Just pulled the trigger on a large tall in field tan. I’m 6’3” and I tried on the standard version and it was a little short so hopefully this one will work better for me.

All what you said about Filson and flint and tinder only applies if you live in America, I’m from the uk and bought both the flint and tinder waxed lined trucker and the Filson short lined cruiser, the Filson at £360 was delivered in 2 days but the flint and tinder at £260 and import charges of £105 took a little over a week to be delivered. Both jackets are great and if you live in the uk I’d say go for the Filson but if you live in America I’d stick with the flint and tinder.

Is this jacket you are reviewing here the Field Tan? Does it darken to this shade pretty quick?

This one is Forrest. Most tan waxed jackets will darken over time, but that’s year 2 or 3 after a lot of wear and re-waxing.

I didn't hear you say how long you've had this jacket, it looks a little lighter than the filson jacket.

I own both. The Filson uses tin cloth which is around a 15 ounces per square yard; versus a 7 ounce cloth on the Flint & Tinder. The Filson is obviously heavier and less susceptible to abrasion tears, etc.

The Flint and Tinder canvas is sourced from New Jersey, not UK..at least now.

Filson is now overseas, but their prices are not. lol
