This is one of the best general pest control videos online. Most videos are beyond inaccurate, or just plain wrong. This video was responsible, realistic, and even a little inspiring. Might have something to do with the feeling I was watching Matt Damon doing pest control. Lol

i am being picky here, but when i do any kind of spraying, i wear long sleeves. I will where a large button up shirt and take it off when i am done. But thats just me. And I usually where goggles and a brim bump cap if i am spraying up. And I wear a respirator if necessary.

Here at Go-Forth Pest Control, our technicians, always consult the labels on our pesticides. We consider it the law. It is a requirement to keep long sleeves, safety goggles, and a respirator in our vans. These materials are used when required according to the pesticide label. Thank you again for your willingness to share!
The Label states what PPE Gear are required, which could include wearing Long Sleeves.
i live in california and what you described is basically the law here. I cant imagine spraying everyday without a respirator and long sleeves but i think the culture of california generally causes people to be more aware of affects on personal and environmental health. Many in the industry say were overly regulated but when it comes to health and environment id rather error on the side of caution.
Almost 100 % when using dust applications above you the label calls for some type of eye pro 😄
In Illinois the back pack sprayer is for fogging for mosquito and we wear way more than he is

Carry some dogs biscuits, that's what I do during application treatments here at O Connor Pest Control, it helps with the dogs.

@@Paintball1212 hello! No school that I know of. I’m still studying. They gave me 3 weeks to study. Application to take the state exam says to be ready before you send it in. :) pretty easy I’d say! Just read it and memorize
@@jaystechroom easy if you read the book they provide and get to the test site an hour early and just read the entire book just sort of speed read,what your eyes see will be in your brain and you can easy call up the information when you need it

@@ErockHQ I actually got a call before the pest control job to be a photographer so I’m doing that now lol. Never went to take the test but I hear it’s worth it. Good benefits. I might jump on it once someone leaves where my buddy is working at.
why not spray the foundation with a flowzone?
Absolutely ,.they work better than any Manuel backpack and they are lightweight for a backpack sprayer
Weird question but any idea if a product like Bifen IT, Tempo SC or Suspend will harm car paint?
I have a swarm of ants on my 4 cars with thousands of ants walking around and I'd like to retire them before they go back to their nests.
We do not treat for cars, however, we recommend thoroughly cleaning out the car to get rid of the food source that the ants are attracted to.
@@GoForthPestControl thanks for your response. No food in our cars at all actually. They just seem to have nested in our cars weather stripping, frame channels, fender wells, on top of gas tanks, pretty much all places we can't get to. We tried baiting them but didn't notice any change. Sometimes on a humid night they seem to move locations on the vehicles and we see them walking along the door frames and sometimes like the other night right on top of the painted surfaces. We treated the ground but they don't seem to leave the cars inner sections. Not in the interior, I mean just hidden spaces on the exterior and under the cars. It's frustrating. I found a group of them and sprayed but their reign continues..

I know I am here to late but cleaning up and some bait in areas that kids won't be able to touch. I caught a rat once in a car 😄
@@Conald_isAfalseProphet try placing the bait stations on the car hood near the doors and maybe on the car roof ,the bait will actually lure them out of the car to get the bait

I start monday is it worth it? In going to be simply mosquito sprayer . They say 18 an hour 8-5 does one get out on time or early at all? Skeptical about the money too
Mosquito spraying is seasonal in most areas but not always
Forget about seeing your house in the daytime doing pest control in the summer
Why don't you start your own pest business in your area?
Why should he when he's working for one? I know someone who was a fellow pest tech, he left and started his own. He's been quite successful, but all the headaches are on him now as the owner.

It is fairly routine! If you’re interested in a career that allows you to be outside, enjoying the elements and where you have the opportunity talk to customers in-person, Go-Forth is the place to be.
I used to be a pest control tech for 2 years. Nothing that ever made me lose my lunch.
