Staying emotionally stable, happy and trying to succeed in this life under so much pressure is a challenge especially as he said when pretty much everything that surrounds us is toxic from food to social media. It takes a lot of decision making and self education to be able to make the right choices. Younger generation is the most vulnerable one because they are born into and raised under the influence of confusing, unfiltered, flawed social media. And most of the time they cannot tell right from wrong

Before seeing this video, I was on medication for 6 months for anxiety. I recently I got myself off the meds, stopped binging on chips (& have no more desire for it now), started taking Omega 3 & Vitamin D and going for morning & afternoon walks. I learned to do this from various sources...I'm not fully healed but I am definitely feeling ALOT better than I was 6 months ago. I thought there was something wrong with me, but this video just gave affirmation that I'm taking the right steps to heal my hardware. Thank you Dr. Amen & Tom for such an informative video!

Maybe better for you but some people need to be on meds. Like if they have hypothyroidism due to your body destroying most of it. You cannot magically heal your thyroid. Same with diabetes esp type 2. You can’t just make the pancreas produce insulin. That’s why they need to inject it because their bodies aren’t getting it.

This is amazing!! I am 100%with you dear doctor. I am a strong believer of changing the brain/mind/thoughts but people don’t want to accept the truth as they enjoy being in that negative state without making an effort. They want a quick fix- tablets. I do watch programs like this a lot and I started to put the knowledge into practice. I believe actions speak louder than words. Coming from spiritual background…meditation is the key and it helps the Holy Spirit to guide me to possess the Christ like mind! My mentally challenged sister whom we are looking after 20+ years going through bipolar/schizophrenia/psychotic today she is getting lot better because of the food and mainly the prayers. Praise God! Each time, I listen to these kind of programs my relationship with God become so meaningful. I shared this video with my children and my son who is doing medicine said that, he was glad that he did watch the video as it helped him to change his perspective about the negative thoughts. BIG Thank you to Dr. Amen and Tom. Such an insightful video. All glory to God. He is using people to spread the good news of healing the brain. 🙏

This episode was literally mind-blowing! Most of us who follow Impact Theory, more or less have an understanding and awareness of health, personal development, etc., so episodes like this, serve to validate and strengthen what we know. This type information, however, doesn’t reach the masses of people who need it most. More outreach is needed through government programs and public education. I mean, look at the menus in public schools! Kids are innocent. The interests of big corporations are placed ahead of our well-being, and a lot of education is needed so people in general make more empowered choices.

Thank you Tom & Dr. Aman. Tom, your ability to evoke questions that me, as a listener, has is incredibly appreciated. Also, hands down you are THE best interviewer I watch; follow the discussion, allow your guest to expand their thought, keep quiet as they speak, clarify concepts/slang used, identify with the topic, admit your lack of knowledge and show compassion. I look forward to every interview. Blessings to you💯

I am going to go get a library card because of the statement Daniel made about how if we want to fix our psychological health but can’t afford the clinic to go to the library and get the book. I’m excited about this because I love reading but for some reason it’s completely evaded me that I can go get a library card for free and borrow books for free to achieve incredible growth. It’s going to be like going to blockbuster but not for entertainment to keep me docile; for knowledge to promote sustainable growth in myself all around! Magnificent!

Here in 2022 and watching "Change Your Brain, Heal Your Life" on the Create Channel and it's absolutely great and informative!! Especially, the part where Dr. Amen says that we need to reframe mental illness!! I truly believe that the words "mental illness" IS the term that causes the stigma that still and sadly, exists today!! And also, shame for those who truly want to seek help, but don't because they don't want to be considered "crazy!!" To everyone going through struggle, God bless you all with strength and perseverance to heal!!❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

Look up the Walsh Method for schizophrenia. It’s not one disorder, it’s an expression of severe oxidative stress to the brain. Diet influences the brain. Gluten allergies can trigger psychosis. High dopamine can cause catatonia. Certain nutritional deficiencies can inflame the brain. Niacin can remove schizophrenic symptoms from a certain percentage of those with it.

Dear Sir I am from India, my sister was just four years old when she got sick of malaria and because of untimely detection and treatment it got serious and in a matter of days she lost her sense of response and got completely blank. Doctors told us that due to blood clot on her brain she will not be like normal person. Now it is more than ten years and sad thing is, she go through 5-6 times seizures almost every night and it is difficult to control her since she's abnormally overeating and strong. Our whole family has been affected by this tragedy. Sometimes she seems like she subconsciously reply long after we say something or do. I always believe that she can recover if she find the right doctor or therapist. To have a piece of our heart suffering everyday without even being able to speak of it is heartbreaking. Just putting it up with a hope that some expert might notice and be able to help. thank you so much if you've come this far.

Katalin Pinter - because like it or not studies show that people who swear are judged to be less intelligent and more aggressive than their non profanity using counterparts. In this particular instance, his guest is someone who is a religious person and the use of profanity would most likely offend the guest even if he doesn’t say anything about it. When you are a host, you should do your best to make your guests comfortable, not the opposite.

I wish I could get help like this. I excepted Christ when I was 17 and it was a genuine experience. However up to that time I had had a lot of Trauma and shame. Both parents were alcoholics and my dad was violent when he was drunk. He tried to kill my mom in front of us at least twice. He would come home drunk and start yelling and cussing at my mom. They’d have physical fights- throwing plates, beer bottles and whatever they could get their hands on. Constant upheaval until I was nine years old. We were put in foster homes- my first foster mother was young and had a break down and got a shot gun and tried to shoot my foster dad. The second home was emotionally abusive. I lived there 9 years. Toward the end there was when I started following Christ. But the about 5 years later I marry a narcissist and was married to him for 30 years. We divorced because he had emotional affairs with women he was supposed to be counseling.( he was a pastor). I’m still struggling and started having bad panic attacks. Have had to move 8 times since 2016 and have had numerous jobs because of my anxiety. I’m pretty sure I have PTSD too.
    My nerves are shot.
I’m struggling with my current job now too.
I really need help and I’m praying by reaching out someone can help or direct me to good help.
I’ve had really bad counselors who have hurt me more than helped.
Please don’t tell people that all they have to do is repent. I have but anxiety is something you need help with.
If you want to help - study how to be a good friend to people with anxiety or become a good counselor. Don’t give pat answers or be judgmental. Be kind and compassionate. I want to change and I want help. I just do not know who to turn to and would cherish someone’s support and compassion. Please can someone help? I watch these videos but it’s hard to get the help he talks about. I need one on one guidance. Thank you for any help you can give me. I feel lost and numb. 😞

    • @journathan
      @journathan 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Your worldview is incompatible with your environment. It's time to accept some facts.
You didn't make the decision to hurt you. They made the choice to do that. Their reasons? It doesn't matter. You had nothing to do with it. You were simply in the position for them to make that choice to you. They would have done it to anyone.
Which means good news. Because it isn't on you, you are ready to move forward.
You need to reflect and remember what used to give you passion in life. In childhood we all have something or some things to guide us onto our true paths.
My path is to become a teacher. Not the kind that lazily lectures to a bunch of bored kids. No. It'll be more hands on and experimental. Combining nature and modern math and equipment to create an immersive and fun learning environment. I'm still years away from realizing this but once my demons had been dealt with, I can see where I'll be in the future if I keep sticking to one of the many paths opened to me.
You're so close to starting the greatest journey of your life. All you need to do is figure out that first step and in time, when you've convinced yourself that you have the capacity to do all of the amazing things you put your mind to, you'll take that first step.
You might not have faith in yourself yet. That takes time. I still have moments of doubt. But I've made so many unexpected and wonderful turns in the last two years I can't help but spend most of my time believing in myself.
I have faith you'll figure it out.

This is a comment to support the addition of caption revisions to this video and videos like it. Many deaf individuals rely on captions in order to accurately confirm the exact message of the speaker, an example of a mistake in this video is at 31:05-31-9 where it states "and when I close my eyes and go well well today", this is an example where the correct phrase "and when I close my eyes and go what went well today" could result in difficulty understanding the technique or having to rewind the video multiple times in order to read the lips of Dr. Amen.

Dr. Daniel Amen is a professing Christian. It's one of the reasons I was doubly interested in his work. It was inspiring to say the least. But I was sad to find out that his services are not available to people who don't have the income for it. I did call his clinic and spoke with a very nice lady, and I was ultimately confounded because there was no way to find treatment unless I was among the wealthy. If he really is a brother, then God bless him. But... my goodness... how many people who are lower income and serious could be helped. It would make a general difference.

I got to meet him once a little over a year ago. I was so excited and had that same thought, but I was literally was so excited and I was at a loss for words when I met him and my brain couldn't get out anything I wanted it to. I never imagined something like that happening to me. I guess I have never really believed in someone like I believe in him. I think about it and wish I had another chance to just ask him questions.

I ended psychosis with subliminal messages on my player with headphones (putting music or messages on almost silent ) plus putting simultaneous a lot of video clips on you tube and in a few minutes the voices lessened and false beliefs also .

I really, REALLY needed to hear this video today. Thank you with every fibre of my being for this video. I have just purchased one of Dr. Amen's book, and have put all his other books on my Audible wishlist to purchase when I am done with my first. Thank you. I know the timing of me watching this video today is not down to coincidence.

Trauma is carried through generations and also passed lives. Using meditation and EFT I have cleared trauma from previous lives. This has impacted my health and life greatly. Also whilst working with a healer, he 'pulled' from my DNA conversations that my mother had had with my grandmother whilst she was pregnant with me.

Brilliant! There are so many things I've captured from this video, including new podcasts to listen to, new books, programs, and even a new-found host to follow and watch--Tom Bilyeu! Everything, from the show notes to topic tracking in the video, is done brilliantly. I'm so happy to review my notes and take next steps! Thank you both, Tom and Dr. Amen.

The gut is connected to the brain. For me it was bad gut bacteria that was causing severe depression. I was cured with antibiotics.

@@roashellwright I don't remember. There were three of them. Before that I had to avoid eating five foods that were causing severe depression. A Chinese doctor traced it to five foods. I told her I would have asthma attacks after eating eggs. She then said my depression was not caused by the foods but by bad gut bacteria. She said that the clue were the asthma attacks from eating eggs, which point to bad gut bacteria.

The goal of ending mental illness is also part of the goal that Maria Montessori had in her work. She witnessed the insanity of World War II and knew that we could not hope for peace and justice until people were whole and healthy. Her prepared environments were developed to work in harmony with the way humans actually learn and develop (since she was a medical doctor - and was horrified by the many ways that the educational and parenting practices of the time were in direct conflict with biological development). Mihaly Czsentimihaly has found that Montessori classrooms support FLOW - a state of optimal psychology. Adele Diamond, Angeline Lillard, and other researchers also found that Montessori activities support the development of executive functions, kindness, and positive self-regard.

There are things and experiences I too wish I had not been a part of - I miss the person I was before - but someone pointed out that was what maturing was - I am sure you are awesome and now that you know more you will take better care of yourself 🙂

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that there are a few issues that have to do with nutrition that can result in anxiety! For example, hormone imbalances, caffeine consumption, food sensitivities, and nutritional deficiencies (like with magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin B6, serine, choline, copper, chromium, selenium, and zinc), can all lead to anxiety!

By far the best way to end mental illness. Would be to teach our young how to stop the emotion that lives in the pit of their stomach from being able to rise up and enter into their brain. As by doing so we would actually be denying those troublesome emotion (what we call our ‘Demons’) from being able to make our lives a living hell as they do now.

I can completely relate! I’ve recently felt the connection between the gastrointestinal system and the brain as I’ve had gi issues for 15+ years. No wonder I’ve experienced so much depression! My goal is to be on no pharmaceuticals, but I just started a new antidepressant. I know God has a plan, though, and has guided me to different holistic health practitioners who have helped me immensely. I continue to pray for healing and have hope for a better future! Blessings to you as you are being healed!! Jesus is our great healer! ☝🏼
