Gorgeous works of art. Thanks for sharing
This is the best vidéo ever talking and explaining alcohol ink thank you so much 💓
Awww thank you so much! I’m glad you found it helpful! ❤
Could this be done on diff paper? Example: copy paper, cardstock, vellum and mixed media paper or even watercolor paper?
Alcohol ink performs best on non-porous surfaces. Any surface that absorbs the ink will prevent it from flowing.
Wow, these are all beautiful! I know you said anyone can do it (with practice), and I agree that the techniques can be learned. But I think your artisan eye is what really brings these to life! The colors you chose and knowing when to stop or to go is what distinguishes you as an artist rather than a crafter. I enjoyed this video very much!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback. ❤
Do you need to seal the tile? My mom would love a set of this art as a gift of coasters. I know that's a clique use for this art, but my mom loves art in all its forms. Art everywhere is her love and I am always looking for ways to give her art that can be part of her daily life. She's funny though. I once bought her a beautiful and vibrant small area rug I found at the tulip festival here in WA state. It designed with natural fibers to be washed and the colors to stay true. She hung it on her bedroom wall! It was a beautiful scene of a row of tulips, and it was pretty big on the wall. Yet it looked awesome.
Absolutely the best video for those who want to start to create something with alcohol inks. Thank you VERY MUCH! 😍🤩🥰
Stunning work! I just got alcohol inks for my nieces to try but IAM falling for this type of art!! May I ask what was the squeeze bottle you used? Thanks in advance.
Your creations are beautiful. I've never used alcohol inks before and I just recently bought a few colors to try my hand at this technique. After watching your video I'm inspired. Thank you for sharing. 💜
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Great tutorial. As a matter of interest, have you ever tried blowing the petals with one of those tiny blowers like they use to clean laptop keyboards? Wondering if that will work too 🤷♂️
Please make more videos on alcohol ink flowers
Thank you Josette! I have online classes with full, in-depth tutorials if you’re interested. Kimberly-s-school-e7ff.Thinkific.com
Beautiful! Thank you for showing those tools. What do you put on the tike after you paint it for a sealant?
What do you spray over the finished pieces to protect it from rubbing off?
This is very helpful. Thank you. How do you use the tiles? Do they need to be sealed with something?
Thank you for your time Kimberly, I really admire your work💗 Can I please ask abt the last tool you used? What kind of heat gun was it? I'm talking abt the last, white one with the blue nozzle😊Thank you😍
It’s an embossing tool. amzn.to/3TqRH0g

I’m glad you enjoyed it! ❤
I can hear you but I just have a black screen 🤦♀️
Your artwork is beautiful!!. Do you find that the alcohol inks fade over time?
Thank you Reinette! The inks can have a propensity to fade, however you can take steps to prevent it but sealing your artwork with UV protection. I use Krylon UV Archival spray, at least three coats.
I own the miniature leaf blower fits in the palm of my hand it’s sweet I also have airbrush Wireless with the battery pack another way. Thank you many ways and tools you have shown me. 😊
Yes, those absolutely work too! Thank you!
Your Flowers are Stunning••Incredible •• Amazing •• Thank You!! Best Tutorial Ever!! 💜💖💜
Wow, that’s a wonderful compliment! Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you so much, this is great information. A very well done tutorial.
Thank you Chrissi!
Will someone please answer my question?
I have question about safety. Thanks in advance for any help your can offer.
I understand alcohol ink fumes are toxic. Is the blending solution also toxic or is it safer than isopropyl alcohol? Is it safe to do this art in my apartment? Will the fumes affect other rooms or just the immediate area? I cannot open windows due to the excessive heat and I have no where else to do art. Do I have to give up alcohol ink?
Check out this video which might answer some of your questions. th-cam.com/video/O10tbdgWTrQ/w-d-xo.html
Wonderful tutorial - thank you!
Thank you so much!
Excellent..so informative! I appreciate you sharing your talents❤️❤️
Thank you Mary!
Thank you for your lovely tutorial, it's been very informative. I really enjoyed watching it Kimberley. You have a wonderful talent with the inks and techniques 🤗
Thank you Audrey!
What would happen if you put the alcohol in the well of the airbrush?
Not sure. LOL. I would never try that way because you are vaporizing the alcohol ink, which makes the fumes and organic vapors worse.
Wow have you ever opened my eyes in seeing the different tools to makes your gorgeous flowers! Love love each one, but I'm sorta leaning towards the air brush machine. Hugs
Thank you! I’d love to see what you create!
What a WONDERFUL tutorial!!! Ive learned more in this one video than I have in the last 10 that I've watched....
That’s a wonderful compliment! Thank you so much!
Beautiful, what’s the difference in blending alcohol and just 99% alcohol?
You can use either, however alcohol tends to pull some of the color away whereas blending solution keeps the colors more vibrant. Also blending solution has resin in it which helps adhere the inks to the surface. If you’re using “Pearls” or “Alloys”, blending solution is necessary to avoid smudging or flaking off afterwards.
Hi! How much wattage is considered low wattage for hair blower for alcohol inking?
Traduzione in italiano grazie
Thank you for this great peace of information! Love your art!
Thank you Marcelle!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and creativity. Your work is stunning.
Thank you so much!
Do you need to seal the title after done, to protect it? If so, what do you use?
Yes. Seal with Kamar Varnish or Krylon UV Archival. These two products are specifically needed to "fix" the ink.
If I wanted to make a sunflower look, would I start out with a yellow middle and add brown in the middle after the petal dries?
We have a sunflower tutorial here on the Alcohol Ink Art Community channel and it shows exactly how I do it. 🥰
I have been using Aspire alcohol pens, and now that I need more, I’ve discovered they can’t be bought anymore. Can you please point me to alcohol pens of the same quality as Aspire? I recently bought some and was very disappointed by how they bled and how quickly they ran out of ink compared to what I’m used to with Aspire. Help!
Beautiful creations, thank you for all these tips. Do you put a product over your creation to protect it once you're done?
Yes I do! Krylon UV Archival Spray takes care of both sealing the ink and uv protection. Other products will reactivate the ink and it will move.
@@AlcoholInkArtCommunity Thank you!

Thank you so much for this awesome video! I was just wondering what I
was going to do with all the inks I purchased years ago and now I know!
I’m excited to try this technique! I’ve subscribed so I can have more ideas.
Thanks and God bless :)
I hope it helps! Have fun! ❤
Marvelous ❤️❤️

Glad it was helpful!

Thank you for sharing your expertise regarding alcohol inks. I notice that when you apply the alcohol next to the dried ink to create the petals, you don't get the 'circle' of separation at the drop site. I hope I'm making sense! When I place alcohol on alcohol ink, it separates. What am I doing wrong?!?!
It’s probably a stain that you’re referring to. That can happen on Yupo and some other similar substrates. Have you tried Nara paper or Grafix? Also ceramic tile will not stain.
