the resin, the resin will tend to climb up the plaster causing a slight unleveling. Regardless, it will turn out just fine if you applied the plaster first.
I don’t think calligraphy ink and alcohol ink share the same properties. Alcohol ink has more fluidity than calligraphy ink. I also believe calligraphy is highly pigmented. I would try doing research on that. For now, I’ll say avoid using the calligraphy ink
Beautiful 🤩

Does the concrete just stick to the resin or did you add any kind of adhesive?
The plaster will stick to the resin. I did not add an adhesive
If you don't mind me asking what is it that you attach the paper to? Is it a wooden piece you built?
@@jamesstill3600 it’s a wood cradled panel that i purchased. You can find these at any craft store or online

Can I use India ink or calligraphy ink
