We are a multigenerational sailing channel with 2 boats and 1 collective dream of crossing oceans.
Meet Mick, Kate and their 2 boys Thomas and Bentley aboard Meraki a Stan Huntingford Explorer 45. An Aussie/Canadian family who dreamed of living life differently and took the leap into sailing life during COVID and have never looked back. Having sailed from beautiful BC, Canada down to Mexico and the next big leap will be the Pacific Ocean in Spring 2023.
You'll also get to know Kevin and Shawna (parents to Kate) aboard M2 a TransPac 49'. They've had had a lifelong dream to sail the world and are currently in the Caribbean with big plans to transit the Panama Canal very soon!
While the original goal was to be visiting anchorages together, life had different plans. With one boat being purchased in the Pacific NorthWest and the other acquired in the Caribbean we've been waiting out Hurricane season in separate Oceans.. but the reunion is going to be OH, SO, SWEET!

fuel stabilizer. also, pour fuel thru cheesecloth prior to filling steve's' gut. sometimes steve is a hungry fellow, but he's watching his weight. fuel that sits in sun inside jerry cans creates a shellac that builds in the heat.
btw, what day is it?
Brilliant idea with the cheese cloth! We got all fresh fuel right before we left Penasco hoping it would keep Steve a little happy ;)
Mic...shoes!,...sailboats, every time we pull into our slip on the Columbia I'm barefoot (unless its spring or autumn). enjoy going towards the equator. great update and awesome spot to see. the boys are soooo big! its been fun to watch. our kiddo keeps growing!

Indeed, beautiful bays, coves, and islands here, with some nice drone coverage. Enjoyed your "creative adventure" and further island treks across those amazing rocks. Interesting that in your discussion of boats waiting to cross the Pacific, you didn't mention your own intention to do so; I guess this decision wasn't made just yet. The great journey to launch soon!

Thanks so much Barbie! We've been trying to get an update out of mom and dad but it's tough when we aren't together.. but rest assured they are doing SO well and we will be seeing them....soon.
After viewing Ep92 you should always remove the fuel line from the motor at the motor end whilst the motor is still idling until the motor cuts out.This will empty the carburetor and fuel lines of fuel in your motor ,what happens is the remaining petrol may become stale or may completely evaporate in your engine,if it is a two stroke it leaves a residue of oil after the petrol has evaporated that can block your jets in the carbie or clog the spark plug preventing the motor from starting the next time you try to start it.All you have to do is reprime it with the fuel line bulb each time you go to use the motor.Practise this exercise each time you have finished using the motor daily and especially if you are not going to use it for a period of time.
