Modified SDC 2300, 50 cent piece @ 12 inches w/ 12" Nugget Finder Coil

Modified sdc2300 running the 12" Nugget Finder Advantage coil. Mode 4, 50c @ 12" at the Laanecoorie test site. Audio is from the internal speaker on the sdc . Started in standard frequency, then switched to lower frequencies during the testing. Mods include coil adaptor plug, noise reduction and frequency control.

I tried the 12x8 evo and 12" round evo and the sdc did not like them at all. It was very difficult to find coils that would work properly on the sdc and that being said, larger coils were just miserable on depth to real gold nuggets worth digging. The machine is designed for small gold with small coils. If you want a machine that surpasses the sdc for sensitivity and at the same time get better depth, with the ability to use larger coils efectively, consider the modified GPX5000. It runs rings around the sdc.
