      You've landed at the right place for THE Xenosaga fan, not just a fan. Let me introduce myself.
      I am the current owner of the world's largest Xeno collection, specifically Xenosaga. I surpassed Sweden's Mr XenoCollector last year in the largest collection and have been streaming for 10 years now. You can see part of my collection via the discord on the video description or below of my Twitter. I am not well known, but I've always been around.
      Some of my collection has not been shown publicly due to me trying to acquire the rarest pieces in the world, I do intend on making videos for them, but since I am not a full time TH-camr It's hard for me to make content outside of streaming these days.
      twitter.com/Watte_Tv/status/1531703257906794497?t=dicMo3tJ0gkumUBQTr87cQ&s=19
      Thank you for sharing your comments everyone. I don't care about being popular, and I don't care how much or little a person has in their collection. I care about their passion for the series and conversation we can all have together so I hope you will all continue to share your experiences with me as well!

      I'm excited for what is coming. I really had a broken heart when Xenosaga ended. It isn't that I minded Blade at all, I just felt that the Xeno games were ahead of their time and now people are catching up are realizing how wonderful they are. Xenosaga 3 specifically does not look like a ps2 game at all and I feel limitations of the time got in the way of what it could be, along with logistics, budget, etc. I'd like to see Xenosaga again even if it is reworked into the vision the original staff intended. If anything I'll always have the original trilogy. So either way a remaster or remake I'd be happy. Just hoping Yuki Kajiura can come back to compose too.

      @@WatteTv I am almost 100% sure a remaster is coming, back when they said "no plans for a remaster" was before the massive success of Xenoblades. I am also willing to bet part of the reason Bandai was ok with lending/Sharing the rights to Saga was to tie the two series together which in turn would help the sales of a Saga remaster since Saga never was super popular back in the day.

    It's so validating the find reactions like these from Xeno-fans who played more than just the blade titles. What I love is that the start to chapter 5 is still great for those who don't have the context but for those who know, it's elevated to a whole other level.

      @@WatteTv See most of my friends who played the dlc loved it for the context of what the world was like before the experiment and got to ride on just Xenoblade knowledge. That is what makes chapter 5 so great in my opinion in a vacuum of just Xenoblade knowledge the radio is still throwing tidbits that build off the stuff from XB2 chapter 10 and it's still a mind blow.
      I only got into a whirlwind romance with the series after watching the hype build for 3 and binging all of Xenoblade 1-3. I wanted more so I started Xenosaga and was half way through 2 when this dlc came out. So had odd middle ground of seeing the connections but not having a FULL picture. That is why it's so validating to see somebody who has been with the series so much longer than me, I can't fathom the emotional catharsis of having kept hope alive for something like this for nearly 20 years. It's truly special getting to see a genuine reaction like that.

    As soon as I saw the Radio and listened in, as a blade fan who's yet to experience Saga, I immediately thought of you, Luxin, and Enel. I hope there's a port/ remake of the Saga triology coming to Switch asap now. So keen to experience them.
    Also, a little thought on the trinity processor impacts on the world of Ionios:
    - Ontos - the mediator upholds and supports the world with the use of an avatar (being Alivs/A, Rex & Sulk in the XC3 main game)
    - Logos - bringer of the end, he destruction is what is causing the annihilation effects, but the core is in N's sword sheath.
    - Pneuma - Power to protect, is what's helping support the oroborous power, but like the ability to split and create Mythra, and Pyra, has the oroborous power to split people/their feelings. Which happens to split Alvis/A and Alpha by Gohndor... AND potentially is also what splits Noah from N where Mathew uses the sword of the ned as a conduit for the oroborous power (in this last scene with the interface with Logos).
    Noah has all the knowledge of N at the end of the series (based on M and Mio sharing memories etc.), which means him throwing away Logos and Pneuma at the end is literally saying goodbye and thanks, we'll take it from here...

      I want to badly do a video on the history of Dmitri Yuriev for you all because now Xenosaga fans have a final vital piece we have been missing for 17 years and I feel doing a lore dive into him will give you all insight as to why he is a big figure and why it is a big deal. It will of course be spoiler heavy on Saga, but I think it is a must do for me. So, while I normally don't do this I'm going to be churning out a video I know I can cover with my expertise. Xenobits have been immensely kind and thoughtful and even Enel went out of his way to warn me to finish the dlc asap. I'm very grateful the better side of the community cares to look out for me. Thank you for you comment. I do read them all especially when it comes to the series.

    • @WatteTv
      @WatteTv  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It isn't really an awakening it was more a sense of relief. For many years Xenosaga was left open ended and a promise was made for to us in the final scenes of the game in a way telling us not to give up even though it ended early with the trilogy. It felt like acknowledgement of the wait of fans who stayed with the series and I guess it was extremely cathartic. This whole time Xenoblade was an explanation to one of the biggest questions Xenosaga asked and that's why I was so shocked. This whole time I thought somehow in someway they had to be related and people told me everytime I was wrong as I explained my theories year after year. The validation was insane on my part having been right. It's honestly the coolest thing to be rewarded for being so invested in the series as a fan. Will never forget it.

  • @ag9953

    The radio broadcast was mixing elements of 1, 2, X and Xenosaga, there's of course the reference to the Radamanthus, there's also the Saviorites, the Philadelphia class ark ships from X (The White Whale) and of course the namedrops for Xenosaga.
    In fact, the moment Na'el is in is pretty much a few months before the start of X, which apparently now serves as the origin point for all games in the series, including a small nod to Xenogears; I think it's possible that the "shroud of light" Lin describes in X was actually the phase transition and not Earth simply blowing up, after all, we don't actually see Earth be destroyed, what explodes in that scene is the Moon, the White Whale was only one of several arks that launched in many directions, the Eldridge may have been one, secretly transporting Deus, who would then technically be a type of Artifice.

I dont know much but u said you grew up on xenosaga I think, and I can sort of relate kind of because I didnt grow up on xenoblade but its my fav game series of all time with 2 being my fav game ever just because it was during a really hard time in my life, so with that knowledge of how I feel about thi sseries I try picturing what I would have felt if thats what it was like with xenogears for me like if I played that first and grew up on it, and i can only imagine how incredible this must feel for u. I finally ordered a copy of xenosaga 1 cause idk im lame for waiting this long to play it but beter late than never. Im really excited to start it so hopefully I can feel a fraction of what you maybe felt today, because if I can feel the way I did just seeing rex and shulk again and seeing pyra and mythras crystal I can only imagine what it would have been like for xenosaga that came out so long ago finally come back. I loved ur reactions too because it would legit be my same reaction I loved how emotionally invested u were in this. and hey now you gonna have more xenosaga fans, and yea tehre will be annoying people to play xenosaga now just like for xenoblade but htink about it, ebcause of this game SO many people are going to get to enjoy xenosaga now including me. • @WatteTv
      @WatteTv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think any retcon is needed, more like filling in the plot points because Xenosaga is across many mediums such as web episodes, drama cds, etc. The basis is already there and some of it could have been mistranslation as the internet was not as advanced as now. Back then you could barely instant message let alone chat with someone from another country overseas. What specifically do think should be retconned (out of my curiosity)?

      @@WatteTv well Dimitri Yuriev for one thing. I don't have the best knowledge of Xenosaga but if I recall, Klaus was meant to be the Xenoblade equivalent of him? While also being the doctor that discovered the Zohar in Africa. If you know the Siren model lore, the Conduit was also found in Africa.

    Story is still quite interesting.

    • @WatteTv
      @WatteTv  ปีที่แล้ว

      The combat is far from bland. It seems simple, but I always watch people who realize it is more complex then it is and need help. Turn manipulation is vital in episode 1. In episode 2 they have mechanics called air and down/ground which eventually becomes what Xenoblade fans know as launch and topple. Episode 3 is one of the first games to have the break system if not the first.
      So while I seems simple Xeno made evolved from all or Xeno saga's systems. Sure blade has a consistent style now, but if it's predecessor didn't come before they would have tried different mechanics that lead to the one we have now.

    As somone who's never played Xenosaga (only part 2 was released in the EU, which made no sense) I really want to play it after listening to Lore Radio FM. Do you think there is a chance they're gonna remake/remaster it like XC1 and wait for that? Or should I just emulate it?

    • @WatteTv
      @WatteTv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, well episode 3 has specific issues with filters that make them broken so the presentation is not ideal. The black and white filter is meant to hide things that get revealed later in the game. If you can fix that I'd say go for it, or if you can only play it that way that's fine. I think it's better to play them then not at all. Xenosaga ended 17 years ago or so so I wasn't exaggerating saying I was waiting this long. I truly wish for a remake so that it is given a proper chance like Xenoblade has been fortunate enough to have. I feel of all the Xeno games Saga has the best story to tell, but just had such limited resources and bad circumstances and timing. But yes I would always recommend playing them.

    • @Lirka_906
      @Lirka_906 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WatteTv Hmm what do you mean by filters and black and white? Does the game not run correctly on emulators?
      And yeah, I definitely want to play them now! I absolutely loved XB, and I'm not even a fan of jrpg's. The storytelling is just so good in these games. The fact that Klaus' world is now the same world as Xenosaga means there's so much more backstory that I just need to see! I do really hope for a remake though. I'd love to have all the games on physical discs! I can't imagine them not doing something with xenosaga now, with even the XS copyright in the future redeemed credits means that they had negotiations to use it. So what else did they talk about.... Surely not just the radio.

    • @WatteTv
      @WatteTv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm well yea certain special effects do not display correctly so it doesn't work on emulation well. If someone has played the games and goes to TH-cam or Twitch they can tell if someone is playing a real physical copy or not based off of various things that should or shouldn't be present graphically. You can try it, but often you'll have to make adjustments. It just isn't ideal, but I get Xenosaga 3 specifically is pricey so that really is the only option for some so it is better then not playing them.

    Having never seen the Japanese voices before, its amazing how much my favourite moments feel so much less impactful with the Japanese voice acting. I've always pushed people to play Xenoblade games with english voices just because the localization is so well done that it adds a whole lot to the feel of the game. The way different accents give each character a different feel, and the way that the main cast are always really good. Especially Adam Howden and Harry McEntire. They are both so perfectly cast in their roles that I can't imagine these stories without them.

      It really comes down to preference. For me it is the opposite as the Japanese VAs have been around in multiple Xeno games and for some to have come from Xenosaga was a big factor in me playing in Japanese. It's ok if you like English, we all have our reasons for playing with our own preferences and that's ok as at the end of the day it is to get everyone to love the games so they can continue to be made.

I am foremost a Xenosaga fan. I did play definitive edition in English and adore it, but when Xenoblade 2 came out I wanted to hear Suzuki Mariko who plays KOS-MOS reprise her role in Japanese so in the end I opted to go with the Xenosaga cast which they are prodominantly Japanese voices who returned as none of the English cast was cast in any roles.

      @@WatteTvThat's certainly a better reason than others I've heard. I've grown attached to the Bri'ish accents that were done from the European dubbing, but seeing as you're a Xenosaga fan, and they snuck in both Kos-Mos and T-Elos into 2, yeah, I can see why you'd go with JP... even if they're a small bit of the game.

      Well sometimes it's localisation/localization too. I understand Japanese decently and sometimes the changes don't make sense to me. But I get that process is different then just translation. So really my preference often lies with voice actor/actress selections. Japan has more of a career path so often you get to follow the careers of the voices over time while the US VAs are mainly contract based. Though idk how the rest of the world works outside Japan and US.

      I mean I think fandom infighting is dumb. I love everything in the series and I hope it just grows. We wouldn't have Saga without Gears, we wouldn't have X without Saga, nor Blade without its' predecessors. I hope they all do well so we continue the series. There was a time when this all seemed impossible. I held out for 16-17 years and I would hope that people respect my feelings about the series just as I would respect theirs. X fans hang in there, we may yet all be connected as fans one day.

    No matter what kind of hassles and controversies this series and monolith go through, I'll always be glad that I've become a fan of this absolutely insane and life changing series. I cannot wait to see what Takahashi is about to cook up next. Welcome home kos-mos 🥲
