    My MIL threw tantrums when my husband worked in kitchen with me. We both are earning and work together in home also. In my MIL's home men are not supposed to work in kitchen, and now her husband and other son are so spoiled that they both can't live without any women tking care of them daily. And now because she thinks she is old (early 60s) I am expected to become that free caretaker in her place. I am happy that my husband has been living in hostels, away from parents (for studies), he is not spoiled, but his brother is spoiled, jobless and demands everything from everyone.

    You are absolutely right Sir,
    Most of the parents haven't learnt parenting.
    For them parenting is only putting children to big schools and see how well they run in rat race.
    Even the well educated parents are not aware of the term 'personality'.
    They don't have any idea of developing the child's personality.
    They forcefully open the petals and then blame the child for not blossoming according to their expectations ,despite of their sacrifices.
    You are doing a great job Sir,
    Thank you,
    Our best regards to you Sir.

    Children learn to walk only by falling. But, parents nowadays put their kids in Baby Walkers, to avoid falling and then keeps complaining about their lack of creativity and talent inherited from them.
    What you do is what you get. Nice point of view from Amitji regarding poor parenting and improper nurturing leading to under nourished and reduced clarity in kids.

    Being on the receiving end as a child, i 100 percent agree that children of such parents are taking stupid decision later in life and has lot of resentment.

  • @srishtishetty8578
    @srishtishetty8578 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I had an upbringing like this. My parents took most of the decisions in my life and I leaned on them for their approval and opinion. Whenever things went wrong, I could easily blame them. But this resulted in lack of confidence while growing up, not being able to take even small decisions in life and selecting wrong people in close relationships.
    It took me several years and mistakes in life to realize who I really was and what I really want from life. I''m a late bloomer, but I'm happy that I'm figuring out stuff for myself.

    My parents never supported me when I wanted to start my own business 😢 as my father was asking questions that 1st i need to get the confidence on him that i can do.... But still I started my own business as at one point in my life i realised that my father is so negative that he just made me feel like I am nothing in my family from my childhood & he always told me I was useless...but I won many awards not even one he congratulated me but if the same my sister would have achieved his behaviour would have been the opposite

    A lot of our parents had a very hard life and they were busy surviving. They had to take action and achieve things because they had to and there was simply no other way. My parents are like that too and they always have good intentions while giving me any advice but sometimes they're wrong. I learnt a lot of things on the internet which should have come from my parents but I will never blame them. I'll try to learn as much as I can and If I ever have a kid I'll try to remember all these things and be a better role model to them

    Yes, truely agree and fortunately we being a parent never said NO to very small matters to children and the result is they are very supporting morally and financially to us with great sense of responsibility and even they don't want to go abroad like others for this reason. They feel living together is win win situation.
