Oh Ross dont worry about an Oliver 520 baler, When you come over this way I'll show you the 2 I have and you might end up with them ! I really hope you bring a big trailer ! LOL You just got to love a good auction and all the treasures you find you got to have and bring home . Bandit
My first time watching your video. I first found out about your channel from Chris Losey aka That Oliver Guy. First let me say, I enjoyed your light hearted comments. I had a Homelite XL12 back in the early 80's that I gave to my son, which he does use and he also has a larger one, can't recall the size, but it's big. To answer your question, I do have a level of low intelligence that is among the most feeble, that may be why I enjoyed it.🤣Thanks Ross, have a good day!
Ross my grandpa cut timber all his life. He taught me everything I know about running a saw. Hr was 82 years old cutting timber everyday when he stopped cutting. I learned on one of those XL12 saws and he had a lumbard saw identical to the XL's. He used homelite until he bought a new 044 Stihl. One of the good 10mm not the 12mm. He was awesome with a saw.
Ross you had me cracking up at 22:50 if you did what I think you did! Great video and I wish you could’ve saved the combine and bought the Ford tractor. It’s a shame that some of that equipment gets scrapped. I can see that combine getting sent to a derby 😞 I hope someone uses it instead. Congrats on getting the saws! They’re quite interesting.
Great video Ross. I for one can't just go to an auction and not get anything. Seems the stuff that I do want goes for more than I wanted to pay. Then I kick myself for not bidding more and I end up buying stuff I didn't really want or need. Just the way things go for me. Looks like you did get a few good bargains. But it is always a fun time. Thanks for sharing.
The super ez automatic is a very good saw. In Canada ours were sold as the super mini but it’s the exact same saw. 42 ccs and has decompression lever built into the throttle lock. Uses the same bar and chain as the super xl.
Ross, Im taking one of my Farmall H tractors to a sale on 4/13/24. It was at a scrap yard and I got it from guy that saved it. Was repainted at one time, good oil press, all gauges work even 6 v gen works. every thing is good except rear tires very rough but do hold air . I hope the bad tires dont hurt selling price, Ive seen it happen to me before.
Looks like a great auction! I saw many things I would have been interested in! I have an old super ez saw like that. The auto oiler quit working and I couldn't fix it, but the manual worked. I ended up getting a parts saw for it, and kept it going. I don't remember why I gave up on it, but bought a new Stihl ms 250 to replace it. That little homelight was a handy little saw! I ran the Stihl until I was thinking about replacing it because it was showing it's use, but then I got robbed, and they stole it with everything else they were shopping for, so that was my excuse to buy a new one! I hope you have good luck with the super ez, it's a nice little saw! 😊
You should have bought and gifted that flower VW for the MI farmer. He does have a daughter in college who would like to have economical and cute wheels.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris That flower car would have made her drive more sensibly as it would stand out and be more visible to those who ask for your signature while standing beside your car with red and blue lights flashing. When I gave my pickup to my grandson I had painted flames down the sides of it. It made him drive sensibly because a red truck with flames stood out.
I used my red Super XL automatic just today to cut wood. It sure is loud, and compared to my new saws it is heavy but it cuts just as fast as my modern 60cc saws but the engine turns as half the speed. T think the rated rpm on the XLs is 6500 rpm compared to the new Husqvarna and Stihls at well over 10,000 rpm. They are great old saws but you're right, the vibration will numb my hands before I can run through a tank of gas. Back in the day my dad had a David Bradley saw that had the bar that flopped over for felling and I'd wager it was most likely made by Homelite.
Probably a little carb cleaning and possibly fuel line replacement depending how they look but I bet you can get those old chainsaws up and running again. Hopefully be able to get you a new container for you sprayer too.
HI ROSS 😊😊 those old saws will run circles around the old 2 man cross cut saw they will out cut them they will out cut the old 2 man cross cut saws that's how they had 2 cut wood be 4 chainsaws were made 😮😮 OMG 4 13 2O24
Depending on how bad the spray tank is you can seal it from the inside with a pvc rain jacket. I know from firsthand expertise that it will stop 1200 gallons of UAN from running down the ditch! 😂
i scored a 2 inch pump for $1 at an auction the only issue with it was the recoil balls were rusted to the recoil didnt work after a good cleaning the pump fired up first pull
Hey Ross when you figure out the Homelite chain saws let me know I have got a xl12 that has got a bow on it instead of a bar and the saw I have runs and cuts but it will not oil the saw chain is the only thing I have wrong with it
😂 You’re just like me when it comes to stuff like those Homelites “ I don’t need em but they practically made me buy them they were so cheap.” 😂 At least that’s what I tell the wife when she rolls her eyes at the pile of stuff in the back of my truck after a sale.😂
Lol, I kinda thought you might have some more chainsaws when you got home. Bummer about the baler, and the Ford. Not that you needed the Ford, but the baler would have been nice. Maybe he figured you would be around to get it from him later. Hope he doesn't just scrap it. Thanks for the video and I will see you later.
That was a naa with the hydro pto clutch conversion. The naa still had axle nuts like 8n. Do you know the name or mfg. of the pto conversion was it a Sherman also. I have never seen one of those I want to research it. I assume the clutch pack uncoupled the pinion gear from the transmission output shaft, similar to the AC hand clutch system. Great auction never been to a consignment auction wit so many smalls before. Usually they are 95%equiptment.
That off red disc is a Moline. I have one here with the extra fold up wings to make it 18 ft. I"d love to have that Case horse mower for my collection! Don't have a Case in my old mower collection. That NH combine was an import, rebadged but made in Hungary? Where was this big consignment sale? An annual event?
Ross I have a question about the rust remover that u use. What’s the name of it and how is it packaged and what sizes? I’m gonna make a few things “more better” that was my dads.
You have a problem ……..it makes me shake my head here’s what is going to happen first you will need to more flat surface way more magnetic parts trays and of course more inappropriate tools to use as hammers yep it’s spring on the farm WHAT MORE PROJECTS along with actual farming 😂😂😂as always I enjoyed your videos

“False. It immediately self destructed after this video.”
Had me rolling. Thank you. I needed that.

Auctions can be as interesting as a tractor show 😂 I just plowed my garden last night with my allis chalmers G
Well darn, when I saw you looking at that Oliver baler I thought that would be cool. I've only ever seen one of those in real life.
Some more treasures! Auctions are fun, love them!

She's car shopping! Summer break is almost here.
