You made my day! New to Audacity. Picking up drums and guitar. This sound isolation will come in very useful in my new hobbies. I think the installation has been improved without the need to manually move the files to a certain location. Look forward to more of your videos!
First time using Audacity for anything more than cutting audio files. You just made my day. I'm a ghostwriter, recently started writing song lyrics. As a preview i use AI music generators to actually hear my texts as specific music styles, but very often the voice quality is a bit too robotic and overall audio a bit noisy/low quality. I really hope this will help to improve it a bit. You just got a new subscriber. Thank You for this channel.
Thanks for the video! I'm surprised I'm not seeing more OpenVino videos from people yet. I've been playing with Style Remix for a week now - it's fun to experiment with and I assume it's going to evolve and progress at the same rate chat and image generating AI have.
No worries! Yeah I noticed there wasn't much talk on it yet. I have yet to get Style Remix to work. I'll play around with it some more when I get the chance.
That's because it's complaining about not finding this & that instead of working right. This was a very inspiring video that made me download open Vino, but the install was a complete letdown.
This is an extrem productive video with full of great information - all make right in the video - all my thumbs goes up and likes goes out. Great job! Edit - three month after this video - ther are an windows installer, so it is more easier.
Downloaded and installed and everything went fine. Worked a charm on the audio file I selected. Don't know how it works but all the seperate tracks were created from the original single track I loaded into it. Thanks SO much for the tutorial. Just a couple weeks ago I was wondering if there was a way to isolate just the drum track from a song....now there is!
Hi There, I've just updated to 3.5 and have not been able to restart OpenVINO, I'm getting an error message which reads 'Unable to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error: The specific procedure could not be found' Any ideas how to work around this issue?
So, I have the latest Audacity (3.5.1 64bit) and I just downloaded the OpenVino plugin (v3.5.1-R2.1), I enabled and restarted, but when I go to Effect>OpenVINO AI Effects, I only have "Music Separation" and "Noise Suppression". I want to use the "Music Style Remix" but it isn't showing up. On the gihub they have a screenshot showing it in that list but I am not seeing it, do I need to download something else?
I am getting this error: Unable to load the "mod-openvino module" a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed I followed directions and tried this twice. Does anyone know while my new dll is failing?
I don't have an Audacity submenu in the Effects or Analyze sections. I have a new version of Audacity than the one you would have used in this video, but I don't think I ever had that. I've installed the plugins and enabled the module, but I can't find them anywhere.
I'm a guitarist, and with this plugin, I've been able to split a song, take the guitar track and save it independently, or resave an mp3, with the guitar line removed COMPLETELY. It even works on live sets. I'm upto about 200 tracks in the past week or so, it's pretty incredible: Basket Case without Guitar: th-cam.com/video/ACf6zqAcD8c/w-d-xo.html Pink Floyd Money Live @ Live 8 without Guitar: th-cam.com/video/TupH2i4Cprk/w-d-xo.html Pork & Beans Weezer without Guitar: th-cam.com/video/Fh-K-jLVZOg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=m_NTIqJ2NrQEW7md I'm serious, when you're able to listen to Jimi Hendrix, just playing guitar on his own on some tracks, as well as suddenly be able to hear EVERY SINGLE WORD clearly all of a sudden, it gives you goosebumps. 😂
Has anyone else had the problem where audacity has loaded the OpenVino modules but they are dimmed or grayed out and can not be selected. Very frustating. Solutions?
You say you’ll probably be editing before you transcribe. For some of us, the transription feature is solely to aid in the editing process. It helps find the takes that need deleting.
Good point! It's just more for me I supposed it'd be easier to transcribe after. If you want to do text-based editing, Descript would be far easier than using this. I appreciate there's a cost involved, though.
What is the hardware configuration to run Openvino? Since it was released I have tried several times without results! My processor is an Intel Core i7 870 2.93 hz and I have Audacity 3.6.4. After installing and activating Openvino, Audacity no longer opens, it crashes EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION.
Changed mod-openvino from New to Enabled. Getting Unable to load the "mod-openvino" module Error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application when trying to restart Audacity. Nothing works from there. Help.
Sorry it didn't work for you. It might be worth posting in the github forum for it as there are developers hanging around there - github.com/intel/openvino-plugins-ai-audacity/discussions
I get the error; "The specified procedure could not be found". I've triple checked the file locations, and even uninstalled and re-installed the latest Audacity, but still doesn't work.
All was working well, tyhank you, until this morning when I downloaded the latest Audacity Version 3.5.0. and now it says "Unable to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error - The specified procedure could not be found". I have enabled New to Enabled in Modules, I have checked that both downloads have been copied into the Audacity programme. Have the Audacity developers put something into the programme to stop us using OpenVINO and make us use their useless "Vocal Reduction & Isolation"? Any suggestions, please. Also, any suggestions how to revert back to the older version of Audacity?
I'm having two problems. One is that there are 4 different files now to download this plugin (original plus fixes); please create a video how to install these as of now. It didn't work since I'm pretty new. Secondly, how can I take one audio track and use these tools to separate two vices into a track for each voice, so that I can adjust the volume on each?
Thanks for this. I'll try to revisit this at some point as these tools are changing all the time. I don't think there's a way of separating multiple vocals using the version in the video. I'll have to take another look, though.

I just updated my Audacity to the latest, then downloaded the latest in the OpenVINO AI for Audacity. I was able to get it to transcribe once and it did an AWESOME job..... Now, it fails ALL the time on every audio speaking file I give to it.
GETTING AN ERROR MUSIC SEPERATION FAILED - Operation 'OpenVINO Music Separation' took 0.029000 seconds. Poll was called 2 times and took 0.000002 seconds. Yield was called 0 times and took 0.000000 seconds.
Glad you got it sorted! The tricky thing with making videos like this is that TH-cam doesn't have a way of clearly updating a video. I do try and go back to videos and update descriptions and pinned comments with new info. But in this case, it's also at the whim of Audacity and what they do with the software/pages that I've linked to.
When I load Audacity I get "Uni-able to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error: The specified procedure could not be found". Could someone translate this robot language into PLAIN ENGLISH? I don't understand HALF of what that error means (like with most errors I encounter), so I don't know what I did wrong. I did it EXACTLY like in the video on Github, so what the hell?
yeah, me too it's a waste of time all I get are error codes....it's useless junk in my opinion all it says is click help diagnosis show long , then then what do we do? it's useless junk in my opinion we get what we pay for, huh..
Really cool features! But they still ignore the need about a way to organize plugins... I have more than 1.800 names here and it's simply the best translation and definition for the word frustration when I look for a certain plugin... ...there's no way to group them by function, or even a search engine... Reaper has some similar problems, too, but it's waaaaaayyy better than Audacity on plugin organizing...
Not sure why, but the music sep' does a terrible job for me. Sure it sort of separates into tracks, but each track has an awful crackle/buzzing sound with it. Sadly, not usefull at all.
That's a shame. I've only tried with a couple of tracks so far. It does depend on the type of track. None of these tools can completely separate things to be fair. Hopefully will get better with updates.
@@JoeAtClaricast you can see that I am much less compatible with the 5600x because when I turn on the PC, I do the first transcription, it works: I do the second one and it gives me symbols of the alphabet. I wanted to ask you, what should I put on whisper model? always basic?

Hi there, just following the instructions on the GitHub site which worked for me. If it doesn't show up there's a checkbox in Audacity. I've linked the GitHub page with the full up to date instructions.
I don't even have Audacity installed cause it's a really bad wave editor with a very cumbersome user interface and very limited functionality, and I don't want junky apps in my context menus etc. It's surprising that after all these years the opensource community never made something better.
There is a really good one (or so I hear) Ben Jordan made about these free wankers. And one came on top. Forgot it's name tho 😂 It was open source project as well.
I agree that it's a cumbersome editor. And sorely needs some new features that other DAWs have had for years. It's very fast and simple though, meaning that it's useful for teaching the basics of recording, and I find it useful for quickly recording voice or chopping something up when I don't have time for Pro Tools to boot up! Some of the plugins like the music separation mentioned here and the built-in noise reduction are genuinely solid free plugins that a lot of other DAWs will have you pay for.
Plugins not showing? Click Edit > Preferences > Modules > set mod-openvino from New to Enabled > click OK and restart Audacity.
I did as you mentioned but it gives %1 error mod-openvino is not a valid win32 application error

It's pretty limited how you can save them. File > Export > Export Labels... is all you can do.
