    I can't believe that after Liverpool's 2005 historic victory over Milan in Istanbul, the club are slowly become the real contenders to win the Premier League. In 2007 and 2008, Liverpool are so close to face Manchester United in the Champions League Final, even though they had relatively average Premier League campaign for those occasions than Alex Ferguson's side. After the historic Double in 2008, both teams are looking for the Premier League title, at which Liverpool managed to beat Manchester United twice before they dropped a vital points (albeit not with a single defeat in the last 8 league games) and allowing Ferguson's side to retain the league title (and matching the Liverpool's number of league titles at that time).
    Now, Manchester United are still had 21 league titles, but the last one came in 2013, the last Ferguson's year as a manager. In 2020, Liverpool made it 19th with Jurgen Klopp after so many closes to win, including the infamous Steven Gerrard's mishap in 2014 against Chelsea.

      Man Utd 13 PL Titles and 7 Div1 Titles so on paper an technical 13 times not 20 it is two different
      competitions Still a great Honours and achievements Founded in 1888 as the Football League, it is the oldest football league in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 20 clubs split from it to form the Premier League.So Liverpool hold the most from Div 1 with 18 Titles only 1 PL Man Utd hold 7 Div 1 but 13 PL
      My team they hold the distinction of being reigning League champions for the longest time (20 years, alongside Manchester United),
      They have scored and conceded more top flight goals than any other club
      have played in more top flight seasons than any other club.
      were the first English club to appear in European competitions five seasons running
      And they won the FA cup 1995
      And it's Everton,
      Everton F.C.
      We're by far the greatest team,

    There are so many eerie similarities between Liverpool back then and United now, you would almost think they script this. The same stuff they are saying how United right now, they were saying about Liverpool back then in this video. "Don't have match winners, lack quality players, they've spent nearly 200m, bottle the big games" etc etc. They even compared big game records, they called it the 'grand slam' back then but now it's called the 'top 6'. Looks like United in for a similar drought like Liverpool. Already been 10 years, gonna be at least another 10 with the way the club is run.

    • @oldschool8330
      @oldschool8330 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Liverpool spent hardly anything compared to Utd, what are you on about! That 200 million was over many many years, not one season.

    • @Nightopian1982
      @Nightopian1982 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@oldschool8330I think what they meant is that it's similar, relative to the period in time. Of course transfer amounts are higher, look how much more expensive transfers are nowadays! We've got City and PSG to thank for that. Unfortunately United just seem to panic buy and spend way more than players are worth. Fucking Glazers. Sorry, but there are similarities between United now and Liverpool throughout the 90s/00s. Football domination runs in phases. City's will come to an end sooner or later. Sooner hopefully. At least United and Liverpool have a real history of success.

    Manchester United are living through the 2000s era of Liverpool, 10 years since dominating the English game and in those 10 years no trophies of any significance and seemingly no end in sight.

    • @Azog150
      @Azog150 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      United wish they were living through Liverpool's 2000's era.
      Liverpool's 2000s trophy-haul:
      1x Champions League (Plus one other Champions League final)
      1x UEFA Cup
      2x FA Cup
      2x League Cup
      2x UEFA Super Cup
      Also Liverpool got within 4 points of winning the league in 2009.
      Man Utd's post-Ferugson trophy-haul:
      1x UEFA Cup/Europa League
      1x FA Cup
      2x League Cup
      Man Utd have been runners-up twice in the last ten years, - once by 20 points and once by 12 points.
      United are more akin to Liverpool's 90s era.

    • @Azog150
      @Azog150 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@sachinpatodia4593 Man Utd were relegated in the 1970s. Your bad eras have been much worse. Manchester United have been relegated 5 times in their history, compared to 3 for Liverpool.
      Liverpools Golden Era was the 60s, 70s, and 80s - especially the 9 years under Paisley (6 League titles and 3 European Cups - Alex Ferguson could only manage 2 European Cups in 27 years...).
      If you take the 27 years from Shanklys first title as manager at Liverpool in 1964, up until 1991 when Liverpool declined, LFC won:
      13 League titles
      4 European Cups
      4 UEFA Cups
      5 FA Cups
      4 League Cups.
      That compares to Alex Fergusons 27 years as manager (i.e. Man Utd's Golden Age) when United won:
      13 League titles
      2 European Cups
      4 FA Cups
      4 League Cups
      Manchester Utd have only had 3 title winning managers in their entire history. If you remove those 3 title winning managers, Manchester United have been average at best. Liverpool have had 9 different title winning managers. Quite simply, Liverpool have been more consistently successful throughout their history than Manchester United.
      Your main problem is you think football was invented in 1990 by Premier League.

Of course Man U have Varane, VDB, Casemiro but Glazenomics 💵 🤣🤣 they wanna sell 'em. I know this a Liverpool channel but Torres, Mascherano, Alonso, Hypia as a spine scared me. I think if Fergie wasn't scaring/bribing refs and they got rid off Reina who flapped a lot, Liverpool would have won the league then.

      Keane wasn't in this era and he was a dirty thuggish violent player like Cantona destroying people's careers with ill-intentioned injuries. He was in 2005 and prior to that like Neville for example although Neville had a longer career and much more respectable honest soccer player. But other than that I agree the force was tenacious with old Man Utd 16 years ago. Now it's a circus show with bad managers and inconsistent players. Erik Ten Hag is a clown and most of the so called talent is just pure rubbish. We haven't been good for the last 10 years. And I wouldn't be too quick to give compliments to players like Tevez I knew he was a rat and a snake willing to sellout and sacrifice his integrity to our fierce rivals City. But still scored a good goal thanks to Berbatov. So props for that.

    Berbatov shot at Skrtel hands at the exact first minute should of been an obvious penalty he basically blocked his attempt. Van Der Sar with a horrendous mistake. It was an even match I didn't feel like one team was better than the other. But I'm disappointed as a Man Utd fan seeing us lose an important match. 4-3-3 usually doesn't work no wingers or anything. Poor tactics by Alex Ferguson. First goal was beautiful but almost no threat after that. Rooney had an extremely bad match usually just complicating things way too much in the forward line. Defending was not good. It was funny how Berbatov & Keane had just left Tottenham for their favorite clubs. They were an incredibly effective duo at Tottenham. Two of the best strikers ever.

But it would be unfair to just blame the tourists. We have the same season-ticket holders in the same seats today as in 2007/2008 - just they're now 15 years older.
      Meanwhile, the youth are shut out due to extortionate prices and the difficulty of competing with a global fan base willing to pay ridiculous money for their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Anfield. We have lost out on a whole generation of regular match-going fans.
