Would Popcorn for Dinner consider having this team cover Slow Horses? Because of the talent connected with that show, it might deserve the thorough preparation and thought that Bankole brings
You all are doing the best job of breaking down Industry and appreciating its subtleties, you're my favorite hot take for each episode. This finale really felt like it was written in case they weren't renewed. It's a completely legit ending for all the characters. My only quibble is the way the "bad day" turns out (no spoilers). I would have preferred that what happens is only implied, rather than literal. That storyline is so grim that it deserved a uniquely grim ending, something less resolved and more haunting.
@@popcornfordinnerpodcast Sure thing! And my criticism was about for that one violent choice on the show, not your podcast-- in terms of the Rishi plotline. Like I said, I really like how you guys approach Industry and listening to each other while you talk-- something of a rarity even though all podcasts supposedly have people talking to each other.

My god I knew from the moment on the pier that Yasmin was going to end up ripping out Rob’s heart. But it was the healthiest thing for HIM. She is a train wreck, her father did absolutely too much damage to that girl. Tragedy and romance, chefs kiss. But man I was about ready to cry into my hands
It was beautifully done, the whole thing. It was obvious from the beginning that she would never choose Rob. And he fully understood and accepted it, heartbroken as he was. THAT, folks, is what it means to love someone.
I think the pills gave her clarity. It may just be the placebo effect but she seemed tonawaken after that. Yasmin was never going to end up with Rob. The connnection with Henry and his family was already established. They speak the same language from their oatmeal sweaters, the wine choice and the need to claw themselves back after disaster. I was happy she set Rob free. She acknowledged her emotion and their deep connection but the relationship would have never worked. Plus, in Henry's uncle she finds the thing she always needed....a real father.
I think it's genuine. He has that old school paternalistic attitude. He relishes his role as the powerful protector in contrast to Yasmins predator father. The show confirmed the awful thing we always knew about Yasmins father. But she could never stomach being unprotected and being a nobody. When the publishing woman questioned her remaining connections....it sealed the deal.
@@popcornfordinnerpodcast I'm a little worried she might have gotten preggers by Rob? Or would that be just too soapy? She makes a perfect Lady Muck tho! I liked Lord Tabloid (Norton) and I hope he is authentic!

I totally agree with the perspective of Yas seeing the family in the car at the gas station as normalcy, as well as Rob playing the scratch off tickets, and its effect on Yas's decision making. Yas is not having any parts of a middle to upper class paycheck or life. That freaked her out for sure! Her father had to supply the dopamine hit of assuring Yas that they have money for generations to come, which instantly eased Yas. Yas walked into that mega castle and made her jokes about Henry not having the space to house her and Robert, meanwhile planning how to tether herself to this lifestyle. Now she will be all alone in that mega castle with no real support and only her thoughts. Really sad. And to confirm, through the tearful embrace, that her father was molesting her as a child, even more sad. When it ended I was like "WAIt a Minute, Is Industry done???" I kinda wish they really over reacted Yasmin’s character in that gas station scene. It would have been the cherry on top if they made Yasmin’s character vomit after watching the average mom and kid and scratch off scene. Kinda like Glen Close in Fatal Attraction when she was stalking the family of her ex lover and saw them in a sweet moment and she just vomits, lol. I kinda wished they just made Yasmin start vomiting after watching Rob play some scratch offs. Like any type of normalcy she just disgusted. Imagine Rob just going to Cinnabon or suggested to eat at the mall’s food court she just vomits lol. You know what, I hate to say this and I’m not a fan of Harper but the sociopath Harper is right Yasmin is useless, lol. 😂

We always know what we'll be discussing and the lead hosts always has a structure in place but we also try to leave a lot of room for freedom so that the thoughts and reactions to these thoughts are entirely organic. We think it's better for the audience to be with us on the journey (and our thought processes) than for you to hear an essentially scripted discussion. Does it come across as meandering to you?
@@popcornfordinnerpodcast -thanks for the response. Sometimes it seems like you are going over the same things or meandering as you said, but as this is organic and not scripted, that must be expected. My impatience is my problem- not yours! lol
don't know why this is all crossed out
Hate those good ole boyz clubs!!!!
Patricide?🤣. You classically trained guys and your tailoring...
I kinda wish they really over reacted Yasmin’s character in that gas station scene. 😂
Didn’t this feel like a series finale? There was a lot of closure in this episode. With Pierpoint dead and the crew scattered to the wind, what’s left to tell in a season 4?
