    As an introvert, I don't think I need to learn how to enjoy alone time-what I need to learn is how to enjoy being with people.
    I go between feeling anxious or bored, and I never seam to be having the great time everyone else is having.

    I really needed this video after recently ending a long term relationship. Learning to be by yourself is hard and something I'm working on enjoying. Thank you x

      Molly 💛 it is so hard and I depended a lot on my friends over that period of time. Upping the self care is essential but I also know that simmering in sadness and just feeling it all is a part of the process too. Now on the other side, I can guarantee that spending time on your own will eventually feel really lovely and healing, but it’s totally understandable that it doesn’t feel like that right now. I send you all my love and the biggest of hugs.

    I feel like im in the same process as you Nina, in the sense that i loooove my alone time! I consider it as much a relationship as all the other ones in my life. It took me a loong time to get here and here are some things that helped me: moving my body, especially in the moments that you feel bad. Going for a walk can help so much. Getting out of your head and in touch with your body is so necesary. And also: not setting high expectations on yourself. Take small steps. And allow yourself to feel bad or to change the plan. Its not a contest. And for me the one that i come back to everytime: feel your feelings 💜

    Your channel is such a safe space Nina, and has always been. Thank you for bringing so much light and self love content to this platform. You really do a beautiful work of helping others while sharing your way of living. I just feel better everytime I watch your videos, more calm, and also it always helps me to take a step back, so yeah, thanks ! I feel very aligned with your way of seeing things.

    I enjoy my alone time to explore new places, try new experiences and sometimes make a new interesting acquaintance. I am married and manage a large team at work so getting away from it all alone when I can feels luxurious. I notice that many people are so into themselves and their phones that they seldom notice anything around them which is sad. I take the alone opportunity to catch the nuances and complexities of this beautiful world.

    The best thing from time alone is to really know what makes you happy, with compromising and trying to make others happy

    one of the biggest revelations i have received this year is that loving yourself and as a result taking care of yourself and doing things for yourself doesn't actually work, its the opposite that does.
    doing things for yourself and investing time in yourself leads to self love.
    i love love love your content and adore you , God bless you)

    • @nina.montagne
      @nina.montagne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Muriel! I hope taking it slow and doing some really nice for yourself alleviates the loneliness. At my most lonely, living in NZ where I knew no one, I committed to doing one thing on my own outside of the house. It was usually the cinema, and now, as I said in the video, has become such a special ritual that I rarely ask people to come with me to watch a movie. I send you the biggest hug 💘

    I just got out of a 4 year relationship and I have to re-learn to do everything on my own and it's so challenging but so important. Thanks for sharing this video ! We all have those periods of solitude (voluntarily or not) and it's important to normalize them.

    This was so helpful and I so agree with the idea of seasons of life as being more or less social as someone who has never been able to decide whether I'm introverted or extraverted. I was wondering if you ever did a video on the struggles of moving abroad and not knowing anyone as I may be in this position next year and would love your thoughts!!

    Okay, I just had a big operation, which means I am immobile for 2 months. Stuck at home. This came on top of a lonely / alone 4 years. So I can't describe how much I needed this video. Thank you, Nina.

    this is such a sweet, sweet video. i also share the sentiment of not wanting to wait for someone else to accompany me. it feels like such a waste of life to have to wait for someone to come do things with me. there will be so much of the world left unexplored.

    Hi! ❤️ This video felt so good to watch
    I practice alone activities in a very natural way and is something that life made me learn. People judge like:" why go out spend money to eat out just for you" for example, but it's just the beauty to do things on my time and on my rythm. Gives peace
