It's been 2 years since my initial onset of vestibular neuritis. I am about 85% back to normal, but driving and flying still makes me nauseous. It's been the worst thing I've ever dealt with. A page of symptoms long that I couldn't explain. Best of luck in everyone's recovery!

And the most common neurological cause of recurring vertigo is Vestibular Migraine. If you have had over 5 episodes of rotatory vertigo, along with some other diagnostic criteria, you MAY have vestibular migraine (which often presents without headache.) just FYI for anyone watching this video looking for all the possible answers.

thank you so much! I intuitively done everything rightand trained myself every day by taking a ride on my bike for 20-30 minutes long!
In my case a dormant herpes virus got latent active again, 4 weeks after I recovered from Omikron. It started with being sensible towards the wind when riding bike. Then I had two days long mild pain in my ears, left more present than right. On the third day I woke up with much dizzyness, went to work for a couple of hours and went back home since I could keep nothing inside me. I puked the first two days, and was strong enough to see a doctor on the 3rd day, but being out of bed was extremly exhausting and tirering. However my physician could not find anything but an increased blood pressure , and he saw no signs of an ear infection. I had an appointment with an ear specialist on day 5.
I still felt like drunk, was extremly tired, sweat a lot just by sitting in the waiting room. He also found no signs of an infection and tests excluded the possibility of stuck kernels in the vestibular organ. Day 9: Since I repeated that I feel like drunk and tired, I was brought to the neurological emergency room. I got some scans there: No stroke either. So they let me go home since they all were clueless.
Then I read what I could find on the Internet and found a couple of doctors who descibed exactely how I felt: An Herpes Infection of the vestibular nerve, also possible: a flashbak of the chicken pox, however, they would have noticed rashes in my ears if it were chickenpox.
So I drank every day 1,5 liter lemon balm tea since that works best against herpes, and 1,5 Liter St. Johns Wort tea, since thats a potent virus killer, too. I fasted for 12 days long since that mobilizes the immune system and took each day one pill of lysin amino-acid since viruses cannot reproduce anymore after taking lysin within their construction process, which reduces their number and buys time for the immunesystem . After 18 days I had the feeling I was fully awake and the dizzyness has gone

      Hey Stephen
I have experience similar symptoms from HSV1 infection last month.
My vertigo symptoms are gone but i have crazy brain fog and memory issues.
Did you experience the same? I am glad you are feeling better and are out of this nightmare

    • @stephenmedley5844
      @stephenmedley5844 ปีที่แล้ว

@@susan7800 Yes! Brain fog was in the first two weeks that extrem that I felt being drunk. And eventhough my condition got better after two weeks, I still felt it 2 months long, also the memory loss - although THATS tough to determine since I am constantly affected by my ADHD and because Im constantly exposed to much stress at work and still get some flashbacks of the two burnouts I had (2006 and 2015). Memory loss is also a sign of being emotionally, mentally or physically exhausted and/or sleeploss, insomnia, having too much coffee and other stimulants. But I really think its safe to say that the symptoms vanished completely after 2 months and that symptom was related to vertigo. Just mentioning it, so you will also take your personal environtmental conditions into consideration.
However, since the new variants of Omikron PLUS the regular cold have been spreading much lately (Frankfurt/Germany), I noticed that my neurodermitis got worse, which means Im currently fighting some infections. All tests have been negative so far, but they are not really reliably detectors. I wake up every morning with itchy feet and hands, and I feel some snort from the sinuses running done my throat. So, I probably caught some cold recently, but the viruses I have been exposed to in the last 4 weeks have not really given me serious symptoms EXCEPT THAT I experience some flashbacks of the dizzyness again - maybe three times a day. Then I feel for a brief moment how the room is tilting top over .. that just lasts for a few seconds and then it gets instantly good again.
Im not sure if my brain is playing me tricks since I have a history of neurological issues. Never underestimate the Pavlow Effect. But their is a possibility that every new infection triggers the herpes in addition. Keep in mind that you will barely get totally rid of dormant infections. There are some theories of how to manage that, but thats an other story
If you want to be sure its an active Herpes, consider getting tested the next time you feel having it. When herpes gets active again, there is a second type of antibody which can be detected then.
I hope you've recovered and are doing fine now 🤗 Warm greetings from Frankfurt!
PS : Lemonbalm and St. Johns Wort are potent Virus killers . While lemonbalm is quite tasty, St. Johns Wort is more like honey sweetened hay ... not bad, but kind of weird taste. You will get used to it. Uhm ... its also a potent anti-depressant drug. Regardless if you have depressions or not, it will brighten your mood. That might confuse your people around you when you start to giggle about most things 😅

Can you have it in both ears at the same time? I got comfy earbuds, and started wearing them all the time, even slept in them (they cancel noise very well!). I’m on day 11, and Epley, the barrel roll, and somersault maneuvers did nothing to help. Didn’t even bring on any “dizzy” episodes. I’m not spinning, it’s more like walking on a boat that’s on the ocean. My earbud case looks very dirty. I didn’t notice before. And my ears kinda hurt deep inside like I’ve stuffed earplugs deep into them. I’ve dropped my earbuds, just blew on them, and put them back. Yikes!
I’m feeling a little better now after some Motrin, ear ache drops, and no -drowsy Claritin. 🙏🏻

I still get random head pressure and burning pain in my forehead that goes down to my arms and previously to my legs but 90% in my forehead. I usually also get a bit light headed/dizziness when it happens but not constant. Got my neck mri results today finally and they found nothing, so that was good to know that I dont have sclerosis or anything forming. I did head mris earlier in the year and they found nothing as well. Overall im just tryin to live my life normally lately but still dont feel like working. What kind of testing have you had done and what did doctors say?. Id get all your vitamins and minerals tested and heavy metals with extensive blood testing. Today marks 6 months since My Vertigo suddenly began 30 days after having a total left shoulder replacement and sleeping in a Lazy-boy since I couldn't lay on my side in bed.
My ENT diagnosed this a Vestibular Neuritis. My Physical Therapist said I had a crystal in my ear. When I do the Epley Maneuver my right eye spins for about 6 sec. I have now done the Epley over 100 times. Nothing. I'd be willing to pay anyone for the right answer. That would beat living the rest of my life like this. I walk about 5 miles a day trying to shake this. When I decided to graduate to riding a bicycle my head started to spin and I slid across a sidewalk and face first into a rock wall. Yeah that didn't work.

I've got nystagmus and very heavy eye flutters on both eyes, usually upper and lower eyelids. I have also been diagnosed with POTS Syndrome/general 'dysautonomia' aka autonomic dysfunction that nobody knows what to do about. Can autonomic issues or POTS result from a balance disorder? My VNG was quite abnormal and also revealed Hippus. The faster the movements, the more deviation I had. I was diagnosed by a functional neurologist who my MD docs don't believe, but he has so far given me more info about my body malfunctions than they have and they seem jealous. I litearlly can't work because I'm so lightheaded. Blood rushes to my feet/legs from the POTS. The eye fluttering 24/7 and the lightheadedness and 'tight' feeling on each side of my head near the temples, side of the head and also down the neck on both sides is very irritating daily. My whole body does weird/jumpy stuff and the functional neurologist felt that my frontal lobe is overwhelmed with unfiltered information and that the middle brain is malfunctioning causing the nystagmus. They try to retrain the brain to not malfunction, essentially..which the MD docs don't agree with. They'd rather give me meds that don't work for the rest of my life. I also get nauseous/lightheaded/dizzy, feel like I'm not walking straight and near-syncope when standing.

I've also been diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction(dysautonomia),and also had a VNG which was positive for vestibular dysfunction, testing also done by my neurologist. I've had all of the symptoms since childhood in which i've had had all the childhoogdillnesses like the chicken pox, mumps, measles in which these, and different "viruses" have been shown to cause vestibular dysfuntion. I really don't know the answer to what came first espescially when both disorders can cause many of the same symptoms, but for me specifically i'm thinking that the viruses that caused my childhood illnesses set off the vestibular disorder in which caused "Mine",and mine alone, becuase there are other things that i'm sure that can cause this disorder
