I can relate to what you said about having pastries for breakfast.. recently I’ve been waking up early to walk to the local donut shop and get apple fritter and chai for breakfast, which was something that I NEVER thought was possible due to my ed/ past relationship with food. you casually talking about how it feels like a holiday and your journey made me tear up a little bit, feels like a warm hug... Thank you for being you!

Lebanese here! You did such a good job recreating our breakfast! We usually put a bunch of lemon in the actual foul itself as well as olive oil and more olive oil on top as you did at the end, and no tahini or cumin (that’s more common in Egypt, but they don’t use chickpeas). That version gives the tahini version a run for its money for sure!

Me watching this trying to motivate myself to go get some avocados and have some brunch. Also I totally get what you mean with the oatmeal thing. I go through phases with my foods. A year or so ago I wanted sweet oatmeal for breakfast alll the time, and now I only want savoury foods in the morning!!

I literally just had "ful" for breakfast before watching this video (فول in Arabic)! We make it every Friday in my home :)
It's known in Lebanese/Egyptian cuisine the most, but you can find it in almost all Middle Eastern countries in one way or another (some people have it for dinner as well).

I ate the same damn oat porridge every single morning for at least 4 years due to my eating disorder. I have now been enjoying different porridge (buckwheat, millet, tsampa), smoothie bowls and even savoury breakfast like toasts and chickpea scrambles. It is so freeing to be able to just eat whatever I feel like

Oh it is! I’m so proud of you 🥺💖 I know it’s not an easy process but I’m so happy you’re on the other side. It is so liberating being to eat whatever and swiftly move on!

Definitely heat up Oh My Days pastries in the oven as I think the way they store them makes them stale. But after a bit of time in the oven they get crispy, shattery and moist… delicious!

I do that with foods. For me it was recently the kite hill almond yogurt with granola and fruit. I’d been eating it everyday for like 3 months and I just stopped. I was like it’s time for a tofu scramble.

    Acts 2:38-9
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
God bless, Repent and seek Christ. He will heal you if you let Him❤️
