Yes! I was at the front row of this show! Finally I got to see Morbid Angel… well, at least 50% of the original Morbid Angel. I loved every minute🤟🏻 I urge the fans to support both versions of MA, extreme metal needs unity and less arguments😎

Then we have one of the fastest precision drummers in the world (Commando), and the two new guitarists that just sound so crisp and clear and on it! I would really like to hear some brand new material from these guys.
They could bring another 100 guitarists onto that stage and still, the Trey Azagthoth I saw in the 90s would swallow them all with his untouchable gifts .
Much as I love and respect Trey, I think this is the tighter and better version of MA going today. These guitarists do the songs justice, and IMO theres no replacing evil D and Pete. The tucker era has good stuff, but the classic shit is those first few albums.
The band were completely insane in the Formulas-Heretic era, watch any of those 98-04 shows and you'll see a band reborn with Tucker on vocals and ideally Rutan on 2nd guitar. He compliments Trey better than anyone and while 'I am Morbid' have competent guitarists, there's only one Trey and Morbid Angel is his band, from the beginning.

Saw them at the "summer breeze" in germany, they absolutely killed it. Vincent is a fuckin god, Sandoval amazing as ever, the guitarists blasted through the songs an ripped some great solos. They only played tracks from the first four albums, a wet dream coming true, as i didn't even know who "I Am Morbid" were.
Is this band ever going to do any original material, or do they only play stuff from the first 4 Morbid Angel albums? The bass sounds very punchy and prominent in the overall mix.

And I'm just glad he didn't let Christianity keep him from playing some of the best music he's ever done. Maybe him and David have a spiritual agreement 😂you can still enjoy dark things without being consumed by them.

They always put Pete’s kick drum volume so much louder than the rest of the kit!!!! It throws the blast off for me when I hear that uneven mix Love the band, but I’m voting to remove the guitar dual solo portion 🤷🏻
I love the metal pasta. The combination of throwing different things at the wall to see what sticks.. You got simple rock riffs thrown in there, improvised Pantera style riffs, brutal metal riffs, death / black.. Kicks totally ass. 🤘☠️

That being said, Morbid Angel was unique because of three clear elements, Sandoval unique playing style, Trey unique playing style and Vincent's iconic and recognizable vocal tone. If you're missing any of those three elements, it feels off. From that definition, Morbid with only Trey feels off but I Am Morbid feels slightly less off imo. In both case, they should just make up and join forces and stop this stupid game.
