You've explained it very well. As a Muslim, this era is very controversial in our history and sometimes it gets overwhelmed but watching your short video on this made it simpler to understand. You told everything on point and with simplicity 👍♥️

Lots mistakes in the documentary. His studies are based on fiction from Shia schools of thought .

It is very interesting why we don't discuss the various Caliphates as a form of Imperialism and/or Colonialism. In many ways, these colonial escapades and subsequent expansion have served as a foundation for the struggles we see today in the MENA region.

If the caliphates are a form of colonialism, then every empire under the sun was a form of colonialism

@@rugbyrob then what empire/polity was NOT a form of colonialism

Not many come to mind. Especially when native people are converted, removed from their land and/or culturally required to adopt the ways of the empire (like, say North Africa).

You might be interested in the scholarship of Robert Spencer and others who show that Muhammad never lived, Mecca was not a town at the right time in history and that the Rashiduns and Umayyads were Nestorian Christians.

@@MAYONNAISEMOOSEbut do you have any evidence to prove that assertion? Robert Spencer has lots of evidence to prove Muhammad never lived.

If mosques are to face mecca why are the oldest mosques ever found face towards Petra, not mecca?

Mosques did not start pointing toward Mecca until the mid-8th century. Also, there is no historical evidence, none at all, for existence of the Rashadun Caliphs.

False: Muhammad (Peace be upon them) was never the "Founder of Islam". That's literally the Number-1 Misconception about al-Islam, predicated upon Islamophobia. al-Islam predates the Revelation of The Qur'an...Adam: the Progenitor/Patriarch-Of-Humanity (Peace be upon them) was the 1st Muslim-Human.

the Ummayids were Arian Christians. Islam was created later, by the Abbasids. Jacob is merely repeating the Standard Islamic Narrative, which is a fabrication.
