i tried following this tutorial and at 1:57 whenever i tried this the background (like the 4 "corners" of the image) wouldn't go away so i just used the wand tool to remove it :P

Yeah for some reason the top right and both bottom corners are connected but the top left one isn't so if you try to select all of them it sometimes doesn't work.

I used an exacto knife to cut out the circles, but you could also maybe use scissors and a hole puncher though that would be more difficult.

can confirm it is much more difficult (the hole puncher was too big so I used scissors for everything)

The size of the clock faces are approx 3/4 inch or almost 2cm, so maybe try to look for a hole punch of that size

Yeah, generally inserts will slow down the puzzle a little bit, however you can make the turning faster by enlarging holes that the pins go through to ensure that the pins don't rub against the paper.

The pins are fine, it's just the dials that turn slower

@@sailE_gnohC yes, but the pins rotate when you turn the dials, and if the holes for the pins are too small, the pins will rub against the hole when you turn the dials

I don't think so. At first when I was searching for a template I found one for a lingao clock, and it did not work for the qiyi, so the qiyi one most likely won't work for the lingao. You can probably find a template somewhere though.

@@ethanyay39 thanks! maybe i can find some way of combining them both with the pixlr program you used, so that is has the dial indications of the qiyi (because they're so much better than the lingao template ones), but has the shape of the lingao template so it can actually fit.
