Totally agree. Love this bloke, him and Simon Evans, but he came across as nervous. His normal, and confident body language was strangely missing. The jokes were better than they came across, due to his strained delivery, almost a case of getting the jokes out in a scripted format. The audience were pretty poor though, almost aloof. A strange set from the master, but I expect better next time, and back to his old self.
Where was this recorded? I'm British living in the UK and it's my first time hearing of Stewart Francis. I've got to say, that just wasn't very funny..
_Adho Mukha Svanasana_ (Downward Facing Dog Pose) which you will never practice - if you do . . . it should not be done by students with knee, shoulder, ankle, or wrist injuries. Similarly, people with spine, hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries should avoid this pose. This pose is challenging to these joints and can prove damaging for such individuals.
He probably still has it, but the material was below par, which sort of forced and strained his delivery, as timing of a good joke is reliant on good jokes. These were forced upon us, him telling them from millions of rehearsals. I hope there is better to come, as I rely upon him and Simon Evans for "one liners". Fingers crossed.
Yes, a surprisingly disappointing set from the master. I too, sensed some of the audience laughter was bordering on being polite. A most bizarre set, and his lack of confidence was as a result of his knowing the jokes were not up to his usual standard. I rely upon him and Simon Evans for "one liners", so he needs to get back to form,........ and quickly.

I just love this guy with his slow deliberate delivery and facial expressions.😢

I discovered Stewart Francis during the COVID lockdown at couldn’t stop watching.

Very hit-and-miss material.

Fair comment.
Love this guy, but the material was not up to scratch, which impacted upon his poor delivery, this time around.
