Thanks for showing the creative possibilities. As a newbie, i don't have a big network yet, and no access to get other talented people involved to sketch ideas (yet). This kind of tech helps a lot to get inspired and explore new possibilities and help me fiddle with ideas. Awesome tutorial - and I've signed up to your channel ;)
If they baked in some vocal tuning code within the AI element (like singing out of tune rambling) and it changes the voice and stays within the key of the song, that would be great. it seems it follows your vocals whether your in tune or not.
That use of AI I'm ok with and have been using already. Great for tight budgets and demos. Like MIDI and synths and drum machines did with instrumentalists way back, this will take a bite out of VO artists' and singers' income sometime in the very near future, no doubt. It could have the opposite impact of tuning software, when it turned non-singers ou semi-singers into viable recording artists. I can easily imagine a music production company with 1 single versatile vocalist on the payroll making a lot of mileage out of hem/her/it. Changing landscapes.
It would more useful with two options, one for capturing a hit records voice from commercial songs, and second one to have a choiche between different previews, as singing styles, for a better selection and utilization of the tokens and money.
I'm here for it. I use Synthesizer-V as my vocal assistant, and its changed how I create music. I feel that its good enough for a final product, though I'm not releasing anything on a commercial scale and I might feel differently if I was. I'm not putting anyone out of work, because if it didn't exist, I simply wouldn't be writing vocal songs - I actually did write mostly instrumental stuff before this tech came along. That said, I have worked with singers on a few songs in the past, and as a relatively untrained songwriter, I found vocal sessions to be difficult to get through. Synth-V gives me the time I need to think about phrasing delivery, with no unexpected results that might otherwise require a second vocal studio session, and aids in the actual writing itself, both in terms of musical notes, and lyrics to fit. Even for scratch vocals, this is an incredibly useful tool, that would give a singer a really good idea of the result I'm looking for in terms of phrasing or word emphasis/cadence, beyond the actual notes themselves.
Where can I get the software? How much does it cost and do you get upgrade licenses for life? is the software class compliant and compatible with Linux? i'm a singer trying to make melodies because melodies are not my strongest suit so would love someone to help with writing songs that I can sing. I'd like to make original material
Agreed. Synth-V is the best and works great with the DAW and the ammount of adjustments you can do on the voice is quite impressive. Here's an example I did th-cam.com/video/6x07JdUiEy0/w-d-xo.html
I use Synth-V as well. I'd have to say, after watching this little demo of SoundID - Synth-V is hands down a better solution. So much more control and versatility. Edited to add Its also a one time purchase, not cloud based and renders in real-time.
The music industry had control on who they chose to put in the spotlight and most of the time take advantage of. Now AI opens up opportunities to those who couldn't compete at the time. The competition will be fierce and ubiquitous.
The "music industry" has been using AI for a LOOOOONG time before the 10 bucks a month services went public. How people don't understand this is crazy.
@@listentobaladui started to watch a video on this and at first went wow and then my anti-AI kicked in and that changed to no It is worthwhile knowing about it though
Your voice is better than you’re giving yourself credit. You don’t need AI…at least not as a lead vocal. As vocal double or harmony pushed in the back of a mix, perhaps…but yours is fantastic. Wish I had your singing voice.
It's a great tool, but we still depend on the "emotional quality" of the initial voice record. In my mind the real game changing will happen when we could create human like emotional singing "from scratch", like text-to-singing... With adding tone, mood, articulations, etc. Something like we use the "key switch" technology for creating realistic acoustic instruments tracks.
JHS and Rhett Shull made an April Fools video on a pedal that does this. I think it was just a year or 2 ago. Crazy to think that it could become a reality pretty soon.

thats pretty impressive, i definitely can see me using this. my wife is classical studied singer, so i´m surely not going to replace her voice, but this can be useful for creating background choir variations from her original performances and blending them slightly in. just one example. thanks for the tip! the only thing i´m always concerned about all the AI tools are, what is happening with the data we are giving (in this case the audio, the lyrics).
it looks "Ok", but i am Not sure whether it is the most effective way to handle this process. the idea that u had to record into it . . . caught me by surprise. with Ace Studio you type the lyrics and then audition these using various voices/singers. But with Synthesizer V Studio, you type the lyrics and audition various singers rendering those lyrics . . . ALL of that = 100% offline with INSTANT preview and the freedom to INSTANTLY change ALL the words in the lyrics 🤩😍! But I do realize that you singing into it, allows it to sort of imitate your voice and some nuances (expressions) in HOW you WANT that part of the song TO BE SUNG (emotional expression), which is indeed something more elaborate than typing lyrics and then hearing robots sing them WITHOUT any of them being aware of the EXPRESSION you preferred to be used when singing that part 🤩🤩 so it is a little AHEAD of the other Ai singers in this regard 🥰😜
It's quite intriguing. If it aids in creativity, why not give it a try? Unfortunately, the installation/activation process is messy on my Mac, causing Ableton (12) to crash repeatedly and there is no way to uninstall the plugin (except to delete it manually) . It seems like a beta version, even though it's not labeled as one. The race for AI tools in music production should not affect quality especially coming from companies like Sonarworks. I also gave myself the demo. Regardless of the AI itself, there are still a few points on the technical side that the plug-in needs. It desperately needs a preview of what the voice would sound like when finally played back in the arrangement. This option does not currently exist. So you first have to render (and pay) for a few seconds to see whether this AI voice really harmonizes with your own song. 5-10 seconds as a preview would be enough. The maximum recording time is currently 5 minutes. Here too I would like a slightly longer recording time than 5 minutes In addition, the generated cache files (on Windows) are saved to a specified folder on “C” and are also cryptically named.
