The fact that the fish scene was improvised by Edvin himself resulting to Omar forgetting his lines makes me go weak in the knees, they’re both such terrific actors!! edit: i was misinformed, the only improvised part is the naming of the fishes, the scene was beautifully choreographed by the producers but that does not take away how strong their chemistry was on that scene!!
My favourite bit of that scene is when he first sits down and they squeeze their feet together. Its so small and perhaps insignificant but its soo loving and wholesome. Little things like that show their love

I was dying for a show like this where the couple wasn't toxic...in fact literally every character in here is so nice. You just can't be mad at anyone because their actions are so real. This show doesn't feel like a show. It feels like a reality.
the football field scene was really one of the most memorable parts for me. wilhelm’s drunken speech was so funny yet wholesome, i teared up a tiny bit.
The beginning scene of episode 5 is beautifully shot - with Wilhelm and Simon waking up under the orange sunlight. The way Wilhelm looked at Simon during his sleep - there is so much emotion and desire. They started to kiss with the morning breath - that is true passion and a realistic portrayal of people who are in love so intensely. I also really love how they were sneaking behind the bodyguards and kissing in the woods. Adorable 🥰 Love from Australia 🇦🇺 & Taiwan 🇹🇼
I'm really in love with the beginning of episode 5. The colours of the scene really symbolise the comfort Wilhelm feels. And I'm so happy for him because this is so rare.

The football soccer scene is the truest form of love that happened between Wilhelm and Simon. The fact that Wilhelm memorized Simon number after getting high and deleting it shows how much he loves him. Simon showed up and toke care of Wilhelm no matter what. I really hope this gets renewed, I'm hooked on these two

And to think -- at one time "I" had been in that position ---- LOL I just mainly get excited and forget because I'm lost in daydreams of thos things long ago.........lol (with many tears attached)
I loved when Wille asks Simon to hold him and they spoon and then he gets so embarrassed when Simon asks him if he remembered what he said the previous night and sits up. The way Simon looks at him, how he has realized this thing about Wille and his anxiety and, instead of taking that body language as Wille not being interested, instead says, "it's okay" and Wille laughs and hides his face. So sweet! Also, the kiss in the Lucia scene and the way they sort of rub noses, the intense way Wille makes eye contact with Simon when he tells him he takes back what he said at the beginning of episode 3 as he's asking him to stay with him, Wille's giddiness on the phone with Eric about his crush and when he's just walking on campus thinking about getting to be with Simon in that episode and Simon's giddiness when he comes back from showing Wille around Bjornstad before Wille texts him to take the video down. Plus the lake scene and Ayub realizing Simon likes Wille and the way they look at each other at the party and how Simon nervously leaves and Wille runs after him. Plus the lake scene and them in the morning after, leading up through Wille making Simon breakfast...I could go on, there are that many! This is the sweetest show I've seen in so long and it feels like an antidote for all of us that have been so touch-starved during COVID.
These two young adults and one was even a teenager during season one era, makes intimate scenes way more natural comparing to a lot of adult actors. There's no awkwardness. The cast selection was so freakin perfect. They are like two puzzle pieces. And Omar doing series for the first has undoubtedly overdid himself 💕

I was barely hanging onto the "concept of love" by my fingernails (which I keep cut short - lol) but THIS whole RESURGENCE OF HONEST TRUE LOVE saved me at the last second. (I was ready to chuck life and everything with it, until I saw the first one of these videos and it brought me back from the brink of total darkness into the light of hope and reality one last time........) CanNOT begin to express how much these two have restored my faith in so many things -- so VERY MANY THINGS.............
As a mature man, I usually find teen dramas quite stupid, but this was incredibly well done. The emotion was very real and the young actors are outstanding, not to mention cute.

Two great young actors. I cannot say enough about the quality of Omar R’s acting debut, and Edvin R is a brilliant young actor. His non-verbal communication is astounding… he says so much with his eyes, facial expressions, gestures, body language… you really know what Wilhelm is thinking, feeling, and emoting without even saying one word. Brilliant. The writing, directing, cinematography, and score are also top-notch. Just a high-quality produced series that lacked one thing…. Too few episodes. Here’s another plea for a Season 2.
I was out of breath after "the first kiss" scene. I had to stop before starting episode 3 and I opened my window and took a deep breath. I'll never forget that day lol
As so many have commented, this show really strikes home, in the heart. The performances are so real and organic, heartfelt, not just reading lines or acting, but living it, and it feels like we're watching as it happens. The spoken and unspoken language is just beautiful. The looks, the smiles, the eye contact, the touches, just so nuanced and real. Omar is a natural in front of the camera you'd never guess this was his acting debut. I can't say enough nice things about this show. I'm in the USA, so I was glad it was overdubbed in English and I didn't have to read subtitles, but wished I could hear the actual voices of the actors. Then while watching it for the 5th time it hit me. I've watched many interviews with actors in this show, and then realized the overdubs were by the real actors themselves. They all speak more than one language. I feel silly for not realizing that sooner. I'm endlessly impressed with this show. I left a note for Netflix about what shows I'd like to see on the network. I only put down one: Young Royals season 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc! :)

They spoke often about how closely they worked with their intimacy coordinator and I have no doubt that that’s why these scenes came out as beautifully as they did
Their chemistry is so off the charts it has ruined me for other romance dramas. It’s rare to have this kind of chemistry on screen, even with experienced actors, they both did amazingly but kudos to the casting they where the perfect choice and I’m so glad they did chemistry tests first otherwise we may never have had THEM together
My favourite scene wasn't here, but I loved the scene when Whilhelm goes to Simon's house after he denied being the person in the video. Their mini "break up" moment, full of silence and slow tears rolling through their cheeks, sad but beautiful.
Acting does not even looks like acting in this series. Edvin, Omar, Malte and Frida are exceptionally talented and perfect fits for their roles. The chemistry between Edvin and Omar is one of the greatest in TV history I swear. I am an adult, I watched so many movies and series, I saw very few examples of this level of chemistry. It is something else. It is on fire. Director Rojda Sekersoz mentioned that since their first casting, he and DOP Marek Septimus Wieser (who is a great DOP) saw that their chemistry was there from the beginning. Edvin and Omar as Wilhelm and Simon are electric together. They often times do not need to speak at all. The looks, the touches, the kisses... everything tell us that they are really in love with each other so much. They desire each other, want each other, they admire each other... most importantly they care each other so much. They are teenagers making some silly mistakes, of course. And the circumstances are very harsh on them. But at the core, they are the perfect match. Kudos to the whole team and the creator Lisa Ambjörn (she is amazing). My special kudos to the intimacy coordinator Sara Arrhusius. She is perfect, she took Wilhelm and Simon's great love to a whole new level. This must be the industry standard! Netflix if you have a sense, you will give us S3 too also. I believe their story deserves season 3🔥

I find that at some point in MF platonic relationships, the lines are crossed. even if for 10 minutes .... at some point especially when a relationship is not going well for one person that person will go ... heck ... but I get along with X, they know me, and they accept me why not try? They might try a date, or a kiss or something before realising okay, this is not going to work. This portrayal I think is more realistic than making it into a full-blown relationship.
This show takes you through all the emotions with all the characters. nervousness, butterflies, hopefulness, anxiety, embarrassment, jealousy, love, grief n loss, comfort... it’s an empathic roller coaster.
seriously this show is so so special i love it so much. the football field scene's gotta be #1 for me, seriously makes me cry when he hugs him its so sweet. and when everyone looks at them when wilhelm hugs simon at the end... omg.

I watched this show and couldn't believe how amazing these two are. Their acting is more natural than nature itself. I loved this show and I can't wait for season 2.
I always laugh when Simon has to rescue Wilhem on the soccer field but at the same time you can see the worry on Simon’s face and you just know he deeply cares even though he’s mad. Even throughout season 2 when they’re both trying to get over one another, it hurts them both so much that they know despite whatever they do, they need each other. They better have a happy ending in season 3. Above all though I think Welhelm would choose Simon over the crown if it came down to it but I would hope that maybe, just maybe, his mom and the Court would evolve (as Wilhelm hinted) to have a king whose other half is another guy.

I loved when Wille asks Simon to hold him and they spoon and then he gets so embarrassed when Simon asks him if he remembered what he said the previous night and sits up. The way Simon looks at him, how he has realized this thing about Wille and his anxiety and, instead of taking that body language as Wille not being interested, instead says, "it's okay" and Wille laughs and hides his face. So sweet!
Also, the kiss in the Lucia scene and the way they sort of rub noses, the intense way Wille makes eye contact with Simon when he tells him he takes back what he said at the beginning of episode 3 as he's asking him to stay with him, Wille's giddiness on the phone with Eric about his crush and when he's just walking on campus thinking about getting to be with Simon in that episode and Simon's giddiness when he comes back from showing Wille around Bjornstad before Wille texts him to take the video down. Plus the lake scene and Ayub realizing Simon likes Wille and the way they look at each other at the party and how Simon nervously leaves and Wille runs after him. Plus the lake scene and them in the morning after, leading up through Wille making Simon breakfast...I could go on, there are that many!

As a mature man, I usually find teen dramas quite stupid, but this was incredibly well done. The emotion was very real and the young actors are outstanding, not to mention cute.

Two great young actors. I cannot say enough about the quality of Omar R’s acting debut, and Edvin R is a brilliant young actor. His non-verbal communication is astounding… he says so much with his eyes, facial expressions, gestures, body language… you really know what Wilhelm is thinking, feeling, and emoting without even saying one word. Brilliant. The writing, directing, cinematography, and score are also top-notch. Just a high-quality produced series that lacked one thing…. Too few episodes. Here’s another plea for a Season 2.

As so many have commented, this show really strikes home, in the heart. The performances are so real and organic, heartfelt, not just reading lines or acting, but living it, and it feels like we're watching as it happens. The spoken and unspoken language is just beautiful. The looks, the smiles, the eye contact, the touches, just so nuanced and real. Omar is a natural in front of the camera you'd never guess this was his acting debut. I can't say enough nice things about this show. I'm in the USA, so I was glad it was overdubbed in English and I didn't have to read subtitles, but wished I could hear the actual voices of the actors. Then while watching it for the 5th time it hit me. I've watched many interviews with actors in this show, and then realized the overdubs were by the real actors themselves. They all speak more than one language. I feel silly for not realizing that sooner. I'm endlessly impressed with this show. I left a note for Netflix about what shows I'd like to see on the network. I only put down one: Young Royals season 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc! :)

Their chemistry is so off the charts it has ruined me for other romance dramas. It’s rare to have this kind of chemistry on screen, even with experienced actors, they both did amazingly but kudos to the casting they where the perfect choice and I’m so glad they did chemistry tests first otherwise we may never have had THEM together

My favourite scene wasn't here, but I loved the scene when Whilhelm goes to Simon's house after he denied being the person in the video. Their mini "break up" moment, full of silence and slow tears rolling through their cheeks, sad but beautiful.
Acting does not even looks like acting in this series. Edvin, Omar, Malte and Frida are exceptionally talented and perfect fits for their roles. The chemistry between Edvin and Omar is one of the greatest in TV history I swear. I am an adult, I watched so many movies and series, I saw very few examples of this level of chemistry. It is something else. It is on fire. Director Rojda Sekersoz mentioned that since their first casting, he and DOP Marek Septimus Wieser (who is a great DOP) saw that their chemistry was there from the beginning. Edvin and Omar as Wilhelm and Simon are electric together. They often times do not need to speak at all. The looks, the touches, the kisses... everything tell us that they are really in love with each other so much. They desire each other, want each other, they admire each other... most importantly they care each other so much. They are teenagers making some silly mistakes, of course. And the circumstances are very harsh on them. But at the core, they are the perfect match. Kudos to the whole team and the creator Lisa Ambjörn (she is amazing). My special kudos to the intimacy coordinator Sara Arrhusius. She is perfect, she took Wilhelm and Simon's great love to a whole new level. This must be the industry standard! Netflix if you have a sense, you will give us S3 too also. I believe their story deserves season 3🔥

I find that at some point in MF platonic relationships, the lines are crossed. even if for 10 minutes .... at some point especially when a relationship is not going well for one person that person will go ... heck ... but I get along with X, they know me, and they accept me why not try? They might try a date, or a kiss or something before realising okay, this is not going to work. This portrayal I think is more realistic than making it into a full-blown relationship.

Guys, all this in just six episodes. What a masterpiece.
I always laugh when Simon has to rescue Wilhem on the soccer field but at the same time you can see the worry on Simon’s face and you just know he deeply cares even though he’s mad. Even throughout season 2 when they’re both trying to get over one another, it hurts them both so much that they know despite whatever they do, they need each other. They better have a happy ending in season 3. Above all though I think Welhelm would choose Simon over the crown if it came down to it but I would hope that maybe, just maybe, his mom and the Court would evolve (as Wilhelm hinted) to have a king whose other half is another guy.
