    We cannot use assignmnent rules for custom objects so what are the other ways to do this?workflow, flows and process builders? We can just change the record owner field and cred rights will be passed to that queue or member?(considering OWD is set to private)
    Also, which sharing setting enables users to access only the records they create themselves irrespective of being in same profile or not?

    since we have already assign members of particular queue so that every user can acess that record in queue, then why there is need to change owner of any particular record which is assigned under particular queue?

    Very helpful but not very clear how queues are assigned in custom object and how a data entered in that custom object is assigned to that queue

  • @swagatapdas8913
    @swagatapdas8913 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Assigning a record to a user or a queue means giving ownership of that record to that user/queue? Then where is this information reflected?
    Suppose case logged from Kolkata is assigned to a queue of support employees(using assignmnent rules cases from kolkata are assigned to the kolkata queue/team). Where do I see this information in this particular case record's detail page? The owner stays the same as the user who created it!!

    Hey shrey. Good video but it could be better. you could choose better way to let other understand. That is explaining during the hands-on example.. means if you explain each and everything using word doc and sales org. Current way is more theoretical.. would be better if you only give ur voice and salesforce org to explain it practically.

    Hi,
    Thanks for sharing the video.
    Quick question.
    1. When OWD is private, Whether the Queue members superiors (higher role members cannot own the ownership?) due to Role hierarchy
    2. Since Queue can be assigned by Assignment Rule (Only lead & Case). Here only case can be assigned right?

    • @SalesforceHulk
      @SalesforceHulk  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ashok, answers are following:
      1. If "Grant Access using Hierarchies" is unchecked on that object then in that situation the users higher in the role hierarchy than queue members cannot own the records.
      2. Assignment rules can assign the records to queues which supports lead and cases. (If that is not what you are asking then can you please elaborate your question)

    • @Ashokkumarg8
      @Ashokkumarg8 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Salesforce Hulk Thank you for the response. Regarding the Question:2
      In Queue, service contract and custom objects cannot use assignment rules right. Since it supports Leads & Cases only.

    • @SalesforceHulk
      @SalesforceHulk  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but in that case, you can create a field update action using process Builder or workflow and set the owner field's value as the queue.
