Saw her live at the Seymour centre in Sydney it was my first concert. It was a very small room and there wasn't many people it was such an intimate and personal show. I was probably only 14 or 15 and I think I feel in love.....
This song has been stuck in my head for days, and I haven't heard it for years, it just came into my head from out of nowhere so that's why I'm here - to feed my inner Margaret Urlich gremlin which I didn't even know I had until now.
Margaret Urlich was great! I had this album and used to listen to her music a lot. She was underrated at the time. Would have been different now. Was much harder for talented NZ Women to make it big in the music industry then. Easier now with 'social media' etc.
I remember it well. Very nostalgic in more ways than one. Notable for young people sitting in a cafeteria without having a digital device to hand. Looks a bit unusual, almost quaint, by today's norms. Ahh, the early nineties , ( fledgling www, pre social media, pre 9/11 ), the good Ol days!!
Ahh the nostalgia.. One thing, however...am I the only one who thinks this song could SO easily have been a Michael Jackson song from the same era? Take Margaret's voice away and replace it with Michael's, and you really wouldn't need to change anything else to have it sound believable.
Love this song, Margaret was a great singer, loved her tone and Beautiful classic look. R.i.p Margaret

It's never been easy for anyone! Male or female! That aside! A number of NZ women, have made a name for themselves in music over the years!!
@Esoterique There are quite a few. However easily topping the list, both at home and abroad, in recent years. Has been Lorde!
Also a hit in England in 1996 by a singer called Dinah Carroll, I remember this version in 1989 from when I lived in New Zealand
What a lady. What a talent. Such purity. Before her time.......
