Not on his channel because the Chinese tv station didn't get permission to use the song. After broadcast he was contacted by the writers lawyers and Dimash said he would never sing it again. This isn't the only version there are two previous ones, one in a Chinese pop show where he did a mini concert and one on a Kazakh TV show, its a comedy version. Very funny, but thats it, no more ever again. Seems the original singer got scared because Dimash took the song higher and higher when the original only went up once. There you go 😢💖
Not the wrong one, it's the ONLY one!🤣 Because Chinese TV did not clear things re copyrights of the original singer (Vitas, Russian guy, and this is his 'signature' song, a very popular one!), Dimash is forbidden to ever perform it in public again. Even without the legal issues, he would respect the feelings of the senior artist anyway...

We would have been protective of Dimash if someone took one of his songs without asking permission to use it (remix perhaps, since there is not a living soul who can actually sing Di's songs 🤣) Copyright is a form of intelectual property, TV station should not have gone without asking permission and paying the copyright fees. So, they paid the fines instead, but Dimash got the punisment too. That's life

Not the wrong video at all! The producers had not fully cleared the rights for use of the song Opera #2 by Russian singer Vitas, resulting in a big copyright takedown and subsequent banning of Dimash singing any of Vitas's works in the future. The original is still worth a listen tho!

He knew that Dimash was feeling homesick and was on a surprise visit and hiding in the audience. Just after finiishing the song Dimash spotted him in the crowd, took a bow, thanked the audience and jumped into his father's arms, asking twice if he had done well. So endearing.

This has always been one of my most favorite performances by him as he's able to showcase the entertainer side of him with his ability to TOTALLY engage an audience; where he actually PLAYS with us...and we GLADLY go right along!! If you're not smiling, shaking your head, clapping wildly, laughing out loud, or even just sitting there, stunned by the end of this ..................then something's wrong wid cha!! LOL But the more fuller version of this is truly heartwarming, where unbeknownst to Dimash, the producers had secretly brought in his dad from his beloved Kazakhstan, and it not only will do your heart good when he spies his dad in the audience and then gets to hug him, but it's also soooo touching as they exit the studio, with Dimash asking, "Did I sing well?"......and then not even to mention the heart melting moment when Dimash, alone in a strange country, not knowing the language, with his translator basically as his only friend (at this point), with pressure that none of us could ever fathom, homesick, quietly confides in his dad, "I want to go home." BUT!!! You have to laugh when later in some interview, Dimash admitted that he wouldn't have been so "flirty/cheeky" with the audience, had he know his dad was there!! Haha!!! I guess you'd expect for a person who's soon to have a PhD in Musical Composition and also has done a Broadway Musical Masterclass to be able to offer interesting composition and stage craft. I've not seen Dimash's equal, to be honest (yes I know he has other highly talented people working with him).

Hey there. I think you should give Hua Chenyu a listen, if you got some time. He is not only a great singer/performer, but also a really really good composer and arranger when it comes to his songs or Covers. He has been on the same Show as dimash is here, just a year later and I think he is just brillant. His music is interesting and an unexpected mix of genres. You never know what you gonna get, when you click on one of his Videos.

That was a Great reaction! I am enjoying and learng from your comments and explainations to Diana & Dimash. One thing that stands out throughout this competition, "Singer", is how Awesome the compositions and instrumentalists are! They had a relative short time to put the musicl compositions together for each artist that sang. Most of the Artists gave Big Cred to the people playing the music.

I do not who the composer was of this song, but. the original singer is a Russian singer named Vitas, whose manager threatened to sue Dimash because of this song. Dimash simply sang this better than Vitas. This was the 2nd. song Dimash sang on the program "The Singer 2017". Dimash was invited to participate. He was the first foreigner and the youngest singer ever to participate in this show. Also, it was a singing competition for professional and established Chinese singers. Dimash was brought in as a "dark horse." One of the producers said, "this horse is too dark." Dimash is not just an amazing singer, he is a performer extraordinaire, and is conscience of everything he does on stage. He said that when he was two or three years old, he would draw pictures of himself performing on a big stage and never once thought of ever doing anything else. He still does vocal training for 3- 5, and more, hrs. a day every day, and if his heart was cut open all you would see and hear is music.

It just makes us appreciate the awesomeness of Dimash in a way we would not have a hope to on our own. The musical arrangement of this song really makes it, I love it, and I love it more now you have explained things, but not everyone “hears” the same things or if they do they have no interest in “what” or “why”. Don’t discount us for the “dears” who just love Dimash and that is all. For me it is also what he like as a person that makes him even more awesome. If he was a proud arrogant egotistical male chauvinist I doubt I would listen to him no matter how he sounds. Dimash is a whole complete awesome package. (who originally only went up twice in his key changes, where Dimash changed 4 times total?) anyway Vitas actually apparently contacted Dimash and told him he did not have permissions to perform this song anymore. (different comments about whether he was just 'jealous" ... or some say the competition producers didn't get appropriate permissions before Dimash did this in the show so Vitas won't let him do it (like ever again) ... You should check out Dimash's new song "Be With Me"(sorry audio only so far). It's mostly in English, but he does something you haven't heard yet, very different from what you've heard him do so far. Correction just now Dimash did a video version of "Be With Me".
Greetings from Russia! I will immediately answer the first question asked: the author of the song "Opera-2" is a Russian singer and composer, the author of poems Vitas. He wrote and performed this song for the first time in 2003. It was written during an attack of melancholy and was supposed to show a sad mood, in this way Vitas performed it - sadness, longing, boredom and loneliness. Unfortunately, after a short time Vitas stopped singing live, his concerts were accompanied by a soundtrack and a carefully rehearsed show on stage. Dimash initially performed a cover, not the author's version, and immediately stated that he would perform two tones higher, which he did, and in the end he performed vocalizations two notes higher than the original. Only the chinese producer Hunan TV had this video , so this performance will remain unique! The probably reason could be Vitas make 1 key change and Dimash does 3!

Hey there. I think you should give Hua Chenyu a listen, if you got some time. He is not only a great singer/performer, but also a really really good composer and arranger when it comes to his songs or Covers.
He has been on the same Show as dimash is here, just a year later and I think he is just brillant. His music is interesting and an unexpected mix of genres. You never know what you gonna get, when you click on one of his Videos.

I do not who the composer was of this song, but. the original singer is a Russian singer named Vitas, whose manager threatened to sue Dimash because of this song. Dimash simply sang this better than Vitas. This was the 2nd. song Dimash sang on the program "The Singer 2017". Dimash was invited to participate. He was the first foreigner and the youngest singer ever to participate in this show. Also, it was a singing competition for professional and established Chinese singers. Dimash was brought in as a "dark horse." One of the producers said, "this horse is too dark." Dimash is not just an amazing singer, he is a performer extraordinaire, and is conscience of everything he does on stage. He said that when he was two or three years old, he would draw pictures of himself performing on a big stage and never once thought of ever doing anything else. He still does vocal training for 3- 5, and more, hrs. a day every day, and if his heart was cut open all you would see and hear is music.

It just makes us appreciate the awesomeness of Dimash in a way we would not have a hope to on our own. The musical arrangement of this song really makes it, I love it, and I love it more now you have explained things, but not everyone “hears” the same things or if they do they have no interest in “what” or “why”. Don’t discount us for the “dears” who just love Dimash and that is all. For me it is also what he like as a person that makes him even more awesome. If he was a proud arrogant egotistical male chauvinist I doubt I would listen to him no matter how he sounds. Dimash is a whole complete awesome package. I would give the world for my son to feel about me like he does about his parents.

Thank you.From what I understand he did this OPERA 2 on this competition, but apparently he did it better than the original artist, VITAS ... (who originally only went up twice in his key changes, where Dimash changed 4 times total?) anyway Vitas actually apparently contacted Dimash and told him he did not have permissions to perform this song anymore. (different comments about whether he was just 'jealous" ... or some say the competition producers didn't get appropriate permissions before Dimash did this in the show so Vitas won't let him do it (like ever again) ... That is probably why it is not found on Dimash's own channel. Anyway, I do love your critiques and comments, great analysis!! I Subscribed.

I will immediately answer the first question asked: the author of the song "Opera-2" is a Russian singer and composer, the author of poems Vitas. He wrote and performed this song for the first time in 2003. It was written during an attack of melancholy and was supposed to show a sad mood, in this way Vitas performed it - sadness, longing, boredom and loneliness. Unfortunately, after a short time Vitas stopped singing live, his concerts were accompanied by a soundtrack and a carefully rehearsed show on stage.
Dimash initially performed a cover, not the author's version, and immediately stated that he would perform two tones higher, which he did, and in the end he performed vocalizations two notes higher than the original. Hearing all this, Vitas was offended... or jealous... in general, he forbade Dimash to perform this song. I found an excuse: Dimash performed the song WITHOUT PERMISSION and violated copyright...
