- If you're facing CPU performance isues consider turning off Physics settings:
(Graphics dismemberment, Copses Physics, Diverse Enemy Animations and Persistent Corpses)
- If the game crashes, decrease the VVram usage by lowering Textures, Shadows and disable Ray Tracing
i am having no problems except the 5-6 second stuttering every 3 mins, its a literal bug. My vram is literally far from full yet the same thing.
Dude I hope you know that you are an absolutely invaluable resource to so many of us. I feel like I've finally found the channel I can trust to give me optimized recommendations that fit within my belief of what an ideal gaming experience should feel and look like.
I'm EXTREMELY picky about having a _smooth_ experience in games, especially considering the multi-thousand dollar investment that a high-end gaming PC is, and you're the *only* benchmarking channel I turn to now when first optimizing a game's performance.
You are knowledgeable, consistently quick to upload around new releases, show phenomenal finesse in demonstrating effects (both singularly and in side-by-side comparisons), and most importantly: you are unwaveringly practical in your recommendations.
You make my dollars go further and my ideal experience easier and quicker to attain, which in turn allows me to spend less of my limited time tinkering with settings and more of it actually playing the games I love.
For all of that, I simply cannot thank you enough. I sincerely hope that you find every bit of success you're looking for with your channel and more.

@Salt Maker why do you miss people you don't know discovering by themselves the best graphic settings for they game? it's their game, just let people do the fuck they want with it, wtf.
Thank you for making this video. I was having trouble with huge slowdowns in villa where you fight alongside Luis since there are alot of enemies spawning all at once. FPS got to as low as 30-40 from my usual 60. And the cutscene went as low as 20. But once I disabled the hair strands, my performance skyrocketed and it maintained a stable 50-60 both in gameplay and the cutscene.
My absolute favorite benchmarking optimization channel! Keep up the great work!
The most demanding areas in the game are the village fight at the start of the game, and the return to it at night in chapter 5. What helps the most is having ray-tracing and the four physics settings disabled since it's clearly CPU bottlenecked at both points, but even then it only helps to reduce the impact and doesn't fix it entirely. Having those same settings disabled also helps in some other places as well, mostly where there's a lot of enemies at once.

i remember watching hardwareunboxed's opmization videos to get 60 fps on red dead 2. assassin creed odyssey and watch dogs region. they no longer make optimization videos because it takes emormous time and efforts to do such a video. now u do these hard work. thanks

Recently got re 4 remake on my gtx 1650 laptop. Even after reducing textures, shadows and implementing fsr, my game was stuttering alot and it looked bad. After using your settings it works like a charm! I can actually play using high textures, just had to lower some visual settings and the game still looks and performs well without any stutters. Thanks for your guides!

What a fantastic video. Keep up the good work. Only thing i would recommend is that you try and get these out within a day or two of the release. Im already 14 hours in lol
I've noticed some settings seem to be more cpu taxing than gpu taxing. I realized this because my desktop and laptop gpus are very similar but my desktop has a way better cpu. Some situations on my laptop would tank the fps into the 40s and the gpu usage would be around 60%.
I'm not sure which settings have the worst impact but my best guesses are dynamic dismemberment and corpse count. I suspect high particle quality has an impact too because it was losing the most performance in the rain before I turned it down.
