As soon as I saw Yasmin watching Rob scratch that lottery ticket.. I was like there is NO WAY she is choosing him.. She wont choose a man that hopes for an outcome.. she is going to choose the people that control the outcome... As for Harper, I think she backs Petra because its the " right " path.. its the path that proves shes not a psychopath like everyone says.. but I think she had a Joker moment where she accepts herself and how she does business. Harper takes risk and bets on known outcomes, shes tough and plays dirty... she cant stay partners with Petra. I think the realization of a weekly team meeting..lol sent her over the edge.
yup, Rob scratching lottery tickets. Equally telling was Yas watching the lady cramped in the car, with kids fighting in the backseat...Yas knew she could never
@OneMike I think Harper wanted to "try out" partnership and loyalty. She had to find her own version of doing the right thing while still staying true to herself.
I think Yasmin was a victim too. She was put in a situation where she had to take the rep for her father's escapades and face public humiliation. Henry's family was offering her protection from that. As you as say relationships in that upper class world was for a functionality and not love. She discussed that with Henry when he asked her if she loved him. I think she put Robert and herself in a win/win situation at the end. He got funding from Henry and left knowing he couldn't fully fullfill Yasmin's needs. Yes Yasmin needs the lifestyle too and probably can fit in to that easily but probably won't be happy. She needs the wealth that she was so used to growing up.
Also, I feel she thought she needed a baby from Rob, not Henry and maybe, she needed to do it with Rob just to feel like she has won because Rob did what most men in her life fail to do - turn her down. At this point, I do understand the position from where she is coming from but they should never get back together. Ever.
The continuity was off. A lot of time presumably passed but it appeared Eric had not moved forward. Seemed like it was the next day vs months down the road for Rob and Yaz.
I thought the hug between Yasmine and Henry's uncle was because he TRULY knew the nature of her father was.. and potentially knowing that she herself was sa/molestation victim of her father.
What did not go lost for me in that scene where Harper rejects hiring Rishi is the fact that she realized that she effectively got fcuuked twice by Rishi on Rishi’s wedding day. Once in the bathroom where he had to ‘release toxins’ (so cruel & heartless) and secondly later that same day when he and Eric agreed that she should be thrown out of the firm. That scene was a wonderful fcuuk you too moment from Harper back to Rishi and I loved it. New subscriber 🙏🏾

I’m a sap so I cried twice during the series. The first when yas and rob were at the table and he says I understand and yas at the end of the show before she fires her secretary
As far as Petra and Harper I think that was Otto’s call. Otto as the first big investor in Leviathan was going to keep that fund in existence and let Petra keep running it as a fund that does not take part in any illegal activity. Harper is going to get her own fund to run funded by Otto that will be trying to get inside information to trade on. Otto probably told Harper to leave Petra alone because he needs legal businesses for cover while he is going to be breaking the law with Harper.
IDK … I think that’s what will happen, but I’m not sure that was the intent at the time because the timelines don’t add up. And Otto surely wasn’t expecting Harper to come to him because when she did, he said something like “I don’t usually let people walk away from me twice.” Made me think that her proposal for her own fund was a surprise to him, and your comment seems to suggest it was planned.
@@OneMike It was a little confusing. He gave her the heads up about Petra, but I think Harper appreciated the fact that Petra wasn’t trying to separate from her, she just wanted to play by the rules and get her back in line. Because of that, she backed away from Otto with Petra to leave her safe and away from trouble, while planning her own exit. Petra showed loyalty to Harper, so Harper showed loyalty in return. Which is also why she crushed Rishi. When he initially contacted her, he said he was taking Anraj and Sweetpea with him; they were a package deal. When she said she couldn’t afford all three, she was testing him. She gave him an opportunity to show that he had grown. Instead, he proved to still be a selfish person and threw the other two under the bus, the same way Eric told him that Harper was being cut out. Remember when she tried to get Sweetpea to share knowledge about Pierpoint? She didn’t do it out of loyalty to her employer. Harper remembered that. She’s smart and loyal to her team, even in the face of selfish gain. Harper is a world killer and definitely has sociopathic tendencies, but she does look out for people who are playing fair.

Yasmin is a VERY well-written character. Since Season 1, there's always been that push & pull between her A - wanting to fit in with normal working ppl at her company and B - living the princess lifestyle outside of work on her own terms. Her father was a terrible person, but her world fell apart when trying to dig deep into his personal life while then confronting him about it in the most entitled and naive way as if she lived the life of a saint...in Season 2....which is when he started doing even more terrible things to spite her.
