Awh sweet baby. She's lovely. I have wanted a Russian Blue so so bad for ages! I've got all my pet names sorted in my head. My Russian Blue will be called Mya. I can't wait to get her one day
Cats are said to prefer running water, because their instinct tells them to avoid still water, because still water is more likely to be contaminated and thus make them sick.
I had a Russian Blue when I was little named Natasha and she lived to be 24 years old! I've had adopted/rescued cats ever since and have no regrets because I love them dearly, past and present (my current eldest mixed torbie is hands-down _the best_ cat I've ever had!). That being said, my curiosity is peaked. Because I only knew Natasha when she was a senior and rather sick, I'm _seriously_ considering getting another Russian Blue for my next cat.
Found a gorgeous russian blue kitten on my local shelter's website, and everyone but my dad wants it. Trying to convince him, wish me luck! (His name is Pluto! Isn't that adorable?)
I got my Duchess as a give-away, her parents were moving country. I had her for 13 years and I never knew she had a pedigree / breed. Your cat is a spitting image of my Duchess, smart, sassy, super intelligent, sweet n sour. Yesterday, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to relieve her of her frail illness ridden body. Duchess. 15yo. Mistress to 2 pitbulls. Queen of our hearts. lots of long life to your fur-baby xx
I love this video, reminds me of my cat. I have a Russian blue he’s 18 this year still going strong. They are the most friendliest cats ever. Never can be replaced 🥺♥️
I buried Felix today and he was a true Russian Blue approx 13 years old. Felix was Lisa R's cat whom I have been friends with for over 10 years and it took some time to become so with Felix. Felix was the greatest cat and I will miss him dearly as long as I walk this earth. I ensured no other beast will disturb his resting place as he deserves such. I love you Felix.
Me three, Just got him at the shelter two months ago. They said he was two years old. I always wonder what happened to him. Whats his story? He is wonderful, I cant imagine anyone just giving him up. He was down at the shelter for two months before we got him, so if anyone was really looking for him they could have found him easy enough. I will always wonder. I had my last cat for twelve years, and he was truly a part of the family. Wolfie hit the jackpot with us. He is a true member of our family and will be loved for the rest of his life....
Beautiful. Yesterday was “turbos” last day. She was 19 years old. My best friend. She was 14-15 pounds and very bossy , she was the queen of our house. Enjoy the time with her. My cat did play bite/ scratch lol. She isn’t fat lol. You can get vitamins in liquid form for her to. They are the best breed... very loyal .
I used to have 16 pound male Russian Blue cat. I adopted it when he was a baby and grew to be a very playful cat and crave for my attention. Being so playful, he gave me so many scratches on my arms. An intelligent cat. Yes he was picky with his food and only ate the one that he liked. He used to give me heart attacks at night for jumping on my chest when I was sleeping. Watching your video reminds me of him and I miss him a lot. Lots of kisses to your cat.
I have a Russian Blue too; his name is Grendel. I adopted him and he adopted me from our family vet. He is 3 years old now and approximately 18lbs of pure muscle. I think he is an Archangel hybrid due to his large size. He rules the neighborhood with a silver paw. He also growls and he comes when he is called, even if he is several houses away. I let him out because he has proven he can handle it and I want him to be happy. Besides, be plays with the chipmunks. Did you have COVID-19?
they are very loving. I have two brother Russian blue cats and a orange cat that is the Russian Blue cats sister from that same litter. your cat is so beautiful
I have a Russian Blue and he is by far the best cat I've ever had and will easily be my all time favorite pet. His name is Bluebell Twinkle and he is curled up next to me while I type this. He sleeps with me every night. I don't consider him a pet really though. He's family and one of my best friends. I wish everyone could have a friend like him. He's so awesome and I love him beyond words.
I love how when you say you’re her favourite … my 4 month Russian blue loves my mom too … but I’m his bff 🥲. They definitely choose “one” as their soulmate!
My cat is my love and my dungeon companion i got him after chemotherapy and radiation therapy many years ago and he proved to me that cat is more beautiful than a girl friend which i never had and probably if lucky will never have
I’m VERY partial to grey cats! Blues are the best breed I’ve seen for sure! They are awesome cool animals! I know! They can do super hero stuff! Do you know why your cat brings you stuff they’ve killed? They are recognizing you as the alpha! It’s the ultimate compliment/ love, a cat can express! Instead of keeping the kill for themselves they present it out of love and respect to you!. They bring you dead stuff out of love! How cool is that? They like you, they want you to survive! They want you to eat! That is love!! Nice kitty!❣️❗️👍
My quarantine buddy, my sweet barnacle, passed at 17-1/2 last month. She was the third Russian Blue in my life. She is sorely missed. I am so grateful for the extra time I had with her the past year and a half.
I just found a Russian blue for adoption. also Listening to your cat stories, your cat sounds alot like my ex gf cat that I grew attached to. She just came to take him away😞
We had a Russian Blue named Emily that looked just like her!!! Emily had a white "locket" under her chin and loved to play. Emily liked to chase (and eat) moths. It is so funny that you say that she got her head stuck in a plastic bag when she was young. Emily got her head stuck in a plastic peanut butter jar (empty) when she was little. She was going after a moth that was in there and when we found her, she was frolicking around with the jar on her head like a little astronaut trying to get it off. Russian Blues are very intelligent, personable (she always had to be with us) playful and they are hypo-allergenic. We had many fun years together. We lost Emily at 7 yrs old in 2013 to aggressive cancer........
Cool thanks so much for posting...looking for a companion now we have to quarantine ... and need one that’s not shedding a lot and can live in an apartment.
Awe she is so cute!!!! I have a Russian blue who is almost a year old now and she looks just like murka did the second clip you showed when she was a little bigger than the first kitty clip you showed. I named mine Luna, and she has a calico sister named Karma. They are best friends. Luna is the sweetest and most sensitive cat ever, and just like murka never scratched or bit me. She loves attention too, and follows me everywhere!!! Very low maintenance like you said, and I do the same of filling her bowl up just whenever she empties it, she controls her food consumption well too! Eats a lot but always is skinny, she’s always active and chasing and playing with strings and jumps crazy distances from the couch to the top of her cat tree! Russian blue is the best breed of cat ever! I love how they look grey but in other lighting have the blue glow. Awe thanks for showing us your quarantine pal, I am so grateful for my Russian blue too! She’s the most sweetest cat I ever met, and everyone who sees her thinks she is so beautiful and gorgeous like a model! Murka is gorgeous 😍
I have a Russian Blue and she is the sweetest! Incredibly loyal, wicked smart, effective huntress, and super affectionate! My kitty loves boxes also...basically anything she can get into she does. Especially when I'm not feeling well or sick she is so attentive and right there.
Hi, i like you and your cat, i have a Russian blue girl and i think is the ,, best breed ever " . She likes only raw chicken meat . Is so unfriendly with other people and so attached with her family . She also likes hunting birds outsides and jumping in different boxes insides . Is just my favourite cat ever .
Dear girl... did you just say, "Now that I am old"? You are sooo cute! I had a grey domestic short hair when I was a little girl. He got sick and died. I've wanted the "real thing" (a Russian Blue) every since. (65 years ago.)
I am thinking of getting one to adopt. It makes me nervous because I have a one cat already who likes to be outdoors especially at night. Can you teach a Russian Blue to be an indoor cat?
Yes. My RB Smokey is a 100% indoor cat. I wish he could go outside for the full cat experience but the moment he goes outside he reverts back to abandoned cat mode and it's tricky to get him back inside on his own accord
I have allergies too but am still getting my Russian Blue next week! How have your allergies been around her? I know they're supposedly more hypoallergenic than other cats.
The first two months are brutal, I have allergies too, it's mostly my eyes lids burning and itching. During those two months I was thinking of giving her back but I'm so glad I didn't. Even if I wanted to, it was already too late, I had bonded with her so there was no way I would give her back. After a while your body will get use to it and stop over reacting. To answer your question, you will still get an allergic reaction but not as bad as you would with different breeds that ain't hypoallergenic.
I have allergies but still catsit when my friends leave town - it can be really annoying for a few weeks but apart from itchy eyes and runny nose nothing bad happens, for me the symptoms get better after about 10 days and often after 3 weeks I barely think about it anymore. It gets worse when I snuggle with the little demons but nothing too dramatic overall, I always miss them when my friends come back.
My tabby is 12. There is a Russian blue [looks like] hanging out in my garage for a few days. She meows whenever I go in there, but stays on the high shelves or roof beams. So I started feeding her small amounts, and finally I got to touch her. Tonight my tabby started yelling at the hole in the floor, where she normally goes in and out. I guess the Russian tried to come in, but Nowie said no. What if I bring the Russian in, will Nowie be too upset? Should I try to adopt the Russian? Should I look for her previous owner?
Russian Blue cats don’t actually have long shedding hair as it is actually a double coat you see. If you saw them without fur you’d actually be surprised how thin they are! They don’t need much brushing due to the double fur thing I mentioned above. They are hypoallergenic too, females more so, so great for people with allergies too!
Hi! I am thinking in getting one russian blue. You have talked about your allergie, do you belive that if it was any other bread you would be more affected? I've read a lot of information about this bread doesn't affect so much people withcat allergie and since I also have allergie (not a strong one) but I still love cats (me and my family) I was hoping this should be a good decision. so, do you feel any difference to other breads with your allergie? Greetings from Portugal Manuel
I had to euthanized my 8 year old cat Sylvester, he had been sick, found these lumps on his left shoulder near his neck ,suddenly stop eating lost weight, seemed so depressed I can tell in sound of his he meowing, took him to the usual vet near my home. Few days before changing vets they just gave antidepressant for his appetite .They didn’t do the blood work at the location . So went to a different vet , I made the appointment to see the vet a week before on a Monday, saw they had a opening on Wednesday for sick pets. Told them he wasn’t eating . But they schedule it for next Monday . He got worse during the weekend suddenly became unsteady on his feet, almost as though he was dizzy, he is not able to walk on legs , I hand feed him few times , he was trying to eat on his own . Mostly licking the food few bites of food , Found him laying on the floor not able to move on Sunday morning. Made me so depressed seeing him like that I know he was in pain . Tried to make him feel comfortable placed him in a towel to warm him up he felt cold. He started moving his legs gave him water .i Sent a message to the vet . Stayed with him all day . Second vet did the blood work and a x ray. anemic blood work Look he had a mass near liver , also collapse lung some fluid X-ray. I notice a hacking cough thought it was a hair ball.
Are Russian Blues not hypoallergenic? I really want to adopt one because I have bad allergies but you said that you don’t carry her anymore because you’re allergic 😭😭😭
Russian Blues are technically hypoallergenic but that just means they produce less dander than other breeds... not necessarily none. I've noticed my allergy is worse with other breeds but I do still get a reaction when I pet or hold her
Awh sweet baby. She's lovely. I have wanted a Russian Blue so so bad for ages! I've got all my pet names sorted in my head. My Russian Blue will be called Mya. I can't wait to get her one day
Samantha Totimeh what if “Mya” is male?
Jai I’m assuming they would adopt or purchase a female cat, but yes good point lol
It’s _ Keira yeah I know lol, I was just taking the piss.
14 YEARS? I love these cats, so long living, lets vouch for 20!
Hell yeah!
Yuneko I’m pretty sure they can even live up to 25 years if treated very well.
@Alex Friedman mine was 16 >_^
my cat is a russian blue and she is 13 years old 🥰 i love her so so much and i hope she can go until 20 or 25 💞💞
I have mine 3 months old I wish she can also have a long life like yours? What's her diet?

I agree! Russian blues are the best!
I will miss Mr. Blue and he graced this earth for 13 years.,
That looks just like my cat, thing is we found our cat in the street alone when he was a kitten.
That's how I wound up with my Russian Blue cat, Smokey- somebody abandoned him at my apartment complex. He was about 3 then he's 10 now
This is weird, the same thing happened to me, he is about 9 weeks old right now, he is a very strong cat.
Me to but its a girl

Read it for yourself and do not ask a question and then offer absurd conclusions. God Help the POS.
I have a Russian Blue Girl at 6 and a half years old.
My Russian doesn’t like to be held unless She decides I have to hold her. 🙄😊
Russian Blues are the best cats!..She is a Beautiful Beast...
Indeed.
Rare breed and very very hard to find 100% pure bred.
I liked your cat
I am thinking of getting one to adopt. It makes me nervous because I have a one cat already who likes to be outdoors especially at night. Can you teach a Russian Blue to be an indoor cat?
Yes. My RB Smokey is a 100% indoor cat. I wish he could go outside for the full cat experience but the moment he goes outside he reverts back to abandoned cat mode and it's tricky to get him back inside on his own accord

Im from indonesia.. I like 👍cat russian blue,
Awesome 🐱
I want a Russian Blue kitten.
Thank you for sharing! How would you describe the grooming situation? Is she a big shedder? Do you have to use a specific comb?
Russian Blue cats don’t actually have long shedding hair as it is actually a double coat you see. If you saw them without fur you’d actually be surprised how thin they are! They don’t need much brushing due to the double fur thing I mentioned above. They are hypoallergenic too, females more so, so great for people with allergies too!
Nature's best pest controllers.
My russian blue is taking a bath too ❤️ twins!
Love tour cat, love you more.
2nd comment what do you intend and or implore?

Russian Blues are the best! I’m sorry they just are!
14 years is not really old for Russian blues. Our Russian Blue had not had any major health issues until she turned 16.

Your Russia Blue lived a long life and I just buried Felix (Russian Blue) as he graced this earth for 14 years.
SCAD! Shout out to Savannah and beautiful Murka!
Are Russian Blues not hypoallergenic? I really want to adopt one because I have bad allergies but you said that you don’t carry her anymore because you’re allergic 😭😭😭
Same ...I’m looking for one that’s good with allergies too...

Russian Blues are technically hypoallergenic but that just means they produce less dander than other breeds... not necessarily none. I've noticed my allergy is worse with other breeds but I do still get a reaction when I pet or hold her
Insert Russian blue cat jokes here......
its wild that youve had her for 14 years and 14 years is still not even on the low end of the average lifespan of a russian blue
What's the average Life Span? I have only known 1 cat in my life to live 18 years and that was Rusty.
Very cool cat I am also want a russian blue like you I have dog right now but then after my dog have died I have to Side I will have a russian blue
are these cats hypoallergenic? I read that they are- but I'm not sure what that means for cats. I have horrible cat allergies but I want one soo bad
