Of course, as you said: there's the matter of his prolonged absence, which would indicate the strong likelihood of his demise. There's one episode left in the season and - considering one possibility - he might re-appear to betray Adar at the last second after somehow discovering Halbrand's true identity. Obviously, this is pure speculation on my part so in the end, we'll just have to wait and see.

They really didn’t do justice for how powerful Gil-Galad is supposed to be in battle in this scene. This guy was able to fight Sauron, who is at least as powerful as the balrog that destroyed all of Moria. Yet here he struggles against a couple dozen orcs

Bc this was the morning after a whole night of fighting orcs and a troll, he’s exhausted. He also just got the news that Durin pulled back his whole army, which kinda seals their fate to lose this battle completely; so he’s not just physically exhausted but also mentally.

According to the lore, the spirit of a dead elf can be sent back to middle earth. This is what happened to Glorfindel. I'm quite sure they would make him come back like Gandalf in the Two Towers, providing another bad example of fan service and poor storytelling, as the usual RoP way. However, it is possible that the actor decided not to renovate his contract for season 3 already, so they made him die.

I don't know what they have in their heads, only ego and air. With 150 million books sold in the franchise, each film in Jackson's trilogy was the highest-grossing film of its time since Titanic. That's hundreds of millions of consumers who have a very clear idea of a product and what they expect from it. And then you go and, with your two balls, you piss on the original until it becomes unrecognizable, and you put a large part of that enormous amount of people who should promote the series, reject it and give a lousy publicity to the product. It is not enough to call it absurd.
At 2:50 - the defenders on the walls are dead. Why not put ladders to the wall and climb it? The stones at the bottom of the wall would be the hardest to rip out, since they're also being compressed from the top. I understand Arondir somehow surviving because I didn't understand why they tried to kill him off that easily but to show up again unscathed with zero battle wounds as if he just woke up from bed and arrived for war is crazy. Even marvel could not write such a silly story line unless there is an explanation awaiting us in the next season, which doesn't make sense.
If Adar and Arondir had a proper fight. I would've been rooting for Adar to kill him. We all knew Adar was going to die at the end of season 2, so we have to give him at least one win. Plus, the show suffers from an obviously bloated cast. Killing Arondir would've been fine. I just wished Adar had gotten a proper showdown with him. The guy's been in 2 seasons, and we've never seen him fight.
You didn't watch the full episode did you. It was hell for both sides. Artillery raining down on the city while elven arrows from the cities defenses massacring the approaching force. It was endless fighting all night before this scene. They undoubtedly ran out of arrows.

I don't know what they have in their heads, only ego and air. With 150 million books sold in the franchise, each film in Jackson's trilogy was the highest-grossing film of its time since Titanic. That's hundreds of millions of consumers who have a very clear idea of a product and what they expect from it.
And then you go and, with your two balls, you piss on the original until it becomes unrecognizable, and you put a large part of that enormous amount of people who should promote the series, reject it and give a lousy publicity to the product. It is not enough to call it absurd.

At 2:50 - the defenders on the walls are dead. Why not put ladders to the wall and climb it? The stones at the bottom of the wall would be the hardest to rip out, since they're also being compressed from the top. Nobody in the history of anything ever used chains for ripping stones out as a siege weapon. Also they're just... pulling stones out with their bare hands?

Robert Aramayo as Elrond has been one of the huge highlights of this episode, what a force of an actor he is, the ACTING 🔥and I'm holding onto that one suspicion-theory of some that Adar is Maedhros 👀👀

My questions is why doesn't Adar kill Elrond? He has him, he's killed Arondir (or has he), but lets Elrond live? Why, just why?
I understand Arondir somehow surviving because I didn't understand why they tried to kill him off that easily but to show up again unscathed with zero battle wounds as if he just woke up from bed and arrived for war is crazy. Even marvel could not write such a silly story line unless there is an explanation awaiting us in the next season, which doesn't make sense.
If Adar and Arondir had a proper fight. I would've been rooting for Adar to kill him. We all knew Adar was going to die at the end of season 2, so we have to give him at least one win. Plus, the show suffers from an obviously bloated cast. Killing Arondir would've been fine. I just wished Adar had gotten a proper showdown with him. The guy's been in 2 seasons, and we've never seen him fight.

You didn't watch the full episode did you. It was hell for both sides. Artillery raining down on the city while elven arrows from the cities defenses massacring the approaching force. It was endless fighting all night before this scene. They undoubtedly ran out of arrows.
