A thing that wasn't mentioned that's pretty important is multi-hits. When doing those, between every hit, you need to make sure the hitboxes are 'refreshed', so they can hit the same target for each hit. It's in the comments, but it's fairly easy to miss if you don't see it first!

i dont know whats the issue, but at minute 2:25 when i try to hit publish all, the buttons to do so are dissabled, the folders were made correctly and the paths were introduced in the "add new folder" part but the button dosnt let me export it for testing :/
No worries! Glad you were able to solve the issue. Unfortunately with fraytools receiving new updates, and everyones issues being unique, it's hard for me to usually pin down exact solutions for most people. @@Tenzalt

I think it's pretty cool that Fraymakers is allowing custom characters, and I like how the game has its own editor. However, this does make me a little scared for Rivals. I've only recently begun making custom content for rivals, and if that community dies in favor of a newer one, I don't know what I'll do.
I think rivals will only die if rivals 2 ends up being better in every way (and that doesnt have a release date yet). For now i think theres just 2 communities (ill be it alot of people are in both)

I’m stuck at the end of the file setup section. I did everything in the video but I did not have a custom folder so I made it with the same name his has. Then I did everything else that followed but when I copied the path into build1, the publish all button stayed greyed out. Does anybody know a fix?

Mostly likely it's an issue with your ReasourceID, if theres instances in your scripts or your entity that have the old "charactertemplate" as your reasourceID, and you changed the one in the manifest.json, it'll crash when you try to load the character.
Hey. Once I went to test the mod on Fraymakers near the start. I found that the uploaded mod showed up but didn't seem to contain anything, and cannot be played.
one big issue ive come across on trying to get the character to even be read is that once I made a custom folder (and I followed all the previous steps) now fraymakers sright up wont open, it keeps closing before the title screen even shows up

maybe you need to set the audio to only play once because if you dont then the sound would play every frame, other than that maybe the line for playing the audio is spelt wrong or youre using the wrong type of audio (mp3, mp4 etc)
About the character sprites. What can be done about the sprite models that have colored backgrounds? Like I was working on doing a Jenny XJ9 and Danny Phantom mod for the game. Only confusion im getting is sprite sizes and how to zoom out within the fraytools application
I am having issues publishing, I have triple checked every ID and line of code, looked at the comments and none of them line up; the Publish all button remains darkened. To my knowledge I have followed the instructions to a tee and my file location perfectly lines up with the tutorial aside from the file name containing the files. Does anyone know how to remedy this?
That is odd, have you tried publishing the file with 0 changes to a template character and seeing if it works? if so, you can work from their to see what the issue may be

Custom characters have the potential to make or break the game for me so I am very hopeful for the community 😊

In your animations, make a frame script layer and in it type:

There's no limit, you can resize images in the editor, I mean, someone made King Dedede, and he was straight up just a 3D model turned 2D!
