I just framed out a 900 sqft basement using only this laser! Overall I like it. I was using the Bosch version (BSHNGLL3-330CG) for about 3 years prior but broke the mount to it and will sell it as is. This gave me the excuse and justification for matching battery platforms and phase out the few remaining Bosch cordless tools. I pulled my layout from the existing girder and joists-easy!
The Pros: super bright laser (although the line is thick up close), very strong magnet 🧲 -it hugged a lally column firmly, laser position lock-for laying out something that’s not level, built-in micro adjust, and lastly-it’s m12!
Cons: It’s bulkier than the Bosch, more expensive than the Bosch, accessories are extra $$$, and no Packout-come on Milwaukee!-at least make a Kaizen insert!
Bonus: use it to mark out all the ceiling lights and fixture cutouts on the floor (just in case your drywall contractor forgets to cut one out)

I got one of those. It's amazing. I accidentally dropped it off a lift about 5 feet up and it still works fine. I also got the ceiling grid attachment and the vertical micro adjuster attachment.
The vertical micro attachment is awesome but the weight of the laser is so heavy that it pulls the plastic gear away from the track causing grinding when adjusting it. Unless you want to damage the gear you have to lift up on the laser. In my opinion it's a big over sight and very disappointing considering its for a $600 laser with the Milwaukee name on it.

When the pendulum is locked and it flashes one time every eight seconds to let you know the pendulum is locked that is to shoot control lines at an angle let’s say a handrail for staircase. Both of the laser I have do that one being my Huepar which will only run you about 200$ for a 3x360 green beam with about a range of 100-120ft depending on Ceiling height and natural lighting.

About the only things I don't like are no standalone charger for the USB batteries, and the case... why the heck isn't it packout compatible? 2:06 THAT WAS EPYC! 🤣, love it.
Yeah, it’s funny how we’re all so used to red lasers and using them and trying to see that darn line, and then the first time a green laser is used, it’s like….WOW, why didn’t I just spend the money and get one sooner, b/c they really are Worth using.
If you need lasers on a project that doesn’t involve a small area or enclosed room, green is definitely the way to go; so much brighter and easier to see. Worth the cost and if take care of, should pay for itself👍🏻
    Cheers Vince✌🏻

Looks nice! Have to add it to the Xmas list and see if I have been nice this year 😉. Also I think you need to add hard shell cases to the worst Milwaukee accessories. How they have not converted those all over to packout by now is a real head scratcher!

    • @VCGConstruction
      @VCGConstruction  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

If it came in Packout that would definitely add some bang for the Buck! It would also be a entry point to the Packout system!
Maybe them Packout boxes would just add too much cost?

Fun fact. The human eye sees more shades of green than any other color. Stands to reason it's more visible than the red everyone always used. It was highly realized with gun lasers and their visibility. Especially in natural light.

Bolts are measured by diameter, pitch, and length. The pitch is the number of threads per inch. For example 1/4-20 (20 threads for every one inch length of bolt).
#10-32×2" ( screw would have approximately 64 threads due to the finer thread cut, and so forth. Thanks for the videos. Btw, I have mostly makita and Milwaukee. In the market for a cordless router, and leaf blower. Any recommendation out of those two platforms? Thanks for the vids!✌

I thought about this I have a Dewalt laser .The millwalkey is nice and all but the but is don't come in a pack out box .and dose not have a blue tooth turn off and on .so that you whould not have to touch the body of the laser ones it's adjusted .I don't know why they didn't think of those two things. So I don't think it's much of an upgrade to the Dewalt.

I just noticed they put the battery on top would have been better to put the battery on the side/back of the unit. In case if you put larger batteries in so it doesn't interfere with the laser beam. I do have a 9ah battery which is taller.
