I asked about Observation Duty 5 during the Q and A session for the NYC show and they said it was “coming” and they did all 6 levels. I am ready, I hope !!!HUGE MAN!!! got them
For observation duty 5, the left 3 levels act like the normal version of observation duty, select an anomaly and a location, the right 3 levels have 9 cameras, but you only have to submit a location of an anomaly, plus you can only make 3 wrong anomaly reports before the game ends. Idk if these episodes are pre recorded days in advance, so this information may go on deaf ears, but just thought I’d let the grumps know just incase. But again, I’m sure they probably would’ve figured it out by now.
@@seeker4629 It's not always that far ahead, only when they're building a backlog for breaks/tours etc. I think they normally record weekly and do either 7 or 14 episodes at a time.
I have to admit, after the brightness debacle when Arin finally clicked on it, now there's the big HINT repeating message at the start that says one can turn up the brightness level...

Round two: lunch missing in classroom 1, fan stopped in classroom 2, idk, and dummy in classroom 2 that ends the game. Round three: toilet paper and soap missing, painting in corridor, and the unknown one that ends it.

Having never watched an observation duty before, I like to imagine Arin doing his goofy hyperventilating run while going to fix the anomaly. Something about him giving 200% to go and move the balls in the gym back to their original place really feels on brand
I love that these episode basically make Allie a third Grump, I would fuckin love it if you just got the entire office in so you have tons of eyes (and we get to meet everyone behind the show! :3)
I was thinking it would be cool if they had random episodes like guest grumps highlighting voluntary staff members. Either playing a game they worked on or a game of their choice.

Its a perfect representation of the second guessing and confusion this game creates with Arin accidentally reporting the anomaly using the same settings as the earlier (real) anomaly, reading the text, then mistaking the text disappearing for something moving, then remembering the words he just read processing them, thinking the sentence was from his own brain instead of read off the text, getting confused, checking the place where the non-existent anomaly would be even though if there was one it would be gone already.

By taking screenshots of each of the camera feeds at the beginning of the video and flashing them over some perfectly-aligned screenshots taken just before they failed each attempt, I was able to find the anomalies that were active just before they lost. Here are the anomalies that were active when they lost at 10:44: A laptop disappeared from atop a desk in the far row of Classroom 2. A chair moved at the end of the corridor (as Allie pointed out). Here are the anomalies that were active when they lost at 24:12: An object on a desk in the front row of Classroom 1 disappeared (As Arin pointed out). A Parcheesi-player-legged gentleman swung by the Office for a chat. Here are the anomalies that were active when they lost at 41:14: The poster on the left wall of the Corridor changed. The toilet paper to the left of the toilet in the open stall disappeared.

Hi! So this isn't a screaming complaint or anything, but I just wanted to say: It'd be really helpful if there was some way to watch all your episode of this in order. Without the numbers in the thumbnails or titles, it's becoming very, very difficult for someone like me who did not watch them at the time to put them in order. Even the playlist doesn't help, as it is most certainly not in order, and is missing entire videos to boot. At least with the "last time in Game Grumps" bit, I could guess, but those don't seem to be on any of the videos for Observation Duty 5 for some reason. Just a thought for next time, or maybe if someone over there has some time they could fix this playlist? I did a side by side of all the rooms between the end of the last run with the beginning of the very first, and could only find one anomaly. The painting above the drinking fountains in the hallway was different. The rest must be REALLY small or somewhere to dark to see. That level is brutal.
Apparently one they missed on multiple attempts is a missing laptop in classroom 2. The one furthest left in the back row (the ones where the screens are facing away from the camera)

Can't explain why I like this boring premise so much, but...I love it.
It gives them a chance to hang out and be extra Grumpy without having to focus on quick reactions or plot. Like, yeah, they still have to pay some attention (or they would if they want to win lmao) but it’s much more mentally chill than a lot of what they play
I’m convinced the setting for the observation duty games are getting more chaotic to prevent the grumps from observing

From what I saw after going through it over and over, the missing laptop next to the bag on the floor, i think there was a picture anomaly above the fountain, the fan in the office stopped and the toilet paper roll disappeared on the end run.

i kinda like the chill music, because of what you said. i like having this as a chill series i could fall asleep to or watch while i eat lunch or something instead of being tense and anxious the whole time

Hi! So this isn't a screaming complaint or anything, but I just wanted to say: It'd be really helpful if there was some way to watch all your episode of this in order. Without the numbers in the thumbnails or titles, it's becoming very, very difficult for someone like me who did not watch them at the time to put them in order. Even the playlist doesn't help, as it is most certainly not in order, and is missing entire videos to boot. At least with the "last time in Game Grumps" bit, I could guess, but those don't seem to be on any of the videos for Observation Duty 5 for some reason. Just a thought for next time, or maybe if someone over there has some time they could fix this playlist? Although I do recognize the chances of this comment getting read by anyone with any power to help out with that will see this. Either way, thanks for all the laughs, everybody on Team Grump.

I did a side by side of all the rooms between the end of the last run with the beginning of the very first, and could only find one anomaly. The painting above the drinking fountains in the hallway was different. The rest must be REALLY small or somewhere to dark to see. That level is brutal.
Apparently one they missed on multiple attempts is a missing laptop in classroom 2. The one furthest left in the back row (the ones where the screens are facing away from the camera)
I only saw that one as well. Then I used a walkthrough to try and find the others and I still only saw that one.
I like how in Classroom 1 they all know something is up with the corner being brighter, but didn't notice the black square thing was gone
