  • @oneuptheextraman
    @oneuptheextraman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Ah. So don't fast charge overnight. That was the information I was trying to track down. I deliberately use an older lower power charger for overnight charging. I imagine it does not help, but by it not being a FAST charger (like the one it came with, I think) this video implies it does.

    • @jacobnunya808
      @jacobnunya808 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A slow charger (5w or less) might be better for overnight because you get neglibable heat increases and it is stuck at 100% for less time.

    • @javierdelatorrb
      @javierdelatorrb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If my charger is 20w, I shouldn’t charge it every night right?

    • @woodyszabo
      @woodyszabo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is SUPER WRONG about that. Your phone will switch over to use the power source in 100% when plugged in and will not use the battery at all. It will recharge the battery to 100% then stops charging it and won't discharge it either. He is NOT an expert and is a muggle! Do not trust this fella!

    • @vuk030
      @vuk030 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CubingBones it doesnt optimize your battery. lithium batteries work best around 60 to 75% and the reason for 20/80% battery level usage is simple. Both ways stresses your battery way too much. When you reach around 80-85% and keep pushing till 100%...you are forcing your battery to push even harder. Lithium bat happy place is between 30-40% and 80-85%. Remember that.
