This is one of my favourite songs, not just of Margaret Urlich's, but ever. What a beautiful voice... I'm so saddened to hear of her passing today. RIP Margaret 😢
RIP, Margaret. One of the greatest ever. Such a beautiful and serious talent in a world full of pretenders. You will be missed but your music will live on forever.
I recently stumbled upon the world of Margaret Ulrich and I am blown away. I suppose, being from the USA, this was not mainstream but how I wish it was! What an incredible artist she is.
Oh beautiful girl.......rest in peace and pain free. Thank you for sharing your gift with all. Such fond memories of dancing to 'Number 1' in 1991 at my mate's house in Manly. I just loved chatting with you and sharing your joy of performing beautiful music after you performed at the Old Manly Boatshed in 2002. Thank you💕💕
This song is such a tour de force. Loved it as a teen growing up in Aotearoa - it was and still is a sophisticated tune, upbeat without being saccharine. Really sad to hear that Margaret Urlich has passed away so young. Big love to all on this sad occasion.
I loved Margaret Urlich, so sad to hear of her passing today, another great Australian music artist to die this month. I went to see her at a small concert venue back in the 90's, she was a great vocalist and artist. RIP Margaret, sad day today.
I fear for Australia's music industry future, when there just isn't this sort of talent around these days. You can add women like Jenny Morris into that mix as well.
So sad to hear Margaret has passed away. I listen to her music often. This song is close to being my favourite of hers. Listening to it tonight in her memory. RIP Margaret. Gone too soon.
Wow this has hit me hard...she was gorgeous fantastic body...but that voice as good as it gets.Maybe she didn't want totall stardom really not sure but she had it all...very sad.RIP Margaret.
The video clip was all filmed in Paris on the PONTE ALEXANDRA 111 BRIDGE. I was there last month I fell in love with this bridge Both sides of the bridge are adorned with black gildered gold statues and candelabra lamp posts . It is magic! I silently sang Boy in the moon on that magical bridge . RIP beautiful lady...sing with the angels forever xxx
Beautiful voice and great diction, sadly lacking in many singers today. Consummate performer on stage who put everyone at ease. Very sad to hear the news of her passing today.
Memories of Melbourne and a long lost girl in 1992 named Bridget. She gave me her number, I called it, but never got an answer. Takes me back, every time I hear it. One of my favourite songs of all time.
I saw her a couple of times in Melbourne in the early 90’s with her band at that time . She was fantastic . I think she sang this song at the 2nd concert. With Margaret this sound is what you heard. A beautiful warm singer. I am shocked more than anything that she passed away.
I have always adored this song because the video was shot in Paris on the rooftops and by the Seine, haunting. Love this song and I’m always playing the Ulrich CD as it’s an old favourite.
Great to come across MU songs in 2021. Loved them in the 80s & 90s. A kiwi girl of similar age from Auckland too in AUS. So ❤️ 2 see her if still in AUS 💖
Adore this song and the clip - both set a certain mood. I remember being in my teens listening to this song and loving this clip. I've been to Paris 3 times since. its funny to be a grown up and look back... Beaut memories xxxooo
Yes I have 2.. Chameleon Dreams Sony Music 1992... and Safety in Numbers CBS productions 1989.. The song featured in this video is from the Chameleon Dreams CD
This song has to be the best example of the disconnect between a song writer and the performer and the video maker.. Great song and great singer but weird outcome..

...and the music like this today is where? Margaret along with Kate Ceberano, Wendy Matthews, Deni Hines, it was a fantastic era.
+MartyvH Yes, it's sad that we don't really have the equivalent local 'mature' female artists these days achieving mainstream success.
MartyvH choice
Was an awesome era to grow up in..
The best!
