      Interesting. As amazing as he is this is easily one of his worst sets. Audience is crap and he has better telling of these jokes elsewhere

    My other grandfather, he'd often tell stories to us, asking "Tricky, isn't it?"

    a good comedian tells standard jokes. a great comedian reads the audience and adjusts his set to match the target audience. never blame the audience its always the comedian's responsibility to win or lose the crowd.

      ShottyAxe ShottyAxe Unfortunately, you're preaching common sense to the youtube comments in a comedy video. The people who need your comment the most are too busy pretending they're intellectually superior to everybody who has a different opinion of the comedian.

      Considering the fact that the guy has had sell out after sell out shows with a recurring role on a successful British tv show, I think it's safe to say that this bunch of drunken louts wouldn't know a decent joke if it got up and gave them a haircut. There's nothing smarmy or intellectually conceited about pointing out the blindingly obvious. His audience wanted filth, they got clever instead, but didn't have the wit to appreciate it.

    I wonder, do people laugh because they paid to get in and don't want to waste their money?
    Or are they like Pavlov's dogs? They hear the word comedian and have to laugh, even though the 'jokes' are the same ones he tells all the time, and stopped being funny years ago.
    I watched this, didn't laugh, and just wondered about the crowd and why they were laughing.

    • @doverandover61
      @doverandover61 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It´s because laughing has a social element, watching a video alone one seldom laughs although the comedy may be appreciated, watch with more people and one is more inclined to laugh.
