- Bluing steel with heat was a technique to color the metal but also to see the temperature from the color when the thermocameras did not yet exist.
It seemed like an interesting topic to me, so here's a video.
Hope you like it. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Did you know about this ? When did you use this technique and for what ? Let me know in the comments :-)
Se podría hacer en material de aluminio?
Can you think of an easy way to use this method on a hundred tiny screws?
I understood Black Body Radiation concept after seeing how steel's color changes in your video. Thanks for the video
That's great. I am glad you enjoyed it
This is not Because of black body radiation it is because of oxidation of metal.
"I will heat it with fire nothing special." My friend 🔥 is super special imo lol
This is awesome information. I did this to my gun’s barrel after I stripped the blueing off and now I have a purple barrel
Happy that u have purple guns now ;p
Wouldn't that ruin the heat treatment for the barrel and lead to the rifling wearing out faster?
It is so cool how heating different materials can affect their color! Thank you for the great video!
Cool video. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply
Very interesting my friend...
Thanks
hi, how do you manage to keep the blue color vibrant over time? thank you
A bit of oil so it's not oxidating
Can i use Autosol metal polish after doing this to prevent oxidating ?
A bit of oil it's fine. No polish.. You remove it. Maybe wax
@@RobytheFlorentine thanks you
I like your accent it's soothing, I'm guessing you're russian, IDK just curious?
Not Russian but Italian
@@RobytheFlorentine mama Mia I'm so sorry
No problem at all
Ciao amico , comprato anche io la stessa termo camera -
Hi friend, I also bought the same thermal chamber
Ottima scelta
kool
thx black body radiation topic is know crystal clear
Nice bro..just you should have explaon more on minutes to heat to get the ckrs
Non next time, :-)
How to get original colour again?
Sandpaper
i am actually learning this due to studying blackbody radiation.
who actually come after learning Wein's displacement Law (In Black Body Radiation).
This is not because of black body radiation guys this is because of oxidation of metal
Good you pixelated when you fingured. 😂
Ahahha thanks for noticing
I burst out laughing when I saw that
